my first ever test

im not sure if its me being daft but i did my first pregnancy test to day and it now kind of feels more real that we are ttc

does that make sense?

im prob just being daft, i knew it would be 100%neg as we only dtd once i couldnt work out my ovulation days and i have been sick for most of the month with a cold :(

i only did it because a mate who is pregnant with her third said i should (my cold is making my pre period symptoms worse)

im being daft i know lol but have included a picture anyway :D

Yep, try to process the idea with your DP!

If you don't already have folic acid, go and buy some tomorrow.

In a couple of weeks phone your doctor to make an appointment with the midwife, which probably won't be for another 2-4 weeks.

Until that point don't drink or smoke, do read the directions on any medication, and if you experience any bleeding or pain, contact your nearest early pregnancy unit.

Make sure you’re taking folic acid and vitamin D if you aren’t already.
Other than that you don’t do much! Most hospitals let you self refer and they’ll see you around week 9-11 get you booked in and sent off for a scan.
Get lots of rest you’re bound to be knackered like you’ve never been before 😂 first trimester tiredness is like a sack of bricks.
