TTC after the mini pill

Hi ladies

I've recently started ttc after a miscarriage last October.

After the miscarriage I went on the mini pill for a couple of months and stopped taking this on the 1st Jan on the first day of my 'monthly bleed' (I still bled on mini pill but only very light and for a few days usually) after which I had a withdrawal bleed pretty much straight off the bat until 8th Jan.

Since then we've been actively trying every other day but I did NOT do any ovulation tests this month so have no idea when I did or if I did?!

AF would technically be due tomorrow if I were to go off my usual monthly cycle but for the past couple of days I've been having a LOT of watery clear or white discharge. As in enough to make my knickers wet and run to the loo think af had arrived (sorry tmi). I've never had this before a period before and so I'm a bit confused... Did anyone experience this coming off the pill or in early pregnancy (wishful thinking I know!)?

Last week I had cramps and the feeling of getting a UTI which I actually went to the Drs about but no infection according to their tests.

Hahaha I thought I'd just got over the hellish TWW as well.

Soo I just took one of my OPKs just because and I got a faint positive like your first one Chezqueen!! Does this mean I'm going ovulate soon! If so then jeeez this is a long cycle.

Coming off depo, I fell pregnant in 9 months
Age 18

Coming off cerazette, I fell pregnant within a couple of days
Age 19

Coming off cerelle, I fell pregnant in 4 months
Age 24

I've woke up this morning and I feel like AF is definitely coming today. Like crampy and irritated by everything 😭 haha. God knows what our bodies are doing!

Hiya! I had what I thought was AF but lasted 2 days and was just a bit of pink on and off so confused!! Have you taken a test? Xx

I did get a bit excited thinking that possibly but I did a test when it stopped and BFN :( also looked around online and short light periods seem to he pretty common first time after stopping bc 😣 xx

Hi, So I'm new here and have been reading a lot about peoples experiences. I stopped taking Cerazette 13 days ago. Had cramps, back ache and aching/restless legs last might and legs still restless today. Thought it was af but it has not come. I had the discharge and slight cramps earlier this week which I thought seemed like I was ovulating. So thought is this cramps from implantation? I don't want to get my hopes up. Anyone else experienced similar? I thought I should wait 2 weeks to test. So 1st March? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi Pancakes, where were you in your cycle when you stopped? I stopped taking it at the very start of my period and just had another very light short one just over a month later (a week late from my usual cycle). I did have a withdrawal bleed just after I stopped taking the pill which lasted a few days. After that I had all the pregnancy symptoms under the sun, cramps, sore boobs, aches and pains and super tired. As I said in the above thread the period I've just had was so light and very short (2 days on and off) which I've read online is normal after coming off pill.

Fingers crossed your symptoms mean a BFP for you!

Thanks Mangopr1. Well I have been on pill for 11 years. The last 2 years was cerazette which stopped my periods. So I am not sure when my period would have been. I stopped taking the pill with 2 more in the packet. Which was 13 days ago. I haven't had any bleeding. I felt quite ill the first week but then fine. Until last night when I had the cramps. They seem to have gone now though. I've googled alot lol... it says one day of cramps could be implementation. But I don't think I could be that lucky to get pregnant so quickly.

Sorry to hear you had a bfn. I hope next month is a bfp for you. The waiting ia awful isn't it? I read into every twinge. So aware of my body right now.

Chezqueen I bought the internet cheapies too! Hard to resist when you know you've got 20 tests in your cupboard 😂 it could still be too early for you so you're not out! 🤞 Xx

I was actually only on Cerazette for 2 months after a miscarriage I had late last year although I had been on it for years before that. I was worried as I'd heard a few horror stories about women's periods not coming back for months after taking it so was in a way sort of relieved to see my 'kind of' period the other day!

Try to think positive I'm sure it helps :) you absolutely could be that lucky! I fell very quickly last year so it can happen that quick and there are stories out there of women not having a period before catching - fingers crossed you're one of them xx

Yeah I keep thinking don't waste them but then remembering how cheap they are and thinking what the hell 😂😂 going to stop now until the next tww though as I'm pretty sure that was my period and I'm in a new cycle! I'll start with the OPKs soon I think in case Xx

Thanks, I hope I am pregnant but guess I should wait to test. Unsure when to test as I don't know my cycle. Assume if I wait 3 weeks to test. But like you guys I want to test now! And everyday till I get a bfp! May get some cheap ones if this isn't it. Save some money.

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. But I do know 3 friends who miss carried last year who now have babies. So I am sure you will get a bfp soon. Keep me updated how you get on. I will maybe test next week as i am getting impatient.

I came off cerazette in November and had a weird period after 16 days. Then another after 19 days (start of December) then a 27 day cycle (start of January) and found out at the start of Feb im pregnant! Currently 6 weeks!
