Egg Donor.... should I or not? what if? grrr

Just wanted to get the view from people, I have after reading several news pleas in our local paper for egg donors, I called and a lovely lady asked me a few questions. I have now had a letter with all sorts of info in it which when my ds go to bed i will read. I know that if I pass all the tests i should go through with it, my fear is that in 18 years will a young adult approach me and tell me I didnt want them.... now I didnt even think this way till a close friend put the thought into my head.... grrr anyhoo your feelings please. Will let you know when i have read the info.

I have had factor V since I had a PE and DVT at 21, I inject Heprin every day into my tummy or into my leg when I was carring my DS. So I know that it can be passed on and to date I have had 8 DVT but I am still here and healthy. Saying that I can understand why the clinic said no what suprised me the no was not because it was on the list of no no's but that no one knew much about it so to be safe said no, grrr I will still think about being a donor if a close friend ever needs me to be.

As for being sued, there are no rules as to what can and cant be sued for, it says if you with hold anything u canbe but also it states in the legal Act that there is nothing to stop the donor being sued for anything. The clinic is not held accountable for anything outside the tests they do.

So I would say i would still do it if I was given the chance, but I think this will never happen.

We will see.
