Hey everyone,
I'm out for June so on CD1 and expecting AF to turn up around July 7th. Here's hoping for a lucky bus! 🍀 🚌

I salute you for managing on a low GI diet. I had gestational diabetes with Ds and managed it with just diet. DS's health was great motivation for sticking to it but I still struggled with it.

WaitingforDaffodils · 26/06/2018 12:24

@themagictorch thank you - I know it's hopelessly optimistic to think I might get lucky on my first cycle but I'm still hoping 🙏

I got a Clear Blue Fertility Monitor with some left over sticks for cheap on eBay (£25). I used it from CD5 & got high on CD7 & peak on CD10 & 11. Though I also used a cheapie OPK when I got my peak & that was a strong positive so I think I could have used those tbh.

We started smep on the CD6 (a few goes for fun) and now we are very tired 😂.

Good luck for you this month! 🤞🤞🤞

NoseringGirl · 26/06/2018 12:43

@Changingagain I don't always do that well! I was so strict with it when TTC DS2 and I think that's what made the difference. Trying to get back to that level of discipline. I've had GD in both pregnancies. It's common with PCOS. It was diagnosed at 13 weeks with DS2. Didn't get a single high reading my whole pregnancy though, I was very proud of that! Hard work though!

TheMagicTorch · 26/06/2018 13:17

@WaitingforDaffodils there's nothing wrong with being optimistic! Smile 🤞🤞 Good luck to you too.
Brilliant thank you! I ordered the Clear Blue advanced digitals. Yeah we inadvertently started CD6 with a Sunday morning tumble , then CD8 today - I'm a bit apprehensive about how intensive it's going to be, but DP is super excited 🙄😂

Spottyyellowdress · 26/06/2018 13:58

@wishful30 haha, I read all the same and thought that definitely must be it...but no, sadly bfn yesterday! Must be the earliest I’ve ever tested 😂

Angelmiracle · 26/06/2018 14:54

@Changingagain I was diagnosed 10 years ago but all I was offered was to be put on the pill! I only stuck that for 6 months but had joined WW lost over 5 stone which regulated my cycle. By the time ttc DS Id a lot of that weight back on. But 18 months regular dtd, lost 7lb & was taking angus castus finally got bfp- no temping opks etc. My cycles were all over the place then they're more regular recently but no joy yet.

Basically my GP won't help with PCOS unless you're struggling ttc.I thought they might help me with weight loss but just told me try C25k!!!😬

Angelmiracle · 26/06/2018 14:57

@Wishful30 Sorry to hear you're back on this bus 🤞 for you and lots of BFPs this bus!!

zoClueless · 26/06/2018 16:22

@Spottyyellowdress OPKs are just frustrating either way aren't they?! I'm still waiting for mine and still just getting line that is almost but not quite as dark as the control. Fingers crossed that I get the positive in the test I do when I get in from work this evening.
I normally like the stay really hydrated so all this zero water intake for a few hours several times a day is not making me happy!

Angelmiracle · 26/06/2018 16:52

@zoClueless I feel ya too. I was supposed to do my CB opk with fmu then smu but kept forgetting 🤦🏼‍♀️ Just done a cheapie opk instead and I'm so dehydrated!!

ClaryFray · 26/06/2018 17:52

Hey all, hope your all well. Been manic with work and haven't had the time to check in, had a skim read though.

I'm in my 2ww, already tested yesterday because on a 28 day cycle I should be due today, but my cycles are all over the place and my app says 5th July. Someone will need to tape my hands together pay day!

How's everyone else doing?

zoClueless · 26/06/2018 18:06

@Angelmiracle just constantly thirsty - so annoying!

Becca444 · 26/06/2018 18:15

Evening ladies! Sorry to hear those of you who have been struggling - here’s to lots of good news in July! I used the clear blue OPK tests last month and they seemed to work but they are so expensive!!

My friend had her baby last night and my sister is due next week - obviously super happy for them but doesn’t help with feeling broody when you are TTC!

Changingagain · 27/06/2018 08:52

angelmiracle that's annoying. I managed to loose 3 stone and get a healthy bmi but it was really hard work, as soon as I stopped trying to loose weight and just maintain it, it all went back on again. I was kind of hoping that if I have PCOS there might be something to help with the weight and the facial hair. My priority though is to conceive and hopefully avoid the GD this time.
Absolutely no way I'll be accepting the pill as a solution lol!

noseringgirl no high readings through the whole pregnancy! That is really impressive.

TheMagicTorch · 27/06/2018 09:45

I bought the Clear Blue advanced digital and was going to start using them this morning (CD9) but didn't remember until I was half asleep sitting having my morning wee 🤭

Following SMEP this month and it says to use from CD10 so hopefully I'll remember tomorrow. DP finds it hilarious that I'm marking the calendar on the fridge with the days we've DTD

Wishful30 · 27/06/2018 10:45

Has anyone on here had Clomid?

I'm wondering if I will be allowed Clomid for a natural cycle.
We've paid for a '3pack' for the IUI and only used one so far. But we have a funeral coming up which may fall on the IUI date.
With that and added stress/upset I wonder if I should just accept it may well be wasteful for the IUI this month, but as it's unexplained infertility, Clomid may still be an option 🤷🏻‍♀️
Then hopefully pick up the IUI next month (unless we're really bloody lucky)
Needing some opinions please ladies, and if anyone has had any side effects?
Thanks

NoseringGirl · 27/06/2018 12:47

@Wishful30 my DS1 was a clomid baby. I had 3 cycles. Didn't ovulate on the first (50mg), ovulated on the second (100mg) but didn't conceive and then conceived him on the third cycle (100mg). I was advised to take it at night so I'd sleep through some side effects. The worst one for me was the mood swings. It was like really bad PMT all month.
I personally wouldn't want to take clomid during a stressful time. Having said that, I know other people don't get those side effects. Maybe it depends on how your body reacts to hormones? I usually get fairly bad PMT anyway and the clomid just made it worse and last for longer.

Wishful30 · 27/06/2018 13:30

@NoseringGirl
That's interesting... see, now I have had bloods to confirm I definitely ovulate, so I can only assume it helps the follicle to mature as my bloods showed that part of my cycle to be low.
I don't want to stick hormones in my body unnecessarily, but I need some kind of help 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've been given a cancellation appointment tonight for an internal ultrasound (even tho af is here-yuk) I assume they want to egg count again.. ?
So I'm going to have to just pick her brains to pieces! 🙄

NoseringGirl · 27/06/2018 13:56

@Wishful30 definitely ask loads of questions, that's what they're there for! Hope the appointment goes well!

Wishful30 · 27/06/2018 20:27

Good news!
I'm on Clomid for the next 4 cycles. Dr happy to put off my 2nd IUI this month and still try the Clomid given the circumstances.

Even better, my low egg count of 8 just happens to be 15 this month.. 15!!!!! 😱

So Ive booked a scan on cd10 to make sure we don't have too many mature follicles, or we're not allowed to dtd from then till af 🤦🏻‍♀️

Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Baby dust to everyone Star

TheMagicTorch · 27/06/2018 20:33

All the luck I can send you @wishful30
🤞🏻🤞🏻

Angelmiracle · 27/06/2018 20:37

@wishful30 That is sounding so positive!!! Best wishes to you 🤞💐

Wishful30 · 27/06/2018 20:39

Thankyou ladies.
I feel I can relax a little knowing I've not got to try and get up to Harley Street at the drop of a hat, not knowing what day it will be.
The egg count has helped my mental state too 😊

HidCat · 27/06/2018 20:57

@Wishful30 great news. 🤞 for positive outcomes from here on out!

@wishful30 fantastic news! Hope you’re feeling a little more relaxed.

How’s everyone else doing? I’m about 5dpo (maybe) and having a completely bizarre cycle! Oh well, keeps things interesting...

HidCat · 27/06/2018 21:52

@Spottyyellowdress I'm the same as you. Mild boob pain but nothing else so far. AF due 6th July ish.
