Morning all, can I jump on? Ttc #2 hoping for a Christmas surprise! Been a year now of trying on and off with two miscarriages this year so it would be nice to end 2018 on a positive

@Nell90x Welcome back on the bus. What an amazing present a BFP would be on Christmas day! Hope you get a chance to think up some creative reasons to excuse yourself from drinking this Chrismas!

@MrsLBear Static smile is detecting your LH surge so o likely to happen between 24-48 hours so you definitely have some time left to DTD and have a great change this cycle. I wouldn't worry about a two day gap, sperm can last up o 5 days especially in fertile cm.

And yes, I can understand the pressure on our partners- I wouldn't like to have our chance of conception resting on me orgasmic every time! I would love to do SMEP but know that it would be too much for dp- the smallest thing can make it hard for him to finish and he definitely often needs some time between dtd. Before ttc, we always went for quality rather than quantity when it came to sex. But trying to have a baby changes the game a little! I'm 2dpo right now, my lp can be as short as 10 days so usually more like a one and a half week wait for me

*@Seahawk80 I had almost the exact same thing yesterday- someone asked me if I had kids, I said me usual 'someday hopefully' and they said 'you don't want to leave it too late!'. Well, thanks for that great advice.....

Just had yet another BFN on a FRER. I am not taking another test now... but think I'll deffo get AF this month. (Due on Tuesday). I feel properly evil, which is always a sign. We'll see.

I'm just so sad I saw faint lines then nothing. They were either really terrible evaps on just two FRERs (3 more were negative) or I was pregnant for a day before a chemical.. I guess it's possible.

Next fertile window is over Christmas week so I doubt we'll be able to DTD (small house, people staying, eek) 😬

Pretty sure I missed ovulation this month. But a tad early for af to start appearing, and usually get brown before af, not pink.
Very confused as I figured after mc last month my body would need time to recover?
I'd say no uterine/implantation pain, however my IBD has flared up badly I couldn't honestly say 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyone experienced EWCM at the end of their cycle. I'm on CD29 and loads of it🤷‍♀️ We dtd this morning anyway so hopefully I'll be covered🤞🏻

@Seahawk80 that really made me laugh. And so true as well. People can be so offensive. My mother in law asked about it all the time but she one day just stopped so I think she might have got the hint that we ARE trying and that it's just not happened yet.
It's literally the most personal question. Plus what if you were pregnant and before 12 weeks you wouldn't say anyway then!

@goldflakepaint I'm totally with you. We were always more quality than quantity. We've got friends that do some sort of sexual thing every night. I dunno how they do it. It's tiring!! I cannot physically be in the mood every night. I'd have to tell him to take a break hun 🙅🏻‍♀️

Oh god totally. Because if you DTD last night for example and you get a positive OPK today it's like gaaah don't waste it. We had a bit of a bad moment on Friday night and I just said I can't do this it's making me feel like shit and then bam Saturday morning flashing smiley face and I was straight back on the bus. We did actually manage to DTD yday afternoon before our friends came over and it was so much fun (sorry tmi) cos even though it was for a reason we had no intention of actually doing it.
See my DH refuses to let me go without you know. Which is nice in a way but sometimes I'm like oh dw about me I just need your special juice. Sorry way tmi but so true.

Were you more waiting for a positive OPK to DTD? I think my DH can cope with every other day but not two days on the trot really so my idea of SMEP has flown out the window.

@MrsLBear glad I made you laugh! I'm 38 next week so I'm fully aware we shouldn't leave it too long, I just think it's such an odd and personal thing to comment on. You wouldn't say to someone, you've really piled on the pounds, you should think about going on a diet soon!

Was going to say to anyone looking for an excuse not to drink (hopefully all of us!) I was 11 weeks pregnant this time 2 years ago and someone on here gave the very good advice of don't bother, the antibiotics/ work stress excuses are so obvious! Just confide in one or 2 people if you need to, drink lemonade / lime & soda / coke and say it's G&T or whatever. Grab a glass of wine at a dinner, take a few tiny sips and wave it around and no one will even notice! Especially as the night goes on and people get more drunk. Another good one that my colleague who was a huge drinker fooled everyone with on a 3 day work jolly was that when we got to the bar and a manager was buying a round she would say I've been rushing around and I'm sooo thirsty, can I just get a Diet Coke for now? Between this and telling one colleague who bought me a few "g&ts" I managed the Xmas party and a v boozy work dinner with no suspicion!

I know right @Seahawk80!!! I have complete strangers ask me and then when I've been semi honest I get the whole oh don't have kids yet enjoy married life first. Nothing annoys me more than a patronising comment like that.
Also what good advice on the drinking front!! Hoping I will need to do that this year 🤞🏼

Thanks @Seahawk80 for the advice! I'm not a big drinker anyway, but I worried that family would notice if I was the only one sat there without a drink on Christmas Day! Lemonade in a gin glass might have to do 😄
My friends can be terrible for asking - I was the first one out of our group to get married and they assumed I'd be the first to have a baby. But my husband and I wanted to wait a few years until work and life things had calmed a bit. I confided in a friend that we had just started trying and I got the comment "don't worry, you'll get there eventually" Was fuming; can't even explain why, but that comment left me feeling so annoyed!

I think I can see a faint faint line but I could be bonkers !

Finally had a temp rise today on CD19 so hoping I ovulated yesterday - didn’t manage to dtd unfortunately then but did the day before (and today just in case). Onto the TWW (hopefully!).

Well, af is 4days early. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm kinda glad.
In the middle of and IBD flare, so not exactly the best time to be making the hormones go nuts!
At least I can get my cd2-3 bloods done on my half day at work and don't need time off now.
