I'll be using FRER as well, but not until the 5th (or later, if I can manage it).

Trying not to test before AF is due, because the chances are it will be negative and I'll still be as confused/hopeful/dejected as I was before doing it!
Fx for all of us!

SnoozyMcSnoozeFace · 23/10/2017 16:41

Yep I think I'll try wait until the 10th if I can and use a FRER too. I used a Clear Blue early detection a couple of months ago and thought we had a positive but I think it was just a dodgy test (or wishful thinking). At least FRER is pink so it's easier to read. Used a FRER this month on the day AF was due – it was very negative but of course I then wondered if I had tested too early.

Sammyclaire22 · 23/10/2017 17:32

Sounds like there are a few of us expecting AF middle of next week so fingers crossed for everyone!
@heavenforbid we have genetic counselling too- my dh has a condition but they couldn't identify the gene so any kids will need screening. It shouldnt affect his swimmers but he also has a varocele (sp?) Which can affect fertility so if nothing by christmas he's agreed to the gp. Have you spoken to your gp about ttc? Fingers crossed your condition won't affect you xx

@peterpanwendy july thread would be lovely! Mat leave in the summer too!

heavenforbid · 23/10/2017 18:56

Ahhh thanks @sammy - good luck to you too. It’s a bit scary isn’t it when you aren’t sure how things will go and I find it hard to explain to people who have spent the last 6 months going “oh you’ll be pregnant as soon as you’re married” why I might not be Hmm
Even though it will definitely affect us I think of myself as quite lucky to know about it in advance so we can be prepared. Basically 50% of my eggs will have the condition and a baby with it probably wouldn’t survive to term Sad ... or if they do they’d be very unwell and most likely pass away within a few days. So it’s a bit shit but other people have it much worse so I’m staying positive! My mum was a carrier and they still had me and my sister eventually.

Will you have to have extra tests when you’re pregnant or would they just test your kids once they’re born for the condition?

Sammyclaire22 · 23/10/2017 19:25

Oh that's so hard for you! Even with a bfp it sounds like it's a long journey. At least you and your sister are proof a happy ending is possible. Would they be able to screen any embryos and go via the Ivf route?

They will have to screen our future kids from a few months old regularly unless they can identify the gene and test specifically. I'm in two minds about it as a positive result can have huge impact on sports choices, career, mortgage etc even if they are never symptomatic.
But that's way down the line lol- if we don't get a bfp then it's all hypothetical anyway!

Hello new ladies !

So I'm starting the tww from tomorrow. I was hoping to get another deed in last night but we were both so tired it didn't happen. Secretly hoping to dtd again tonight just on the off chance. I know there's a lot of pressure for us both and this month I am going to try and chill in the tww as much as possible but time seems to take so long!

Bfp due 6th November xx

MamOfFrankie · 24/10/2017 08:44

Morning uppity and marigold.
owl, DP and I are the same - too tired for 7th day in a row last night, and when I did mention DTD he looked slightly distressed, so I left him alone haha. Usually he asks like all of his ships have come in at once during FW, but work has been putting pressure on his recently.

How is everyone else getting on?

MamOfFrankie · 24/10/2017 08:45

*acts, not asks!

PabloEscobarlo · 24/10/2017 10:51

We are the same! Dp is really trying after last month where performance pressure took root! We dtd every day from cd10, last night I was like no more!!!!! Dtd this am but no temp rise or positive opk yet

dan5914 · 24/10/2017 12:19

Hopping on the bus!

BFP due 1st November

Fingers crossed for all! ☺️

Owlpatrol · 24/10/2017 12:52

7th day in a row wow that's good going! We've only managed twice in the fw having said that I'm trying to be confident about it because I've been more "relaxed " this month regardless xx

Owlpatrol · 24/10/2017 12:53

Ps I'm thinking quality rather than quantity of the little swimmers haha!!

Gem173 · 24/10/2017 16:56

Hi everyone, witch arrived today :( so have had to hop on this bus.
This is my second cycle after the pill so hoping my cycle length will be near enough the same as my first cycle (31 days).

Age: 20
TTC: #1
Cycle: #2
AF/BFP due: 24th Nov

misshannah · 25/10/2017 09:36

Im on board.

Age: 30
TTC: #1
Cycle: 1
BFP: 21/11

Fia256 · 25/10/2017 11:02

I feel like I’m going crazy again during the tww!!

I’ve been super relaxed this month. I’ve only temped a couple of times as kept forgetting, wasn’t stressed about dtd at the “right” times. Only taken opks this month really and I’ve gotten to approx 6/7dpo without thinking much about it.

But here I am today, suddenly over analysing everything! I know I’m either 6 or 7dpo due to opks, the odd times I did temp, cm changes etc etc. So technically it’s still too early to have any symptoms!! But I feel SO dizzy and light headed today and I’m not someone who ever gets like that. So naturally, I’m already convinced this could be a sign Hmm

Anyone else around the same point and symptom spotting?! Grin

Fia256 · 25/10/2017 11:45

Oh and I’ve just noticed a teeny bit of spotting, so now I’m getting way ahead of myself!

UppityStitch · 25/10/2017 14:02

Hey everyone. The big bad Witch arrived yesterday with a vengeance so I'm firmly on this bus.

AF/BFP is due 24th Nov

Fingers crossed and baby dust to everyone

Mandala23 · 25/10/2017 14:40

Hello! Hopping on as af came today, but seeing it as a positive as at least I now know when in my cycle I am :)
Age: 23
TTC: #1
Cycle: 1 (kind of 2 but wasn’t sure of my cycle!)

Sammyclaire22 · 25/10/2017 18:56

@fia256 I'm the same as you- about 7 dpo sore boobs and spotting so got all excited and over-read symptoms. Not due af until next week but gave in and poas. Obv bfn as it's too early and probably just pms anyway!

Owlpatrol · 25/10/2017 19:04

I really want to test this Saturday ill be 7dpo I'm trying not to get my hopes up this month and I said 3 months ago when I tested early I wouldn't do it again but this month I just feel different

Fia256 · 25/10/2017 20:55

@Sammyclaire22 I’d of poas already if I’d got any left Grin I’ve ordered 2 packs of frer off amazon so I’m going to wait it out till then. Then I’ll just waste them like I do every month! I’ve also been painfully bloated today which was a symptom last time. Wishing the next few days away!

peterpanwendy · 25/10/2017 21:13

@Owlpatrol do you think you’d get a positive as early as 7dpo? I’m 7 on Sunday, it’s only been a few days and I’m going crazy wishing I could know!

Owlpatrol · 25/10/2017 21:31

Probably not but this time it's killing Me!
