BTW I really wouldn't advocate getting dp to chain smoke if you want a girl, too many nasty side effects: cancer, heart disease, smellyness etc ewww!

Didn't I read somewhere diet can effect it too? if around the time of ov you eat specific things you can affect the outcome by altering your ewcm, or something....

Sperm are officially boys or girls (x or y) while eggs have no sex until fertilised.
Boy sperm do swim faster. that is true. Girls sperm is slower, but llast longr as someone else said. Yes to have a girl you need to have sex a couple of days before ovulation. the male sperms will die leaving the girl ones.
Men also control the amount of either they have according to temperature.
Cant remember which is which though!
thats why with assisted conception, which I have had you are more likely to have boys...(I have three!) because they aim at ovulation time itself!
