Anyone else starting the two week wait?

We dtd Monday morning and now the two week wait. Not that hopeful as I feel I was one day too late. But it was during the 48 window of the static smile face. Second day though. Anyone else just about to start or at the beginning of the 2 week wait? How are you keeping busy?

My neighbours have 3 kids in same sized house and manage fine, it's just a bit awkward with the bug gap and older two being one of each. They would happily share again I think but will probably be verging on too old for that if / when new little person needs to go out of our room so will probably bundle them together by gender.

The symptom spotting has now started despite the fact it's probably only around implantation just now if everything's going as it should.

Forgot to mention I knew one family that had 4 boys, all sharing one room! They live in 3 bedroom and still put all 4 in one room and make the other room a playroom. Age gap is 2 years for each dc. People make it work. And it’s totally doable to put all kids in one room. We stayed at a place during holiday and we had one bunk room with four beds and one room with double bed. But we ended up all sleeping in the bunk roOm. It was super cozy. They way it was done, is each bed had a little reading light, book for books or to place water and a curtain for each bed for privacy. It was done up really nice.

Starkid, are you sure there is no option to expand house? Ours was oringinally a 2 bedroom and the previous owners expanded it to a 5 bedroom! All the houses on our street were two beds and converted to 3-4 bedrooms. Ours is 5, but 3 of the rooms are small (but big enough to be used as bedroom). There is also the option to dig a basement. I have been doing loads of research on this. Another family I know, made the living room smaller to make a tiny bedroom for the girls to share and put a bunk bed.

@Mamabear12 - it's got a teeny garden and is semi-detached, so not really. We are getting the crummy little lean-to and old coal shed converted into a proper utility area & downstairs loo sometime next year. Still not enough room there for a 3rd bedroom though sadly, but that will make some room at least!
In desperation, there's the attic... not sure about stairs though! Haha, ah the fun

Mamabear12 · 06/11/2018 11:36

If you have an attic, most likely you can make another room or two for sure. An architect could figure out about the stairs. Look up houses in your area on right move and you could look at the floor plans etc to see what others have done.

Good idea, thanks, architects are clever so-and-so's. Love a floorplan anyway!

In other news, just POAS and got a big fat negative, which I expected to be honest :(

OneMoreWish · 06/11/2018 14:02

Eek I bought four Superdrug tests today... two for £4.98 but it was buy one get one half price and I figured it was cheaper than frers ( I e got them in to but don't want to waste them too early)

Not that I'm planning on using them from 8dpo or anything ....

starkid · 06/11/2018 14:40

I'm 8dpo and just got a negative @OneMoreWish but think that's because it really is a negative and not because it's too early! It's too tempting...!

Mamabear12 · 06/11/2018 14:43

I poas - but an ovulation one lol. It picked up nothing. Don’t really feel pregnant. Boo hoo. And weather sucks!!! Feeling the winter blues. Need some sunshine! Or perhaps I need to get out of the house for a walk!

OP posts:
Mamabear12 · 06/11/2018 14:46

And btw not even sure if it’s really true about the ovulation stick picking up pregnancy. But thought I will just keep using it once a day to curb my wanting to poas! If I’m not pregnant this month; will need to buy another clear blue kit anyway.

OneMoreWish · 06/11/2018 14:59

Aargh my baby sleeping on me so im nap trapped so I keep googling 8dpo and bfp s

It's so ridiculous we know it's potentially too early and even if I get a faint line then I would worry about it getting stronger or becoming a chemical. So in some ways better not to know too early... but I still want to test tomorrow lol

Mamabear12 · 06/11/2018 16:12

I still don’t know how for my second I managed to wait to test the day before my period was due! Clear blue said negative, but two sainsbury said positive. Next day got positive from first response to confirm it.

Omg... af is due tomorrow... I feel her coming on:( will be testing at the end of the day if she doesn't show! Arrhhhhh I know I'm gna be disappointed!

Mamabear12 · 06/11/2018 18:02

Farhana170 good luck! Let us know the result. Can’t believe you managed to wait until this evening to test!

OP posts:
OneMoreWish · 06/11/2018 18:12

Good luck @Farhana170 xx

Mamabear12 · 06/11/2018 19:09

Omg. So I tested with my ovulation strip and now it’s flashing. I’m wondering if that means anything!? I was thinking I have no symptoms but when my son bumped his elbow to my breast they are more sensitive lately. It seems the kids bump or fall on there and I’m like ouch!! Where before I never noticed. Hmm

OP posts:
Easterbuns1 · 06/11/2018 19:12

sounds promising then! will you use proper test with first morning urine tomorrow?

Mamabear12 · 06/11/2018 19:16

Actually, I read on a forum this happened to someone else and they were not pregnant. So not getting my hopes up! However, my breasts do seem more sensitive. But don’t know if that would be a pregnancy symptom. I will see how I feel in the morning and decide to test or not. Most likely I won’t and will just wait until Friday. As I think it’s too early.

starkid · 06/11/2018 20:15

Weird, never thought to try testing with ov sticks. Fingers crossed :)

OneMoreWish · 06/11/2018 23:26

Hmm @Mamabear12 could be promising..

I'm still fighting my logic mind with desire to test tomorrow... I'll only be 8dpo... best I can hope for is dc1 distracts me and I flush lol

Farhana170 · 06/11/2018 23:30

I meant end of day tomorrow! Only coz I don't have any tests. Otherwise I would have right now! Lol

Mamabear12 · 07/11/2018 07:02

Boobs feel sensitive and slightly swollen. Annoying though that this can also be a sign of PMS. Although, after having kids I never noticed them getting swollen or sensitive (as w breastfeeding they got huge, so after they shrunk and now have room to swell and I wouldn’t notice lol). It could be bc I’m symptom spotting. We dtd 8/9 days ago. Not sure if you could the day you dtd if it was 5am 😀 I’m thinking I ovulated day of or day after. It was the second day of the static surge. But who knows! I’m not that hopeful though as for some reason it seems more complicated to get pregnant! Perhaps because I’m thinking about it too much.

OneMoreWish · 07/11/2018 07:35

Flushed my pee before I lost any
Control. Feel strong that I did but I still want to know lol

Easterbuns1 · 07/11/2018 09:03

well I did an internet cheapy and obviously it was negative as I'm only about 8dpo. I think I just have a poas addiction.

Mamabear12 · 07/11/2018 09:16

Damn it. I’m out. Just saw the beginning of spotting when I wiped now :( basically discharge w some pink. So frustrating!!!!! Seems so difficult now to get pregnant!! :(

OP posts:
Farhana170 · 07/11/2018 10:00

@Mamabear12 oh nooooooooooooo! Don't worry it still could be implantation bleeding. When i wiped also looked like beginning of af:(
