Thought I'd start a July bus, I'll be due to test around the 3/4th (because I'm impatient mostly). Fingers crossed for us all!

So strong positive on opk today as well as static smiley on clear blue. We DTD sat, sun and last night. He couldn't cope with Monday too! Reckon I might try for tonight and push my luck for tomorrow too??

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 21/06/2017 12:44

Did my first opk ever at 9am today! It was super faint so I shall do another this afternoon, does that sound right? I'm 3 days away from ov according to ovia. How's everyone's Wednesday going?

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 21/06/2017 12:47

minimummy that image was hilarious. Are you going to act casual so he doesn't know it's the fw next week? I often try that with dp but I'm sure my sudden enthusiasm for sex gives me away.

jones good work on the dtd! We are all at it like rabbits this month. Good work ladies! Wine I look forward to finishing fw so I can symptom spot and obsess Grin

WithCheesePlease · 21/06/2017 13:15

minimummy 😂😂 that's brilliant. Yeah sometimes they don't know what hit them when we suddenly want it everyday -although it can backfire when DH wonders why it's suddenly not continuing into the rest of the month! 😂
There's a chance DH might be able to come home tomorrow from being away with work- which will be day 17, and still in with a chance. Is it unreasonable to assume that after working all day, then getting a flight, driving home from the airport, and getting home around midnight that he might be up for one more go? 😂😂

ladydolly · 21/06/2017 13:36

withcheese Once I had been away with work, had 4 hours sleep, flown home, driven from airport and got into bed at 1am. I had warned DP the day before that I wanted one more go at DTD, he said there was no way he was up for it at 1am when he had been in bed for 3 hours. I woke him up anyway and we referred to it and the night of grumpy sex. We conceived DD1 that night.

Definitely worth trying!!

Yay! I love that story ladydolly, and even better that was the night it worked. Roll on grumpy sex tomorrow night 😂😏

Mrsjones17 · 21/06/2017 14:07

My DH works alternate weeks nights and day shift. I have been known to wake him up at 5.30am to dtd before I have to leave for work at 6.30! If we missed it the night
before! 😂

pulpi · 21/06/2017 14:39

Jumping on the bus! Let's see if I remember how to do this...

Stats:
Pulpi, 35, ttc #2, ds 10.5 months and still bf, cycle who the heck knows as I've not had af since October 2015.

I know my chances are slim/none that we'll fall pregnant before af returns (it took 11 cycles to fall pregnant with ds), but maybe I get lucky while getting lucky!

CoReDee · 21/06/2017 15:56

Hi Everyone! First time posting

TTC#1
Age 28
Cycle 3
CD 18

AF/BFP Due 4 July (Fingers crossed)

MiniMummy576 · 21/06/2017 16:21

mamabooks He's very involved in the process so he wants to know when my FW is so he's just as enthusiastic!
withcheese He made the suggestion - I'm just happy to oblige! Usually it's me doing the pestering Wink
ladydolly That's a great story. DH is convinced that it was his 'patting me on the bottom like a ketchup bottle' whilst I was, erm, 'using gravity post deed' that helped us conceive DS 😂

Mrsjones17 · 21/06/2017 17:21

@minimummy I've just laughed out loud at the 'ketchup' story!!!

BlueeSpottyTiger · 21/06/2017 20:56

Oh my goodness.. i lol'd too 'patting me on the bottom like a ketchup bottle' 😂

My opk is getting rather positive but no quite yet hopefully tomorrow on cd12.

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 22/06/2017 09:24

Dp didn't come home till late so we didn't dtd yesterday Sad tomorrow I ovulate according to Ovia so we must dtd today and tomorrow or I may have a meltdown. Don't want to have another disappointing month Confused does anyone else panic if they miss a day during fw?

Melodypond17 · 22/06/2017 09:29

I think I'm due my smiley ovulation face on Saturday so dtd with a vengeance has now commenced... that's one way to lose weight in this heat!

Good luck to everyone else :)

LollyBeesLife · 22/06/2017 10:23

Morning Ladies, Jumped over from the June board but haven't really said much. I had an early show of AF last cycle so I'm not really sure where I stand with my cycle length or LP.

But either way, today is CD10 and the plan is to dtd everyday from now for the next week. we've only managed once on CD8 so far.

TTC #2, Cycle 3, CD 10

Mrsjones17 · 22/06/2017 10:57

@mammasbooksbabynumber2 I get a bit antsy if we miss a day but my DH can't go every day he reckons he needs to replenish the stocks haha!

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 22/06/2017 11:27

Hello lolly!

mrsjones I got quite irritable with him this morning and said he has messed up the fw ConfusedShock oops
Ttc has made me a little neurotic. I apologised later

MissWitch · 22/06/2017 12:21

I have a question that's possibly tmi- do you wipe/go to the loo straight after dtd or is that a bad idea? I'm thinking that logically the good stuff is still going to be deposited inside but is it better to try and keep everything in rather than wipe afterwards? I usually get DH to sort me out afterwards so I can go straight to sleep but don't like lying in a wet patch Grin

MiniMummy576 · 22/06/2017 12:57

misswitch I read somewhere, whilst we were ttc'ing with DS so I can't remember where, that tilting your pelvis (or hanging upside down if you feel so inclined) for about 5 minutes post deed helps to 'deposit' the sperm where it needs to go, so they're swimming with gravity rather than against it iyswim
It could just be an old wives' tale (shrugs) but it couldn't hurt to give it a go.

Mrsjones17 · 22/06/2017 13:17

@misswitch I was at the nurse about another chemical pregnancy on Monday and during the appointment she said to lay on back for 30 mins with hips on a slight incline...probably an old wives tale but every little helps! Even better cos DH fusses round to go and get me a drink haha! After just clean up as normal. I've found if I don't go to loo after and clean up properly it can lead to not very nice uti!! Not what you need!

MissWitch · 22/06/2017 13:39

Thanks MiniMummy576 and Mrsjones17 it's one of those questions I never felt comfortable asking my doctor. I remember lying with my legs in the air when ttc Dc1 & 2 but don't know if it made a difference or if I'd have conceived anyway. Just realised earlier that I'd got into the habit of cleaning up immediately afterwards and thought maybe this would be a hindrance.

Mamabooksbabynumber2 · 22/06/2017 14:09

misswitch great tip. I shall try this tonight. I usually grab a towel and lie there and hope some sort of egg meets sperm magic is happening

WithCheesePlease · 22/06/2017 19:44

misswitch I always wonder about that too, and I try to lie still as long as possible, and not use the toilet 😫 It's mad to think though when we were younger, the fear you'd have of accidently getting pregnant, and people would say once it's in there, there's no way of getting it out- no shower or toilet activity is going to change anything.

MrsJones sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. It's interesting that a nurse recommended that, I always thought it was an old wife's take too. In saying that, it makes sense to let them swim with gravity.

Mamasbook hope you get sorted tonight. It can be very frustrating if it doesn't go to plan on a particular day.

Mrsjones17 · 22/06/2017 20:00

@withcheeseplease yeah I thought it was an old wives tale too. She was an older lady so maybe that's why. I'm going to try it and see what happens i suppose it can't do any harm. I feel surprisingly ok about the chemical. I guess it's a sign things are moving in the right direction just need to old onto the little blighter now! Haha

WithCheesePlease · 22/06/2017 20:03

That's good mrsjones yes definitely a step in the right direction. And every tip is welcome, can't do any harm 😘
