CD12
BFP Due 7th Jan 2018 Halo
Is anyone Drinking Alcohol over christmas ? I usually get sloshed as i don't drink much during the year but worried about over indulging if there's a Bean onboard can you drink super early in pregnancy ?

LostMyBaubles · 21/12/2017 21:43

Kiri could be you've picked a virus up?

Praise
I don't drink at all (religious reasons) But from what I've read from other people on these boards they've had the odd drink rather than too much so they didmt spend the rest of the 2ww worrying

Either 9dpo tomorrow or 7dpo will be testing again in the morning

kirinm · 21/12/2017 22:15

Baubles - possibly. Feel very much at the edge of a cold which is infuriating as I had one a few weeks ago whilst on holiday and it knocked me for six then. Just in time for Christmas 🙄

Praisebe · 21/12/2017 22:20

No negative imaging needed to see this line !! So glad im finally ovulating Grin

kirinm · 21/12/2017 23:03

Praisebe - sorry that OPK doesn't look positive to me. The test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. Was your earlier one much darker?

Praisebe · 21/12/2017 23:15

Its positive lines don't have to be super dark for it to be a positive and its not due to be darker until Saturday when i actually ovulate its just building up to that at the moment

kirinm · 21/12/2017 23:36

A positive does have to be as dark as the control line on most OPKs. Sorry if that's not the case with the ones you're using. I use the Internet cheapies.

Praisebe · 21/12/2017 23:43

No it doesn't. If you've seen any of the posts on here for tests you'd know that a positive isn't always as dark as advertised its still a positive regardless
And after 3 yrs of TTC and 2 mcs i know a positive when i see one Hmm

kirinm · 21/12/2017 23:55

Oh calm down. I'm also high up in the numbers game if you want to spout that crap. 6 pregnancies, 5 miscarriages. I know how to use an OPK. I don't think you do.

Jfw82 · 22/12/2017 06:09

11dpo and another BFN this morning... We
go away for Xmas today until Tuesday so not sure if to take the tests with me or just try to leave it and test when I get home if AF hasn't arrived. ICs make it so cheap to test that I've done one most days this week Blush

LostMyBaubles · 22/12/2017 08:24

Praise for what it's worth I never got a full on dark one but think I missed the surge and was picking up the build to the surge

So I tested this morning at 2.30 when middle one woke me up as he needed loo

Just ic and I dipped and left it

Forgot about it then went back and there's a faint line on it

So did another 1
And it was working very slowly (pink was still moving up so not completely clear yet) and that looked like a very faint line was forming too

I've read a few times that ic take a bit longer to show up

Also don't want to get my hopes up

And like a mad woman will prob test once I've held wee in for a few hours lol

LostMyBaubles · 22/12/2017 08:26

Jfw I picked 25 for around £2.50 😶

Praisebe · 22/12/2017 08:57

Ive never had a fully dark line on either an OPK or PG test but they have still been positive regardless even had it confirmed by my GP that they are advertised darker than in reality. So long as the line shows straight away its a valid positive but if its left out i can be a false positive all mine have shown straight away each time so counting them as positives Grin
I think that other poster has some ishoos and people skills to work on

Praisebe · 22/12/2017 08:58

My surge is still building so the darkest it'll get in on Saturday or Sunday then it'll go down again and hopefully I'll get a BFP this month if not next month we'll keep doing Smep and keep going

kirinm · 22/12/2017 09:09

I think you're really rude. And need to do some research. Any line on a pregnancy test regardless of darkness is a positive. An OPK picks up the lutenising hormone which is present at low levels all of the time which is why you can get a faint line at other times in your cycle. An opk picks up the surge in the luteinising hormone. That's it. I don't know what you think a 'positive' is.

My only issue is that you're refusing to acknowledge that what you're saying is wrong and being aggressive at the same time. Please put your picture up on the conception board and ask if people think it's positive.

Bringing up your miscarriages and length of time trying to conceive as evidence of your knowledge being better than mine is just pointless because a) you're still wrong and b) I can beat you in that numbers game if you insist on playing it which is totally ridiculous anyway.

peterpanwendy · 22/12/2017 09:29

@kirinm praise isn't saying it's a positive she is saying it's building up so will continue to darken until ovulation which she predicts to be in the next couple of days.

Please let's try to get along and support one another.

kirinm · 22/12/2017 09:36

She actually says any line is a valid positive which was what I am disagreeing with. Being supportive shouldn't involve agreeing that something is positive when it isn't. It doesn't do anyone any favours. I'll leave you guys to it. Hope you all get your positives be it on an OPK or pregnancy test.

LostMyBaubles · 22/12/2017 16:58

How is everyone doing??

I can't stop weeing!
Which I hope is a good sign
Been to the loo atleaat 10-15x
Was 5x just before 10am lol

Aph413 · 22/12/2017 18:12

I have zero symptoms apart from mild cramps every day since ovulation and Sunday will be 14dpo. Not sure if AF will come on Sunday even if it is a BFN. Keeping my fingers crossed either way

I’m just plodding along assuming OV was 19th / 20th as my OPK this morning was a definite no line, where as my test on 19th eve was stronger and tailed off to a negative. Couldn’t test before as I went away without OPK’s. It makes me 2/3 DPO and I’m just feeling little cramps constantly. I haven’t paid attention for so long.

Prior to conceiving my first I was told I had one blocked tube during a HSG Test. I’m considering having a HSG re done privately in Jan or Feb Cycle if i don’t get a BFP. I had one good tube but that was obviously pre pregnancy and c section. I may as well have it checked as a precaution.

Hope everyone is ok!

LostMyBaubles · 22/12/2017 18:34

Just did they ever tell you why it was blocked?
Did you manage to dtd during those days

I've got stomach ache but not cramp type
It's a weird pulsating feeling

I've been to the loo around another 4x since my last post
Just been and there was some cm
Aph fx it's a good sign!

Aph413 · 23/12/2017 08:34

Still BFN over here. Pretty fed up of my cycles now and I know I can't do anything to regulate them

Jfw82 · 23/12/2017 08:58

Another bfn for me too.... but no signs of af either.... guess will just have to wait and see Sad

Wendykennedy · 23/12/2017 09:15

Anyone had a really late positive? Due my AF today with usually 5 days of spotting and PMS in the run up. I'm due today, no PMS symptoms and a BFN today not even a squinter! So either my regular cycle has now decided to play tricks on me in my first cycle of TTC or I'm pregnant with no positive test!

peterpanwendy · 23/12/2017 09:19

@Wendykennedy took me 13 days after a missed period to get a strong positive! You're not out till AF shows x
