I have very irregularly bleeds due to breastfeeding, so I am not 100% sure where I am at in my cycle.

I am around CD36 today, of a usual 28/30 days cycle but I am wondering if a serious illness this month could have delayed my ovulation by a week or so....which would make me around 8/9 DPO.

I think I ovulated late, as I had 2 days of EWCM and I was horny as hell (sorry TMI ) Does that sound right for ovulation?

I now feel pregnant, I am very tired, very hungry, moody and weeing a lot. Tested today just in case and got a BFN.

Have I got a chance of being pregnant (i.e. Could my ovulation be over a week later than usual) or am I just kidding myself.

Any advice welcome.

OH thinking how frustrating for you. Maybe your cycle is still fairly erratic due to your breastfeeding and you may have missed a whole cycle.

If it helps why not think like that. If you still have no AF next week then test again. But you could be getting really stressed for days here with the am I / aren't I when prehaps you are just still settling down.

I know that is probably not what you want to hear I might get shouted down for it. But I am trying to be helpful.

big hugs

buy a first response test. they're the best! it's so hard not knowing. apparentlly years ago they just waited until three months of no periods to class a woman as being pg, how awful. i couldn't wait that long.

kreamkrackers · 18/06/2007 09:29

thinking how are you feeling today?

kittylette · 18/06/2007 10:53

Thinking I once had an 88 day cycle whilst TTC, i was convinced I was PG, but wasnt,

but my AF finally came and i concieved 2 weeks later.

xx

Day 46 Still no AF

88 days, poor you !!! OMG, I hope I get AF before then !!!

BTW I had 2 normal cycles before this one, which is why I thought I was back to normal but I mustn't be.

same as me,

i had DS1 and came off the pill when he was 5 months old, had a few normal AFs but then the 88 day one came out of nowhere, it was so distressing.

Hope she shows soon x

kreamkrackers · 21/06/2007 16:46

thinking - any news yet?

CayKon · 21/06/2007 17:09

I had a faint line like in your pictures with my dd. I thought it was a negitive at first but obviously it wasn't

Thinking · 21/06/2007 20:24

Day 49

Still no AF and the cramps have stopped now too.

I forgot to update that I rang Clearblue helpline about the thin and off centre blue line on their pregnancy test. It was/is a false positive, the Clearblue company know their tests have this problem and are "working on it"...FFS

Why are they still selling these things when they know the tests are duff Anyhow, they sent me a brand new digital test to replace the duff one and that arrived this morning, put in the drawer to be used at a later date/month.

This morning I tested with an internet cheapy and got a very faint pink line on it...showed DH this evening...he noted it was pink and thick but very very faint.

Unsure that this means...it came up within the 10 minutes guidelines but it is so faint it is barely there...so I am assuming that is a BFN too.

If AF stays away I am going to retest with my second Tesco test on Saturday morning.

PS. I found a great site with zillions of test pictures to compare yours with here

thinking - it sounds like it's a bfp to me. i really hope it is. you're going through a really tough time with this, it's so stressful not knowing and what you're going through is horrible as you don't know whether you should be celebrating or not.

i hope you test tomorrow and get a clearer answer. good luck with peeing on a stick and let us know how you get on.

Thinking · 21/06/2007 21:13

kreamkrackers, Thanks for your well wishes...I hope you are right

Strangely, I seem to have accepted that I am in limbo land with no AF and no BFP and I feel I'll be here a while

I was not even excited to see the faint line this morning, I just thought oh look another false negative.

DH & I have plans over the weekend and we will have a good time regardless of my limbo land status...the only difference is if AF turns up I'll have a glass of wine (not that I'm in the mood for drinking)

Off to watch Mary Queen of Shops

you seem to be coping with it better than i would be. use the digital clearblue tomorrow at least that way you should get a clear answer for now especially after your last test and your doubts again.

Day 50

Retested with an internet cheapy and got a BFN, so the line from yesterday must of been wrong then ?

I havent read the whole thread but have you got dr today a blood test.

cedar12 · 22/06/2007 10:04

not today to do

Lizcitral · 22/06/2007 10:14

Hello Thinking,
You're a bit further on than me, but I'm on day 37 of what have been 35 day cycles since af came back a few months ago. I'm wondering if my cycle has suddenly got very long, due to not ov perhaps (still bf but only 1-2 a day) or could it be...? Dd was ivf so would be pretty amazed but am trying to decide whether to go and get tests this pm. Can't decide if I feel any different or if it's all down to excitement/hope.

kreamkrackers · 22/06/2007 10:35

oh thinking i really do think you should try the doctors now.

Thinking · 22/06/2007 11:44

kreamkrackers, My local doctor does not do blood tests, they only do urine ones and they said that the home tests are just the same as theirs. Also as the doctors have no understanding of FAM and NFP and don't understand my concern. I bet all I would get is breastfeeding fucks up your cycles, live with it.

Saying that if I am still absent without AF in another month I might take TCOYF and my charts down and try and get an answer.

Lizcitral, Good Luck, I really hope you get a BFP

JolieGirl · 22/06/2007 11:45

Ummm - am I missing something here. Have only scanned the thread but in a nutshell you have had a few faint lines on various 'internet cheapy' tests. You also have a digital clearblue test now. Why not just use this test and put us all (and you) out of our misery!!!! GOOD LUCK - I think you are deffo PG x

cedar12 · 22/06/2007 11:56

Your dr can just give you a blood form to get your hormone levels checked like any other blood test dont let them fob you off. It might take a couple of days to get the results good luck I hope its a bfp for you.

Thinking · 22/06/2007 13:58

Looks like AF is here, I have started spotting. Oh well, at least I know where I am in my cycle now...CD1. I have learnt my lesson, I will chart my temps all the way though my cycle and then I know where I am.

I was really hopeing the last faint test was a positive one, I suppose it might have been then but I am definately not pregnant now. Might ring DH and tell him to buy some wine on the way home, that way he'll know that the wait is over

Best of luck to everyone else waiting for test results.

Lizcitral · 22/06/2007 16:27

hello again,
OK, I'm shaking and I don't even know if I should post this. just done a cheapy test and it's a bfp! dp isn't home and all I could think was to get on MN...
Thinking, looks like your good thoughts worked. We had 6 yrs ttc before dd from ivf (so this is the first time I've actually seen a bfp). I'm really sorry if this cycle isn't it for you (but I heard -ves can be wrong and only +ves are definitive). Enjoy your wine tonight and thanks for starting this thread cos it calmed me down to see someone going through the same thing.

Thinking · 22/06/2007 18:47

Lizcitral, Oh I am so pleased for you

You have waited long enough for your BFP, enjoy it
