I'm a name changer, just incase.

Last night the condom broke.
Haven't done deed for a while and we did it twice yesterday. That'll teach us.
I really don't want to get pg now. Not for a while yet.
Is it ok if I get the M.A.P on tue? Thats still in the time frame isn't it?
Do the chances of it working go down the longer you leave taking it?
Is it free from docs?
If not, how much does it cost?

And will it make me feel sick or be sick?

the sooner you take it, the better. there will be an emergency chemist open in your area today, i'd get down there asap. i don't think it should make you feel too sick.

the sooner you take it the better, somewhere like lloyds of boots may be open today or even a brook cliinc if you can get to one.

I think its free, well it was when I went. You can get it from pharmacies free too, they just ask you to fill in a form.

take it ASAP, was it last night or the morning?

It didnt make me feel too bad, slightly queasy and a bit off coulour for the day but that may have been it mixed with the alcohol.

Contraception is free.
3 days is time window but it is more effective the sooner you take it (see

I would try to find a walk-in centre to get it today. Some branches of Sainsbury's, too.

It can make you feel sick or shakey or bad.

Last night 10.30pm.
I have it all planned out that I'd like no 3 in a year or so. Not now. But what if its fate? Its never broken before.
Not sure how much went in IYKWIM. Most was still in condom. Sorry TMI. I just felt something wet and warm and said 'i think its broken' then we saw it had. Around the base.

Boots will be open today and will do it. also, your doctor can put in a coil up to 5 days after the deed, and then this won't happen again!its easy to have it removed once you want to ttc too

It made me feel like hell but that was a long time ago and apparently the side effects are much milder now.

The effectiveness does drop a bit over time so ideally you should get it today if you can.

God I really don't fancy a coil. Or taking this actually. It just seems a bit wrong.

i'll call Boots.

No brookes near me are open today. One said Thursday for a few hours. Very handy.

The sooner you take it the better it works.
If this were me I would not wait till Tuesday.
You can get it over the counter at most chemists.
It can make you feel very very sick, and if you are sick within a certain time span you will have to take another one.

If you wait till Tuesday then having a coil fitted is also an option.

They generally do not make you sick these days, but there is a higher risk of ectopic PG so you would need to keep an eye on that as well.

tbh I took it literally the morning after was sick as a dog for 2 days and then I still got PG

will it be the end of the world if you do get pg?

do A&E do them?

Yes but it could also lead to a perfectly normal PG.

I know someone who took the MAP, then had an operation, then discovered she was PG and had a beautiful little girl.

I have tried to find it on boots website but just get Condoms.
Shall I ring up Boots.What do I say?

It wouldn't be end of world but really is not what we'd planned. Got 2 lo already and they are not good sleepers. I don't think I could cope with being pg and a newborn now. my dd would be devastated too. She's too young to be a big sister.
We'd wanted to have no 3 in about 18months.
But if this was our cahnce and I took it away I'd never forgive myself.

Do you think some sperm will have got through. I didn't feel a gush. Most was in the condom.

Really depends how strongly you feel about not getting pregnant at all whether you take morning after pill.

Tuesday will be within the time frame of needs be. Can you not just go to Boots? Is it too far away?

Sweetheart don't panic.

Any chemist will have them. You go in say you have had a contraceptive fail and you would like the morning after pill.

If you can not get t today then see your GP first thing tomorrow.
As for most of the sperm being in the condom, where about's are you in your cycle, some times are safer then other, although it only takes one to get through.

Calling Boots and getting no answer. No answer from any local chemist actually. Trying Sainsburys again.
I don't want to go if they don't have it.

Do I have to go or can my dh go and get it??
