For Sale - Persona test sticks / Persona monitor gadget

Grrrr · 30/04/2007 20:10

I have 4 sealed packs of persona test sticks (with an expiry date of September 2007) and am open to offers.

After conceiving a second baby by monitoring ovulation with a persona gadget, dh and I have decided to stop at 2 and so the persona monitor is also up for sale (has original box, instructions etc).
Also open to offers on this in the hope that I don't have to resort to the hassle of eBay.

will you do just the sticks?

Grrrr · 01/05/2007 08:10

Yes, happy to sell the sticks on their own.

OP posts:
munz · 01/05/2007 08:18

how much would you want for 2 boxes?

wheelybug · 01/05/2007 08:20

What sort of price are you looking for, for the gadget thing ?

Did say I was going to give up on OV sticks, and this is essentially the same thing but... I might be interested but have no idea how much they are !

munz · 01/05/2007 08:23

wheely - are you following me? lol.

wheelybug · 01/05/2007 08:33

consider me your personal stalker

Grrrr · 01/05/2007 11:05

Munz
I think they sell for £8-£10 a pack and as these need using by the end of September I was hoping for half price so would £4 a pack (including p&p) be too much ? Or £14 for all four packs together.

They are all from the same batch number so you can carry over unused sticks from each pack to the next month (if you know what I mean).

Wheelybug
I'm probably looking for £15 (plus postage) for the gadget for a quick sale. I keep seeing it sitting in its box in the cupboard:-

a) taking up valuable storage space and

b) reminding me that we will not be having any more babies (ds2 is such an easy baby I might have been tempted if we hadn't already opted for a "no going back" method of contraception)

Let me know what you think anyway.

Thanks

wheelybug · 01/05/2007 13:33

Grrrr · 01/05/2007 14:36

Munz and Wheelybug

Thanks, will be in touch later this evening as I'm at work at the moment with only brief access to MN.

How does CAT'ing work, will I get an e-mail or something ?

Munz, I do have a paypal account, do I give you my ebay name or something ?

I'm so hopeless at technology

OP posts:
munz · 01/05/2007 15:16

Munz and Wheelybug

Ladies, both items have just been posted, although I confess to second class postage.(I was surprised how much two very light packs of sticks costs in postage and I'm such a cheapskate)

I have got proof of postage slips for both packages, but sincerely hope we don't need to use them.

The postman delivered a parcel containing clothes whilst I was out yesterday and used his/her initiative to leave it in my wheelybin just inside the front gate with a note telling me that it was there. "Great" I thought, don't have to trek to the sorting office or pay for redelivery. Not so great, it was left in the normal rubbish bin which stinks of mouldy brie and poo'ey nappies due to fortnightly collections and the warm weather. Why would anyone do that when right next to the normal rubbish bin is a recycling wheelybin which only has washed out bottles, cans and newspapers and cardboard, all clean and not smelly.

Just had to get that off my chest.

i'd complain about the postie leaving it in the bin.

anyhow thanks for sending the sticks out, will let you know when they come

wheelybug · 02/05/2007 19:07

Thanks grrrr... will let you know when it arrives.

munz · 04/05/2007 10:39

Grrrr · 04/05/2007 12:19

Oh marvellous, second class post and it arrived only 2 days later, I just hope the more expensive package reaches Wheelybug as quickly.

wheelybug · 08/05/2007 14:00

Hi grrr - it has arrived thanks (we were away at the w/e so I had to pick it up from PO). Just one quick qu- it has a book symbol and a 5 which the book seems to suggest I should ring persona about. Have you had this before ? Could it just be batteries ?? I'll get some new batteries and see if this sorts it out but just wondered if you knew ?

Thanks for sending it promptly.

Grrrr · 09/05/2007 05:18

Wheelybug

It had a 5 showing but no book symbol when I opened it up to check for signs of life before sending it.

Let me know how you get on.

Grrrr · 09/05/2007 18:30

Did the bubble wrap not fully protect the gadget in transit ?

Getting worried now that I've passed on something that needs attention. I'll refund naturally if there's a major problem. I just put it away when I got pregnant and never thought about it.

OP posts:
wheelybug · 09/05/2007 18:39

Hi Grrr

The packaging doesn't looked damaged so am pretty sure its not that. I have just tried some other batteries in it and its still showing the 5 and book. I'll give the helpline a ring tomorrow and see what they say. Will let you know.
