we can symptom spot and discourage early-testing etc.

lissielou- cd 16, 1dpo, ttc cycle too many, 4mcs and 1 ep

tbh mum03, ive had a bfp at 7dpo before and with ds i had a bfp at 10dpo. thats why i always test early!

I'm all miserable and grumpy today. It must be the build up to AF.... oh and also for being so foolish and testing on saturday morning, it was far too early but also very definately BFN. Thought I'd test so I could drink without feeling guilty on saturday night. Oh the misery of TTC again, a little part of me really hoped I would get PG first time after being allowed to TTC again, oh such a fool

PinkElephant, i think i know how you feel, i've been miserable and grumpy the whole weekend, most probably for the same reason! haven't tested yet though but am sooooo tempted, although i know it's stupid and going to be negative anyway. when's your af due, maybe we're due on the same day...

right, i just gave in and did a test ... i know, i know i'm weak BUT
a very faint second line did turn up! oh my god i don't dare to think it's a BFP
am off to the bathroom to check if it's still there!

I would do, but not until tomorrow morning at the earliest (belive me I know what it will be like trying to sleep tonight! lol) what CD are you on?

I have heard that around 7dpo you do have a serge of the hormone so in some cases/some tests can give a 'false pos' but if you're deffo post that then fingers crossed for you.

ok lissie is on cycle day 16 (as in the first day of her periood is 1 so 16 days form the startt of her period) 1DPO = 1 day past the ovulation time 4 mc = 4 misscarriges and 1 ep means 1 eptopc pregnancy.

it's just really so we know where each otehr are re cycle timings etc.

meto - i'm not sure i can be that sensible not to test again until tomorrow morning

i thought you could just get false negs, not false pos? am definitely past 7dpo, so am out to buy another test (for tomorrow morning, promise!)

MrsShrek - translation:

cd 16 = cycle day 16 (cycle day 1 being first day of af)
1dpo = 1 day past ovulation
ttc = trying to conceive
4mcs = 4 miscarriages
1 ep = no idea myself!

Ah thanks! Now I dont feel so silly!!!

My other 2 kids wernt planned and its nice to actually make the decision but Im so impatient!!!

I dont have regular periods so I couldnt tell you where in my cycle Iam but I test whenever I feel like it which i should stop or when ever I feel like winding DP up i make him buy one lmao!!!

ah panch - I peed at 12dpo with literally a drop of pee and it showed a pos so who am I kidding, but for the sake of your £10 not to mention sanity (if it's a neg after a pos - and hopefully it's not) you'll be forever thinking if only i'd waited/etc. so WAIT!!!! or get a CB digital with 2 tests lol.

mrss- welcome to the fun that is ttc chick. is there any reason in particualr you're not having AF?

I had a mirena coil in until just before xmas and GP said it could take a while for them to regulate again. I just started another thread coz I dont want to hijack this one!

Its on the conception board but cant remember the name!! Oops!

software has changed my OV date to Fri from Thurs thus making me 3dpo not 4 and also making my BD stats even worse Think it's because my telp didn't rise the day after OV as it usually does.

Ok, I've resisted tempation thus far but Im gonna have to join you if you don't mind! I thought I'd be able to manage the 2WW but ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH I can't! Had dd in 2002, was a surprise so no 2WW there, now can't believe how it consumes my every thought and visit to toilet to check for possible implantation bleed!

I'm on cd23, and 9dpo I think as am only going by me being clockwork 28 day cycle and noticing ewcm around cd14.

I am SOOOO tempted to test but am resisting until AF due.... I found great site about tests and the process that happens after ovulation - peeonastick look at the pregnancy test FAQ.

Sorry to read of bfns...hope they turn into bfps next time.... Good luck everybody!

lol, i always get a belly in my 2ww so i strut around with it sticking out just in case smeone has xray vision and can say "youre pg"

AARRRGGGGG at myself, did a test this morning, and it was of course negative.... except - would you believe it I have never seen anything like a second line on the test, no real idea where it is - til today, no colour but must be an evaporation line, even though there in less than 5 mins. But of course because I have my mind convinced that if goingfor3 is pg then I must be I am now driving myself crazy with symptom spotting.

Like, I took my temp this morning (haven't for a while) and it came out at 36.8 - which is EXACTLY the same for the day before af due on every other cycle I have temped, but of course that was not what my mind said - suddenly, well it was because I woke up at 2am and again at 5am (going straight back to sleep) that it must be wrong..... duh - I don't think so.

Of course I have sore boobs, bloating, flatulance, and wanting to wee all the time, but do I think this is pre-af, of course realistically BUT then half the time I am telling myself it could be cause I am pg... duh .... then why the negative test....

Oh someone please come here slap me and tell me to get wise to myself.

please tell me about an evaporation line, you got me worried here now that the second line i saw yesterday and again today was in fact just that...
