Sainsbury's pregnancy tests 🤔

Hi,

Yesterday I bought two Sainsbury's tests... after a quick google it's emerged that apparently these aren't too reliable. Anyway.. I took one yesterday which had an extremely faint line, and the pics on here are today's tests (which are a tiny tiny bit darker than yesterday's). I think I'm due for my period quite soon and feeling really crampy today.

What are your experiences with Sainsbury's tests? Are they a load of crap?

Thanks username
Although! My AF was 36 hours long... (heavy, but super short!)... so who knows what's going off! 😂

@ems91 totally in the same boat, turned out it was a false reading and AF came late and very heavy. Next time I'll just use pink or digi tests! Stupid Sainsbury's.

Sorry to hear that mockingbird 😓 Sainsbury's tests have a lot to answer for!!!
Wishing you lots of luck for next cycle 🤞

So confused

Klkelly1987 · 08/02/2018 18:54

Hi, 1 week ago I had my FET, they advised don’t test til this Tuesday coming, however being as impatient as I am I tested yesterday with a Sainsbury’s own Brad, nothing came up so I went to bed and checked it this morning and there is a second very skinny blue line showing a cross, I’m so confused if this is positive or an evap line? Reading some of your stories it seems Sainsbury’s isn’t reliable at all? Any comments would be greatly appreciated x

NorthernLurker · 08/02/2018 19:48

The line needs to appear within the time window states on the test. You are also testing far too early. I can understand why but do yourself a favour and leave it till Monday st the earliest. Then you'll know. It's too early just now.

Klkelly1987 · 09/02/2018 07:14

Thank you nothernlurker, this 2ww is so hard, I will leave testing til next week thank you x

Vickie1984 · 28/05/2018 10:46

I tested with the sainsburys test and i agree its very unrelible and unclear, i got a faint blue thin line slighty off centre, read some comments online and went into panic mode as been trying for 15 years and 1 miscarriage. Went out and bought a clearblue digital and normal clearblue tested with morning pee and both came up positive 1-2 weeks and cannot believe it x so it might seem unrelible but it might be right so dont be afraid to try something else if your unsure x happy baby dust to all and good luck x x

Hi I did a Sainsbury’s pregnancy test and got a really faint thin line.. has anyone else have this? I have pcos so have irregular periods. I was getting positive ovulation tests 6 days ago so surely it would be too early to tell and my mind is just playing tricks on me? Has anyone else had this and it’s been a positive but maybe too early ?

Thanks x

xLauraa · 04/12/2018 16:31

@Young25 I was told not to use OPKs with PCOS as it's not reliable?

Young25 · 04/12/2018 16:49

Hi basically I had a scan done over a week ago and they said that they could see a dominant follicle and that I would be ovulating soon so was the first time I have done an ovulation test did one the next day and was possitive x

littlepotatoes · 05/12/2018 13:33

You need a different strength ovulation test if you have PCOS, otherwise they're too sensitive and show too many positives

xLauraa · 10/12/2018 12:55

@littlepotatoes that's what I thought! And because hormones can be imbalanced

LMc22 · 28/01/2019 22:16

Just took 2 pregnancy tests over 2 days and they seem positive, but I am unsure. Are these reliable? I've heard mixed reviews and don't have the money to be spending on the more expensive ones.

Lellybelly54 · 31/01/2019 20:54

I don't trust these Sainsbury's tests at all here is mine 3 days before missed period and looked it up online and loads of people with very similar lines saving it was an even line the next day did free and it showed positive straight away

Sorry stupid auto correct that Should say loads of people said it was an EVAP line and it was a FRER not free !

NeurotrashWarrior · 01/02/2019 08:32

FWIW, I doubted these but I do think they're accurate if the line is faintly blue. It's just that if they're v faint only a couple of days before expected period I found that it was (in me) a chemical pregnancy. In my true pregnancies (or ones that lasted much longer than a chemical) the line was faint extremely early but by my period was quite strong.

The problem with blue is it's harder to tell if it's an Evap or not but I found shining a light behind helped to see a real line.

This is the issue with early testing and using very sensitive tests.

I did it anyway

Wantstobemother · 03/03/2019 13:49

Periods had been due for more than one month. My periods are irregular. So i was not bothered. I thought if testing. I bought sainsbury’s pregnancy kit. Looking at the posts i am wondering if I did the wrong decision.
My reault is positive. Want to post the picture. But not aure how to post it.

Wantstobemother · 04/03/2019 07:24

Redid the test again. Again the same result. Unfortunately i was using sainsbury’s pregnancy test kit again. Today will be buying a different one.

Leahskye1 · 04/06/2019 17:57

DanMac · 08/06/2019 20:56

Does a thin blue line down mean I’m pregnant on the circle with the line across? Many thanks guys x

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 08/06/2019 21:33

Read the instructions and they will tell you

Hel12345 · 23/06/2019 08:33

I got two the same and they were from the cheapest pregnancy test. But not sure what it means if anyone can tell me

Bethyxxxx · 19/08/2019 10:31

I took one of these tests this morning (I'm not sure how to upload an image), however it has a very faint positive sign I'm due on my period in 2 days, my boobs have been extremely sensitive and they've seemed to grown in the past week, could this be a sign I'm expecting?
