CB fertility monitor pregnancy test sticks

I have the old style CB monitor, the kind that tests ovulation but not pregnancy. When I bought a pack of refill sticks, it had four pregnancy test sticks for the newer CB advanced monitor.

My question is can I use those like a standard pregnancy test? So just pee on them and look for two lines? Or are they totally useless to me (unless I fork out for a new style monitor)?

Maybe we should try it and share what we find! Due to test 19th I think, if AF doesn't arrive early. I'll do a normal test at the same time. Ooh, I love a scientific experiment

So i peed on one of the pg tests last night, there is a faint second line on it.... squinter for sure.... poss evap?

Ooh that is interesting. I can just about see the faint line I think. I guess it is way too early to test so this shows what a negative test looks like. One of us needs to be preggers now so that we can generate a positive test for comparison in a week!

I was so tempted I just did another! Ha! Think first was defo evap!

Fingers crossed for 1 week, I'm not holding much hope though. Feel zero symptoms and not even convinced I ovulated, only just got the monitor so start using that next month!

How are you EM, did you test this weekend?
I got what may have been an evap or possibly a squinter this morning. Need to wait a day or two to confirm (longest days ever!)
I did stick the CB test in the same sample too, there was a faint second line, similar to yours I think.

You can't pee on cb digis without the monitor, they all have two lines, negative or not.

Exciting! Fx for you!!! FYI my second one I did was defo negative and had one line not 2.

I did test using a frer this afternoon but was negative, to be fair considering I didn't seem to ovulate this month I'm not surprised. I also had I my just peed an hour before so wasn't the most sensible time to test.

I've mild cramps but no period as yet.... tomorrow is another poas day! Let me know how you get on!! x

OV stocks will pick up pregnancy hormones BUT if you were pregnant that second line would be as strong or stronger than the control line b

Hi, can I just ask where you got your sticks from? I have the old monitor but can't seem to find the old sticks anymore, just the advanced ones.

EMHW I have my fingers crossed for you tomorrow. I noticed your sticks are blue when mine are white with a blue cap. Not sure if that means they are different in some way.

weenumpty (great name!) I got mine from amazon. Some of the packs for the advanced monitor can be used for the old monitor too. Link here They were £20 when I got them though, they are nearly £30 now. So maybe shop around a bit.

sleepfreezone these are the pregnancy sticks, not the Ov sticks.

It has helped me to get upduffed twice now.

I'll wait a few days and POA monitor pregnancy stick to see if the second line has got darker. Just in the interests of science

Here comes the science bit!

So it seems the second line gets darker the further along you are, just like a standard pregnancy test. What I'm not sure about is whether there is no line, or a faint line, if it is negative.

Hello! I hope you don't mind me butting in. I've been reading his thread with interest as I have spare tests from my CB monitor and decided to POAS this morning (11 dpo) and got the faintest of faint lines. Even though I had concluded it was negative I couldn't help POA CB pregnancy stick with the weekly indicator this afternoon. Oh so tentatively excited after having a missed MC in December at almost 9 weeks. Eeek!!! Will test using my second test again in a week. xxx

I got a CBFM for Christmas, I have long cycles around 35 days and ovulate day 18-21
First month tested from day 6
Day 6-10 LOW
Day 11-18 HIGH
Day 19 PEAK
This month from day 9 (as requested)
Day 9-15 LOW
Day 15 till now (day 24??!) HIGH

Could it have somehow missed my peak? I really feel like I ovulated and had ovulation pain on day 17???
I thought this monitor was really accurate but either I'm reading my symptoms wrong, it missed ovulation or my hormones aren't right this month
Has it happened to anyone else ?
