@sunshine1987 really? I would have thought they are fine. When you say base line - do you mean the cover line? Definitely worth checking the thyroid anyway!

@flapjackered no I meant the lowest your temperature should be is apparently 36.2 to 36.5 and then should rise up by 0.2 and 0.5 after which seeing everyone’s I’m wondering if that’s correct x

@sunshine1987 oh really? I wouldn't worry too much I think as long as you get that rise after ovulation and your temps aren't worryingly low I am sure it is fine! Maybe ask the doctor anyway if you're going to ask about the thyroid and see what s/he says (and let me know!)

I hope it is okay if I jump in on this thread, I also was hoping to get some advice!

A bit about me:
TTC #1
MMC August 2018 at 12 weeks

After my miscarriage I decided I wanted to actively try with my husband and be more intentional about trying to conceive. I am using OPKs and temping for the first time.

I had a difficult time with the digital OPKs, at no point did I get a flashy smiley or solid. However I do think I had a positive cheapie test on Sunday early evening (CD17).

My temp has been consistently around 36.15 degrees, and then finally this morning (Wednesday, CD 20) my temp jumped up to 36.76.

When do you think I actually ovulated? And when would have been the ideal BD times?

Sorry - I feel like such a newbie, I am just confused and trying not to be too anxious.

@LilMrsSunshine welcome!! I've read Ov can happen anytime between 12-48hours after + OPK, so id say Mon-tues? I'd say BD anytime from last thurs-this wed would've been fine? Xx

Welcome my partner and I are same sex so we can't use this but if one of had a penis we would be using the sperm meets egg plan, I have heard great success from this plan from so many couples. It's very detailed in telling you what days to do what etc. Good luck to you both. Xoxo

Hi @lilmrssunshine and welcome! So sorry to hear about your MMC 😪 but good on you for taking control of ttc.

You are pretty much right on the same track as me! I also got my positive OPK on Sunday (cd16) and my temp went up this morning (cd19). Ovulation will hopefully have been Monday or Tuesday for both of us, so the optimal time would be in the 3 or 4 days leading up to ovulation, the day of, and the day after.

I only managed to DTD Saturday and Sunday as my DH is away all week now, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that was enough, but would have liked to have tried the day of and day after too but oh well that's life.

Do you get any other symptoms at all during ovulation that you know of? Some people get ovary pain (I get this) and some people get other symptoms like sore boobs etc.

If you read the book "the sperm meets egg plan" it gives you a great break down of when is best to time sex, but in general any time in the few days around ovulation is good as the sperm generally needs to be up there already waiting for the egg to come out!

On the other hand my lovely ladies, when does a pregnancy test sample expire? I've gone and check a test I did 2 or so days ago I think. And it has another line on it now. I'm obviously not saying I'm pregnant but sainsburys tests are bad for evap lines aren't they? I have a pic if you'd like to see hahaha xx

@Delilah7 I'm sure after the 30 mins they aren't reliable, but then I've read some threads where ladies have checked them after by chance and it was positive... post the pic lovely xx

@Delilah7 looks sort of grey like an evap... I'd test again though if AF doesn't turn up, just in case. But!! Someone I know had a false positive with a Sainsbury's test xx

@delilah7 is the left box meant to have another vertical line? I've not seen those before.
I think you have to discard them after 30 mins anyway but yeah just test again if AF doesn't come xx

@Crossfitgirl @cupcakesandglitter I've looked at others peoples and they have them negative or positive I think from what I've seen! Who knows. I'll wait and see what Monday brings. I've got cramps so it's probably AF. - not that I mind this time xxx

Argh, so my partner is home from work and has said that AF is here. So I guess that's us out this month. It's been fun though. It's certainly brought us closer together this month.

Hi everyone, i’ve been watching this chat from the sidelines for a week or so, so decided to join in and say hi!
TTC #1
AF finally showed yesterday CD37 (4 days late for me, latest i’ve ever been) so it was a relief to see some others on here were experiencing the same.
Congrats to those who got their BFP and looking forward to sharing the journey with those of us who are still waiting!
Thanks for the advice on the SMEP @dosmamas (sorry to hear about AF too but at least you enjoyed the process!)

Welcome @rj995 - smep sounds like it often gets the job done! I have tried it but lost the energy, it was a 47 day cycle on the one I tried though so it definitely was never going to happen!

@Dosmamas sorry about AF, I think I will be following tomorrow too.
