This is our fourth month TTC baby number 2. Would love a bfp result just before Christmas :) of course unlikely, but here's to hoping!! My fertile few days starts tomorrow .. and then the dreaded two week wait from next week. If anyone would like to go through this month's journey, ups and downs, it would be nice to have some company. And some TTC top tips and advice for the 2ww. I felt very down after my last negative result in November. Good luck to anyone in the same boat Smile. Let's hope for an extra special Xmas surprise.

Hi, can I join please? DH and I were going to wait until January but we decided to just get cracking now. A colleague at work just announced her pregnancy yesterday so now I am even more keen to try!

We are TTC#1 and I guess this will be our first month. I've been off the pill for a few months now and have the FLO app which indicates fertile period is coming up this weekend so we will give it a go. I don't want it to turn into a chore so we are still more of the attitude of see what happens. Fingers crossed all!

90mammasophie · 11/12/2018 12:22

Thanks @whoatemytwix
I think just because I didn't have any ovulation symptoms at all - and haven't DTD as much as probably should have. Don't feel pregnant that's for sure. My boobs have shrunk, if anything!

Welcome to anyone new and lots of luck to first timers. Will you be tracking ovulation? I plan to in the new year.

Not my month either! AF arrived yesterday- 6 days early. This has never happened me before. It's so confusing and annoying and bloody frustrating. Harrumph. 🙄

Manycatsandallthegin · 12/12/2018 19:17

So i posted last thursday this: flo is telling me im in my fertile period and there is a “chance to get pregnant” as of today predicting O day on Saturday. however, clue tells me not in my fertile window until saturday and O day on Monday.

But now flo said i ovulated Monday (had ewcm sunday night so dtd) and clue is saying i should ovulate today....havent dtd since sunday night and dh is too tired tonight. Im concerned we’ll miss our window now.

What do you think? Why would clue change days so drastically?
I did get ewcm on sunday, and had cramping all day sunday. Then felt sick on monday and tueaday randomly... felt fine today, no ewcm until clue sent me an alert saying “ovulation today” and now i have pains in my side. Pretty convinced its just placebo though....

Ah the mind games that ovulation gives you

90mammasophie · 12/12/2018 22:26

You are right. It's absolute mind games.
I wish I could advise but I have never once been able to pin point my exact ovulation day - so I'm the worst person ever to answer a Q on ov. Hope someone can help.

Ah Twix! New year might bring us some good luck. Sorry and hope you've feeling ok. V strange 6days early 🧐

whoatemytwix · 12/12/2018 22:45

Thanks mamma. I'm ok, disheartened but ok x

holly866 · 12/12/2018 22:57

Hello everyone -
This is our first month TTC #1; I've been tracking my stats for the past few months, but this is first month we've tried - fingers crossed and best wishes for everyone

Frillyfarmer · 12/12/2018 22:57

Pfft mind games and it’s always worse around Xmas for some reason? Perhaps the abstaining from drinks for possibly no good reason?

14DPO, my cycle fluctuates between 21-28 day so I’m either 2 days late, or due in 5 days. After POAS and getting raging sulks, I’m not risking it again until Monday...
So this is going to be a long few days...

JS2016 · 12/12/2018 23:12

Hi ladies. TTC month no 2 for baby #1. Just entered my fertile window according to my app (Ovia) but no sign of LH increase on my Clear blue ovulation sticks as yet. Still DTD just to be safe! Sending baby dust to all you ladies x

agteacht · 14/12/2018 20:17

Hi all
Sorry to hear if you are out and fingers crossed still for those still in.

I am on CD33. I have long cycles, my last four have been 35-46 days.

I think I ovulated a week ago around CD 26. So with that I guess AF is a week away and due this day next week...

The waiting, the waiting...

KernowBee · 14/12/2018 20:33

@agteacht

AF is due on 21st also. Nervous. Hoping this month (making it a whole year TTC) is the month. Xmas Grin Christmas baby dust to you.

agteacht · 14/12/2018 20:45

Aw fingers crossed @KernowBee

We have been TTC for a similar time. We started 14 months ago, I got pregnant this time last year (found out NYE) but miscarried a few weeks later. Then it took about 4 months before my cycles got back to a normal-ish state.

Will you test before next Friday?

KernowBee · 14/12/2018 21:03

@agteacht, I'm sorry for your loss. Keeping my fingers crossed for your rainbow baby.

I was naughty and tested yesterday with a cheapy but had a high detection rate. BFN. Last month I was also a week late and thought it was the month. I'm just going to wait now and see if AF comes. Fed up of seeing and overly scrutinising blank test windows.

It took 14mo for me to fall pregnant with DS. I only got the faintest of positives on the day AF was due with him. My periods were incredibly irregular back then too.

Since January this year I've been regular for the first time ever, so I had hoped it would have been easier. Sad Been using FF for 3 months now and temping / OPK's. If no luck this month, going to GP to check mine and partners fertility is okay.

Are you planning on testing before friday?

Lee54 · 14/12/2018 21:57

Hello I would like to join this thread but not sure if I am a little late. I had a MC two months ago but we would like to TTC again. I am on CD 15 I have been using Ovia fertility tracker which said I should be O now but my CB ovulation kit only arrived this morning. When I tested after work it said negative! I am now worried we have missed fertile window. We DTD on CD 9 and 13 but feel we may have missed this months opportunity.
Wishing you all a BFP this Christmas x

90mammasophie · 14/12/2018 22:00

I knew it was coming but a BFN test this morning. AF due on 18th/19th

OP posts:
agteacht · 14/12/2018 22:00

Thank you @KernowBee Thanks

Oh it's hard not to test though isn't it!!

I am going away on Friday until Christmas Eve so definitely will test before then as otherwise won't see my husband until the 24th. But ideally if I could hold out until Thursday... unlikely though 😂
I took an OPK today because I'm paranoid about ovulating late even though I'm sure i ovulated already. A couple of cycles though I seemed to have a second surge. Anyway the OPK was completely clear so that kind of says to me that there's no point in taking a HPT just yet (not sure if my logic follows).

I am also planning on going to the docs in January if nothing this month. The positive thing about a MC though is knowing it's possible to get pregnant. I'm 35 and it would be my first so the clock is definitely ticking so keen not to wait much longer. Unfortunately post MC we wasted about half a year because my body was messed up so that's a real shame.

Onwards and upwards though and praying for us both to have good news ❤️

agteacht · 14/12/2018 22:03

Aw @90mammasophie so sorry to hear this. Thank you for starting this thread. Wishing you a New Year BFP ❤️

@Lee54 welcome, if I were you i would keep testing on OPKs for a few days yet as easy to miss the surge.

Lee54 · 14/12/2018 22:09

@90mammasophie so sorry to hear this. Also sending a thank you for setting up this thread and lots of luck for a BFP in 2019

@agteacht I will continue to test over the next few days, thank you.

holly866 · 15/12/2018 00:11

@whoatemytwix - it could be implantation bleeding as oppposed to AF?

Frillyfarmer · 15/12/2018 22:11

I’m out. I’d quietly been quite sure I was pregnant so I was quite upset when AF arrived yesterday.

Hey, ovulation due Xmas day - so that’s something to go for!

Baby dust and fingers crossed for you all still in. X

agteacht · 15/12/2018 22:13

Sorry to hear this @Frillyfarmer
Keep going x

whoatemytwix · 16/12/2018 08:51

@holly866 I think it was definitely AF- it was too heavy and lasted too long to be implantation. I'm trying not to freak out about the sudden change in cycle length.
@Frillyfarmer sorry it's not your month either.
We are staying with family for a long period over Christmas- sleeping arrangements are such that this mission will pretty much be on hold unless I ovulate this week. Sad

agteacht · 16/12/2018 10:26

Morning all

I took a test this morning and a very clear negative. Today I'm 9DPO. AF due around next Friday. Now a bit annoyed at myself for testing early 😬😂😬

KernowBee · 16/12/2018 10:59

Morning @agteacht

I downloaded another app (glow) put all my info in the same as FF and Flo and I have 3 different predicted AF dates which is fun! Confused today, Tuesday and Friday still?!!

I woke up around 6am this morning and thought I'd temp, was at 36.94. Went back to sleep and woke up at 8am and temped as usual and it was down to 36.62. Logged that one as its my usual temping time. Its updated my cycle and changed my O day, so I'm back at 11DPO according to FF. It's also caused a big drop in my Temps. Sore breasts on the sides, so I'm assuming AF is on the way.

Trying to hold out as it isn't over until she shows, but feeling the pain of that making it a whole year TTC creeping in.

Keeping everything crossed for you. Keep us updated! Grin

agteacht · 16/12/2018 11:50

Hey @KernowBee you got me interested so I downloaded Glow! I've been using Ovia. Glow looks more accurate though - Ovia has been saying AF is due tomorrow but it can't be if you believe my OPKs. Glow however said that I ovulated on 7th and AF due on 21st which is what I've been reckoning. We will see which is right!!

I have light cramping this morning though... when are you planning to test?
