I'm on cd 7. My cycles are 26-30 days. Usually Ov cd15-19. TTc no 4. This is 10th cycle ttc.

Had a HSG today and all was clear.

Hi to everyone!

NH - for me, it's v confusing as to when I ovulate. Someone suggested using ovulation sticks so might try that. Why don't you wait a bit before doing a test? it's only 22 may today and even if you do a test, it might be too early to show a reliable result and that will just confuse you even more. Do you have any symptoms which you think might indicate pregnancy?

Hi Fido - too late mate! I tested this morning.... BFN of course, I knew it would be and it wasn't upsetting, it was exciting. I kept having mad dreams last night that I got BFP so when I woke up I thought I HAVE to test. It is first test I have done since MC and it is nice to be at that stage again instead of at the grieving for my lost baby stage.

I have no symptoms except spotty/dry face but sometimes I wonder whether it is just my body get used to the hormone changes after being on pill for so long then getting PG then MCing. I didn't get symptoms during the first PG either but got PG in first month TTC. This is also first month TTC so I am hopeful (but trying not to get my hopes up too much because I think I will just not be able to cope if I don't get PG this time). I know that is a worrying attitude but I think I will just cross that bridge when I come to it.

OV sticks seem so difficult to use.. I have stayed away from using them so far. But next month I might be willing to try anything!

Oh, sorry to hear about your BFN but am still confused why you tested early (I - although am rather clueless about all this -thought you could only test once the due date of your period has passed? or is testing linked to when you think you might have ovulated). Anyway, at least you seem to be feeling positive . Plus if you got PG so soon after coming off pill then you must be pretty fertile!

Why do you think ovulation sticks are difficult to use? I thought you just had to pee on the stick! Can it be that hard?!

I've decided to order some pre-seed. Does anyone know if it comes in 'discreet' packaging? I was going to get it delivered to work but am slightly worried about the box mentioning 'sperm friendly lube' on it!

Hi spugs, I think it's meant to mimic fertile cervical mucus so helps the sperm get to where they should be. But I am a pre-seed virgin so hopefully an expert will be along soon!

Hi torres I ordered some pre-seed last week from access diagnostics after advice from mrsmc. It arrived today on the post today. Packaging was very discreet, in a brown bubble bag. I reckon you should be alright getting it sent to work. I am still waiting for AF, been spotting for the last 3 days but no AF yet. Not sure what's going on as never spotted this long before.

By the way, I meant to ask if anyone has used evening primrose oil/vitex/any herbal supplemment to help with ttc? I've not used any so far and am considering trying some. I think this cycle and my last cycle after m/c was anovulatory and am getting a bit paranoid that I'll never ovulate! Just want to all I can to give it the best possible chance

thanks my1stbaby, that's reassuring. I had visions of our post room (all young blokes) sniggering every time I walked past. Sorry to hear about the spotting. I had alot last cycle and less this time (never had any before the mc). I guess it could be our hormones getting back in sync.

No, I haven't but was thinking along the same lines- feel I have to do something proactive! would be good to hear advice

i'm a bit unsure about taking EPO as i've read that you're not suppose to after you ovulate as it induces uterine contractions. problem is i don't know when and even if i ovulate as the last 2 cycles i've tested for LH with opks 2x a day and was all negative. fertility monitor never showed peak either, so frustrating . it seems that my luteal phase is very short as well, as i've been spotting since cad18! i went to see my gp yesterday as i was getting a bit concerned but she said it'll take a few cycles for hormones to balance themselves. she was really nice. not sure why but i got really angry after i went home. i think it's probably because i keep thinking of all the time wasted in between cycles. each month that passes with BFN means that i'm that much older and soon i might not be able to conceive at all. i often wake up in the middle of the night in a blind panic. i keep thinking if i didn't miscarry... well all the if's in the world is not going to bring my baby back.

Hi Fido - BFN was fine, I knew it was too early to test but couldn't help myself! I am on CD28 so thought maybe my AF was due but actually I don't think it's due till next Wednesday (cycle unknown since coming off pill and having MC!). I think I am 7dpo so maybe Friday I might get a BFP, sometimes you can get one 10dpo (but you are right it is better to wait till after AF is due, you are more likely to get the correct result)

I buy cheapo tests anyway so it doesn't matter if I waste them (from access diagnostics). The reason I tested this morning was because I had a recurring dream all last night that I got a BFP!

well am on cd 12 i think and been practising for 3 days! Will again tonight and tomorrow just for luck then will sit back for that anxious wait!

Ok, gonna take the plunge and try and join in as we're ttc no 2 and I'm totally not au fait with anything!!!! Ok so af is due may 24 and last one was apr 26 and in the last 6mths its always been 28-31 days then when does that mean I ovulate??!! I know, bear with me I'll catch up at some point!! I have to say we haven't been specifically choosing times to do it cause I'm not clued up. Hopefully this will help me!!!

Hi Fido - I know I shouldn't get wound up about TTC. Sometimes I can be a bit neurotic (most of the time).

Yesterday I was just having a really bad day at work and that made me more desperate to be PG so i can leave!!

I feel much better today though and don't feel so desperate. I am on CD29 today so AF could be any time (but hopefully not). I will try not to test Friday cos want to get pissed this weekend but probably won't be able to help myself.
