It's up to you, Scorpio, but, if you can spare the time and the energy then it might be worth it, just so you know you've done something about it.

bbabymumma - dd much better ta. She had v last tuesday, d lsat wednesday then a bit of v everyday until sunday - mostly just after we put her down at night!

Rugby men are lovely! The ugly ones are actually really sweet so that makes up for their lack of looks and the good looking ones are really sweet too so that's just fab! It's none of your 'high-paid-greater-than-tho' footballer rubbish! At Tigers the players walk to the pitch thru the crowd and always sign autographs/have pictures taken etc as they leave the pitch after matches. It's well worth a visit - and the game is only 80 mins so it's not too long if you aren't sure about it!

HannahMTW · 18/04/2007 10:29

Hi all! Hope all ok today.

I'd go to the doc scorpio, it's v long for you, how long have your cycles gone on before?

Well I officially have to give up hope now, AF came late last night so rather gutted. Hormones are definitely all over the place, haven't been so teary in ages! Never had such a long cycle before (38). Could something have been wrong? Or do you think I nearly got preg but went wrong? Think I'm looking for any reason to suggest I might have been almost PG so I know it is possible for me!

Well here's to a successful May!

Bbabymumma · 18/04/2007 10:40

HannahMTW sorry to hear that. I hope you are ok. My cycle was extraordinarily long last month which was unusual and eventually AF arrived and was heavy and I felt v tired but I had tested and had only got BFNs. Who knows. We won't unfortunately. Good luck for May. Have a nice drink tonight!

Tigerschick - my mate from school went out with Josh Lewsey at uni. He's a rugby player yes? quite blonde if I remember rightly. I don't think football players are at all attractive any more. Just spoilt chavs. Had a crush on Gary Linekar in 1988 though. Can't believe I admitted that.

tigerschick · 18/04/2007 10:41

So sorry about your af Hannah. Try not to obsess too much, if you start thinking about it too closely you'll drive yourself to distraction.
Chin up and onward to May

tigerschick · 18/04/2007 10:43

Yes Bbm - Josh Lewsey plays for Wasps and England. He used to be a soldier and went to Sandhurst. When he first started playing he used to stand to attention when they played the national anthem, but I think he's packed that in now.

Bbabymumma · 18/04/2007 10:50

I agree tigerschick. I'm awful when AF arrives, get so worked up. Have to view it as another month. Who wants to have dd or ds born at end on Dec, beg of Jan anyway.

Yes thats him. Can't remember why they split up. He was quite pleasant I believe.

HannahMTW · 18/04/2007 10:53

Thanks you two! You're right, mustn't obsess! Think the hormones making it worse! HUGE glass of wine for me tonight, lots of unnecessary chocolate eating today and perhaps a bit of clothes shopping!

I hope all goes well for you and that you won't need to be on a TTC thread but a BFP thread!

Loads of luck, and hope all goes well with the doc Scopio

Lexie100 · 18/04/2007 11:24

Morning all. Well no sign of AF and for the past 4 AF's it's been exactly on time (10 DPO). Did a cheap PG test yesterday and got a BFN but not first morning. Not sure i was doing the test right but what can go wrong. If no sign tomorrow will do first response test first thing in the morning.

cheechymunchy · 18/04/2007 11:59

Hi everyone,

Hannah, so sorry to hear AF made her unwelcome appearance. Hope you've got some someshine where you are, to enjoy with that HUGE glass of wine. If it's any consolation, my mother, brother and myself all conceived in May - I think it's something to do with the Bank Holidays chilling everyone out, so enjoy May and see what happens.

No doubt I'll be joining you - still no sign of AF today but lots of twinges last night. I'm not hopeful.

x

Bbabymumma · 18/04/2007 12:00

Shame about BFN Lexie100 - I shall be watching to see if any news tomorrow morning. It's not over till the AF sings. I had lots of BFNs when I was pg if that helps.

Colleague at work who sits next to me just asked if I was pg again because I'm being such a moody cow. I wish people didn't say things like that - it really gets the hopes up!

Bbabymumma · 18/04/2007 12:01

Fingers crossed Cheechymunchy. When is AF due? Avoid knickerwatching.

scorpio1 · 18/04/2007 12:02

Hannah sorry bout af

My longest cycle so far has been 30 days before this one!

Lexie-good luck!

cheechymunchy · 18/04/2007 12:11

Hey Lexie, when I got pregnant last time I did 4 (count 'em) tests that were BFNs, and eventually reached CD47 before BFP turned up. it got to the point that I couldn't sleep on my stomach because BBs were too painful. Hang in there, chick.

My AF was due (on average) yesterday. Sorry BBabymumma - frantic knickerwatching today. I'm guilty!

scorpio1 · 18/04/2007 16:00

i have booked a doctors appointment for 9.50am tomorrow,

i am going to tell him when my last period was and that im getting abit concerned as to what is happening in there-especially as i had that odd speck of bleeding about 8dpo.i am afraid that a baby has implanted but failed to grow, therefore not producing hcg to be picked up by a test.should i ask for a blood test to check hormone levels do you think?i will be 3 weeks late for period by saturday, its long enought to wait isnt it?

Bbabymumma · 18/04/2007 16:14

I think you should try and demand them that it is. Say you've never had AF go over 30 days apart from when pg. Definitely mention the bleeding on 8dpo as well - make sure they are aware you are worried.

Lexie100 and Cheechymunchy fingers, toes and everything else crossed. We're due a BFP on this thread its been a while.

tigerschick · 18/04/2007 16:41

Glad you've decided to go, Scorpio. Make sure they know how worried you are - even if you have to exaggerate a bit. Hope it goes ok, let us know what they say.

Lexie100 · 18/04/2007 17:04

Scorpio - glad you have booked an appointment. Just tell the Dr everything. Will be thinking of you.

All due AF's any news? Mine still not shown up so but still waiting for AF.

Hope everyone has had a fab day. DD been good after a really bad night - waking almost every hour. I am going to try her in a bed tonight for the first time. It can't get much worse!!!!

MamaMaiasaura · 18/04/2007 21:16

Hi honeys

Sorry for the low profile. Started back at work on Monday and been very busy. Tested as planned Tuesday and no surprise to BFN. So started provera till Sat and hopefully AF will show on Monday (please not Sunday as going sailing overnight on Saturday unless ds playing in mini rugby tournement)

Sorry to hear about AF's. Scorpio, good luck at drs xx

Fingers cross for lexie & cheechy.

I am going to say hi to the May thread and wait for old AF to arrive. Also will try and follow consultants advice of laying of internet

Lexie100 · 19/04/2007 07:38

Well AF still a no show. Did test again this am and got a BFN. I think it could be something to do with having a short DPO and may have to wait longer for HGC to rise. Well my excuse. No real AF cramps but also trying NOT to get excited. DH very calm and rational.

tigerschick · 19/04/2007 11:31

Morning all.

Lexi - got my fingers crossed for you. Hope you get your bfp soon.

Scorpio - What did the doc say?

Awen - Hope the next cycle is more successful for you.

Everyone else - Hi and hope you are well and happy

plummymummy · 19/04/2007 11:36

Hi all. Sorry about those of you whose period have arrived and hopeful for those who are late. I've forgotten when I'm due on but I think it's in 6 days time (for a 28 day cycle). Bought some cheap tests via internet so might use them over the weekend so I know whether I can drink Scorpio, good luck at the docs mate.

cheechymunchy · 19/04/2007 12:47

Hi there, difficult to get to PC at home when DH is here - he works from home sometimes. Well, still no sign of AF. Am now 9DPO and 8DPO has been my longest in the last 10 months or so. Trying to ignore the cramps and read a book in the sun.

Hope all are well. Will write again tomorrow when I'm back at work...tsk, naughty me!

becklespeckle · 19/04/2007 14:06

Hello! How are we all today? Got a confession to make (the Clearblue Fairy will be cross) AF not here yet for me so was very very naughty and did a test this morning. I was going to wait until Sunday as that is when I think I am actually due but I had an appt to look at a dodgy mole today and I was worried in case they wanted to remove it (which they do) and I was pg - don't know how local anaesthetic is with pg. Anyway - nothing showed up immediately, control line and that was it - checked it a couple of mins later and there was the faintest of faint lines - same thickness as the control line but faint. Obviously I know I was quite early to test but am glad I did now! It was only a cheap ebay test and I did another one at lunch time with the same very faint line - am trying not to get my hopes up too high but the second line definitely appeared within 2-3 minutes and I don't usually get any lines other than the control line on these cheap ones. I am now going to sit tight until Saturday or Sunday when I will test again, it should be darker by then if I am pg (if not, judging by boobs, AF will be here). Also I have a touch of Thrush (sorry TMI ) which I had when first pg with both DSs (but not with m/cs). I told specialist today I thought I might be pg so he said he would wait a few weeks, check mole again but prob not remove it until 2nd trimester. He said it does not look cancerous but also does not look quite right. Please don't congratulate me yet though, I don't want to jinx this when I have waited for so long!

tigerschick · 19/04/2007 14:17

OK Beckle. I've got my fingers crossed for you but no congratulations.

becklespeckle · 19/04/2007 14:20
