Askabusyperson ? like the name welcome to the watching of the kettle boil! It is all consuming isn?t it? you?ve got pretty far though ? not long now!

These stats may help you to stop testing! They relate to the number of BFPs corresponding to dpo:

10dpo 35%
11dpo 51%
12dpo 62%
13dpo 68%
14dpo 74%
15dpo 80%
16dpo 88%
17dpo 92%

I can honestly tell you that in my 10 months of TTC, I have only used about 4 tests ? honestly! I thought it was a waste of a test before 10dpo based on the above and as my longest LP has been 12 days, I only test if I get past that. I did once and I got a BFP (though MC ) I?m trying the same philosophy this time round. I do eat a lot in the 2ww, think its nerves!

Hey Mum03 poor you, you can symptom spot until your half mad! But you haven?t long to go either have you? If you leave it a few more days to test, your chances of getting a BFP are much higher (see chart above) Good luck!

I however am being a complete numpty!! at best I am 5dpo ? too early for anything, I may only be 4dpo as my software changed my date of OV yest based on my thermal shift in temp. I am imagining breast tenderness beyond the normal for this stage plus a heaviness and burning around the nipples, I am imagining increased creamy CM, I am imagining a weird taste in my mouth, stomach cramps, bad stomach, gas and a flushed and burning face ? all of which I had when I was pg and none of which are probably really here at all but then again, maybe they are?. We didn?t get as many shots at goal this cycle and I am only one cycle past my MC so my body could still be messed up like it was last cycle but still I hope and it puts the most foolish spring in my step and butterflies in my tummy ? oh the power of the mind!

lissielou · 01/05/2007 18:56

Pancha - evaporation lines can appear after 10 minutes (or whatever the instructions read on the box). It is a false positive,as it is just where the test starts to dry that the lines appear. Lines that appear within the correct time are fine. As long as your lines appeared within the right time-frame - then congratulations are due to you. well done!

As for me - I am out this month. AF just arrived.

Goingfor3 - Sorry to not be pg buddy with you, it will be strange having a cycle without you as my buddy.

goingfor3 · 01/05/2007 20:18

mum03 . I'm really hoping you get your BFP at the end of the month.

panchagarmendia · 01/05/2007 20:22

mum03 - nooooo! am so sorry for you

panchagarmendia · 01/05/2007 20:23

oh my god, that should have turned out like this:

MerlinsBeard · 01/05/2007 20:57

just popped in to say hey. I seem to lurk on threads with most of you at this point in my cycle. Thought it was about time i said hey!

Lissie, hopefully your symptoms are og symptoms

MrsMC, Glad to see you are here, hopefully it will work out soon for you

As for me, well i am CD29 but have irregular cycles - the longest has been 40 days since i have been recording it since m/c in June last year, i have no clue when i ovulate and actualy we aren't officialy ttc, just not using any contraception. According to mymonthlycycles.com my average cycle is 36 days so i have another week to go yet

AskABusyPerson · 01/05/2007 21:31

Great test stats MrsMcJnr, I will try to resist until AF is due (Sunday) but doesn't appear! In fact I'm so busy with my job (childminder) that there's no way I'm going to be able to shop for pg tests till saturday and that will be 14dpo!

My name is in honour of my motto, If you want something done, ask a busy person! i.e. me. As well as childminding I run Rainbows and Brownies and a childminders group, bake birthday/celebration cakes to order, and very occasionally fit in time to do housework ! Mad I know. And I'm looking forward to being pg and then having a tiny one as it means I'll get a bit of a rest from all that!!!! Not sure the housework will get done though....my dh is hopeless at cleaning!

lissielou · 02/05/2007 07:13

hi MoM, good to have you here.
mum03, im sorry!

well sickness-check
headache-check

cd26, 12dpo.

Hello. I've changed my name - I was Hespera but I prefer this name! I"m out for this month too.
AF arrived yesterday.
for those of you who are in my boat too
I'm still quite new to this. Does that mean I need to move to June TTC now?

lissielou · 02/05/2007 10:27

love the name pinkmartini, you dont have to go if you dont want to, i think now tho your ttc board will be may, so sorry!

my SiL is in labour and ds has gone to nursery. its all go here and all im thinking of is that on sat af'll show up, suitcase in hand ready to make my life miserable for 7-10d!

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 02/05/2007 15:46

Hope the migraine is better today Lissie hate them! Hope all goes well with your SIL. I am feeling incredibly bloated today and getting some cramps. Boobs are swollen and sore, funky pee , funny taste in mouth still, wind ? god, I hope I am pg and not just a revolting person! thought I saw the tiniest amount of blood this morning but I could have imagined it. Had a horrible thought that maybe AF is on her way, early! I only got to 7dpo last cycle but then again, it was a very odd one.

Mum03 ? sorry hon hope you are ok. Sending hugs.

Any news Pancha?

Mumofmonsters I know you! Thanks. Good luck and if it?s not this cycle, I hope you get more regular. This is only my 2nd cycle after my MC in March. The first Cycle was 40 days long and if I OVd at all it was cd33 and I got AF after only 7 days touch wood, things seem to be more like normal this cycle with OV cd17.

Askabusyperson ? resistance does save money! It?s a good motto and true, I?m a busy lady too mostly doing nothing I imagine but I seem to get more done in a day than most (extra-curricular that is, have to say my work suffers due to my MN addiction! do you have any DC already?

PinkMartini ? I like that! Where did the old name come from? Sorry you are out re moving on, if you have a cycle of 28 days or less you could join us on the May thread, you just never know, you might squeeze a BFP in before June!

lissielou · 02/05/2007 16:44

well, SiL has had a bonny baby girl called ruby weighing in at 8lb2, and ive spent the last 4hrs either in tears or feeling guilty for being so selfish.

still, not out yet. no af signs, still feel sick. must not test!

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 02/05/2007 16:59

that's lovely! you'll get one soon Lissie, I know it! you are the most fertile person on here I think!

lissielou · 02/05/2007 17:06

pmsl, i think youre prob right. dh has super-sperm!

OP posts:
AskABusyPerson · 02/05/2007 20:11

MrsMcJnr - I have one dd, aged 4.5. She was a surprise so I had no idea I was pg until I had a 'gosh my period hasn't arrived and I'm feeling sick....I wonder why?' thought!!!!! So this time I know I might be and it's terrible waiting!

Don't the days go sooo sloooowly when one is waiting for something. I minded 3 children under the age of 5 yesterday and normally those days fly by but yesterday really dragged.....and it's only wednesday eve....AF not due till sunday.....

I've recently started minding a 4 month old, that lovely baby smell, slightly sweet and slightly gone-off milky....yum! Makes me even more broody! I've only got him for 5 weeks and I know it'll be hard to say goodbye! (The family are moving out of the area!)

Lets hope this month is good for you all who are still in....I won't be too disappointed if I'm not pg this month (yeah right) but it is our first ttc month and I read that it can take a woman in her 30's on average nine months to conceive...

lissielou · 02/05/2007 20:49

aska, mines due sat. know what you mean about baby smell,

PinkElephant · 03/05/2007 12:19

Hi all,
Still waiting for AF to arrive.....should be arriving anytime time today I'm sure. Couldn't resist a PG test on tuesday and definately negative Still having cramps all the time so its only a matter of time now and am fully prepared this month

panchagarmendia · 03/05/2007 13:41

okay, I've done three tests by now (good thing too they're really cheap where I live ) and they all came up with two lines!!!

Good luck to all of you who are still waiting, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

MrsMcJnr · 03/05/2007 15:22

Yeah Pancha!

I have a new symptom - crying over the sentimental messages in Father's Day cards - please tell me there is a reason for this!

Hang on in there ladies!!

panchagarmendia · 03/05/2007 15:41

MrsMcJnr - yeah indeed !! hopefully for all of you really soon too.

OP posts:
