I have 4 sealed packs of persona test sticks (with an expiry date of September 2007) and am open to offers.

After conceiving a second baby by monitoring ovulation with a persona gadget, dh and I have decided to stop at 2 and so the persona monitor is also up for sale (has original box, instructions etc).
Also open to offers on this in the hope that I don't have to resort to the hassle of eBay.

do you have the instruction manual? might need a clean in the screan bit.

don't forget to reset it as well.

wheelybug · 09/05/2007 18:56

thanks munz. The instruction book says if you get this number/book symbol to call the helpline.

Does the book tell you how to reset it - I couldn't see this when I had a read through. Hope to get it sorted tomorrow as have as have a feeling I might need to start it soon unforetunately (but then you might know that already ! ).

munz · 09/05/2007 19:05

no but the help desk will do - I had to ring them to ask how to do it again after putting mine away for so long! lol.

wheelybug · 10/05/2007 13:33

Hi Grrrr - have just rung helpline and they have told me that this means the electronics have broken and it won't work. Sorry ! Do you want me to send it back to you so you can check ??

munz · 10/05/2007 13:35

there's a few on ebay at hte minute wheely - I got mine form there, was £17 incl P&P I think about 2 years ago, but they're reasonable on there. might eb worht looking into.

Grrrr · 10/05/2007 13:48

Oh Wheelybug, I 'm sorry to hear that. Fecking postal service Grrrrr. There's no need to send it back, the persona helpline must know what they are talking about and I'll take your word for it.

Don't worry, I will refund you as it was just sitting in my cupboard until now so it's no great loss to me.

Are you going to get one off ebay ? If so, would you prefer to keep the test sticks to use with it?

Let me know about the refund, can I do it via paypal ?

Thanks grrrr - you're a star !

I'll keep the sticks to make things easier - either I'll get a testy thing off ebay or if I decide not to, I'll offer them to Munz (with a large mark up of course ).

Suspect you can do a refund via paypal - or at least send money that way so you could just send it to my email address (you go in, and can pick send money and then it just asks for the email address) ?

munz · 10/05/2007 14:06

lol. - yeah but I know what u paid!

Grrrr · 10/05/2007 15:15

Wheelybug what shall I make the refund for if you are going to hold on to the test sticks ?

Sad to think that my little electronic fertility friend is officially "dead". It was fun to pee/dip/test/wait and then seduce dh if the time was right. Ds2 was conceived on the third month after re-starting seriously monitoring with persona.

I saw someone else post on a persona users thread that they, like me, found that they ovulated much earlier in their cycle than they would have thought if they hadn't been checking with an ovulation predicting kit

Hi grrrr - £15/16 ? I think you sold the sticks to Munz for £4 a pack so that would make £16. Is that ok ?

Grrrr · 10/05/2007 19:55

£16 it is then. After I've finished bedtime stories (part way thru' at the moment) I'll see if I can do it via paypal.

Have sent £16 back through paypal

Happy hunting on ebay

Thanks - got it !!
Thanks for being so understanding and prompt. Sorry it didn't work out !!

Munz - will let you know when I am selling the sticks (for £5 each of course).

Grrrr · 10/05/2007 20:50

I have learned how to use paypal to make/receive payments to people other than ebay sellers and recouped a bit of money selling the sticks so I'm still feeling rather smug.

Like I say, it was just an item sitting in the cupboard so it's no great loss to not be able to sell it after all.

The whole selling thing has motivated me to photograph some of the ds's outgrown/surplus clothes for sale and learned how to reduce the picture size for sending them in e-mails etc, so I am actually feeling pretty pleased with what I have achieved over the past 10 days, given that I am usually pants at new technology.

I'm off to eBay now to set up my first auction if I can get over the guilt trip of not just bagging the stuff and giving it to a charity shop like I used to do.
