my first ever test

im not sure if its me being daft but i did my first pregnancy test to day and it now kind of feels more real that we are ttc

does that make sense?

im prob just being daft, i knew it would be 100%neg as we only dtd once i couldnt work out my ovulation days and i have been sick for most of the month with a cold :(

i only did it because a mate who is pregnant with her third said i should (my cold is making my pre period symptoms worse)

im being daft i know lol but have included a picture anyway :D

Sainsbury's own are the worst tests I've ever used. They are always faintly positive, even the time I got my husband to use one! I don't know how they can sell them. It's probably negative as it looks like every 'negative' Sainsbury's test I've ever had, but you could try a FRER for an accurate result

I probably wont bother with another as i said im due on in the next few days and i only did this one as my friend made me lol

I dont see a line at all if i happen to be late il test but im getting all the normal twinges

Popped out on a lunch break and picked up a poundland pack told my self i would do it tomorrow just in case and ended up doing it in the toilet at work

What tests are a good brand to stock up on? I told myself i would only ever test if late but im guessing that wont be the case so im gona have to get some in

Get the amazon ones, they're cheap! :)

I think I might see a hint of a line on that poundland one, but wait 48 hours. It is too squinty to tell yet.

Looks positive to me to - both of them. First response should give you a fairly clear positive now. Get one bought haha I love a line thread. Tentative congrats!!!

Remember that the line won't be as strong as the control line in the majority of tests although my cheapies from eBay showed a very strong line one day after AF was due (I've seen others use the same tests with only the faintest of lines so it could just be me)

Use first wee of the morning and test when you're period is due

Ooh I think there is a line in that latest test, but it is a squinter, I recommend that you test again in the morning!

I’m not sure myself but I’m not one to say as I tested and assumed I didn’t see a line (thought it had to be a dark line to be pregnant) and so forgot about it. Left it a few months and found out I was pregnant after a visit to the docs to wonder what on earth was going on with me

I can see lines on both!! I bet if you did a frer tomorrow morning you'd get a nice shiny pink second line!

Can i ask how good are clear blue? The rapid detection ones

Depends who you ask - I've never really rated Clear Blue but some swear by them
