I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

always thought 7 was a bit of a cop out myself...
and what do you do if you see 8???

Impatience · 20/03/2007 14:35

secret + sorrow? In which case add up any combination to equal 8?

seaside72 · 20/03/2007 14:43

I have 2 dogs who have no probs catching sweet furry rabbits but they cant seem to catch the bloomin magpie

Anyone remember this - or am I the only old barren saddo

becklespeckle · 20/03/2007 14:52

don't remember it but have heard of it! Murgatroyd the Magpie definitely rings a bell!
and it says this on the bottom of the page you linked to - "Eight's a wish, Nine's a kiss, Ten is a bird you must not miss."

sideways · 20/03/2007 15:27

A bird you must not miss???

Not likely to miss 10 magpies sitting in front of you, are you?

seaside72 · 20/03/2007 15:53

LOL sideways
well done beckle - I missed that at the bottom of the page - was too distracted by outrageous 70's hairdo's!!

feedmenow · 20/03/2007 16:05

Are they confusing magpies with sneezing....
Once a wish
Twice a kiss
Three a letter
Four something better

I mean, what could possible be better than a letter.......{hmm}

Sunshinedays · 20/03/2007 16:37

Hi fellow hut dwellers - I think my PMT induced hyper-gloominess is too much even for here. Sorry.
Think I'll skulk off for a day or two and try to come back with a little more sunshine.
I haven't felt this out of sorts for ages.
Take care, Sx

feedmenow · 20/03/2007 17:01

Oh sunshine, don't feel that you have to go. You can carry on with your misery here if you want to.
One of my split personalities is currently having an "I told you so moment"! CD28, no period but really obvious PMS PLUS only had sex twice in whole month, neither at a particularly good time. Yet just now I decide to do a test and got a BFP. I laughed at myself as soon as I did it cos it was just TOO stupid! So now I have the really smug part of me telling the stupid part of me how very stupid I am!

Sunshinedays · 20/03/2007 17:03

[peeks from behind an old bean bag - having pretended to leave]

You got a BFP???

beansprout · 20/03/2007 18:03

A BFP?! Woo-hoo!!! That's fab! Congratulations!

lissielou · 20/03/2007 18:07

oh, thats fab honey congrats {{hug, but very carefully}} sit down now and rest!

sunshine, dont go. thats what the huts for!

beansprout · 20/03/2007 18:08

Duchesse - are your kids ok? That really is just shite. I live in one of those areas where you expect that sort of thing to happen but children getting beaten up never fails to shock me. I really hope they are ok. Horrible.

Have been at work all day, and am still on 4.30 starts with ds so am exhausted. None of which compares with the news that my colleague's 18 year old son, who has been having treatment for cancer for nearly a year now, has been told that they can only prolong his life now, as they can't save it. Just how do people deal with that? I have no idea. It's unbearable.

beansprout · 20/03/2007 18:09

Sunshine. There is no such thing as "too gloomy" in the hut. And lord only knows we have tried. It's what it was created for. Please gloom away.

Soreheart · 20/03/2007 19:21

Hello All... a BFP for FMN....ooohhh and blimey. That's terrific.

Have just spent the last 3 days feeling pretty sure I was getting all the right symptoms for a BFP, myself. But have just developed what I call 'shakey arm' which is a typical sign of AF in my world. This probably sounds like madness but it is a characteristic of my cycle and has been for YEARS. I don't want to move now in case I can feel any twinges, if I just stay still it might still be good. However, it's 19.18 (according to the 'puter) and I must go home and feed myself.

By By Hell.

Pasta Bake, anyone?

Sunshinedays · 20/03/2007 20:03

Hmmm - thinking of changing my name to BringerofGloom as I have seen FMN talking about her BFN.... could it have been a typo???

Shaky Arm thing - how annoying for you Soreheart.... yet mildly amusing to an outsider (sorry ) . I just get very down, crampy and clumsy. Nice.

beansprout · 20/03/2007 20:07

I get the same symptoms as Sunshine along with being obsessed as to whether I am pregnant or not. Not sure if anyone can relate to that?

duchesse · 20/03/2007 20:41

I think that FMN may well have left a typo, given the content of the rest of her message. Alas. Would have been nice to have another graduate, but hey.

OP posts:
beansprout · 20/03/2007 21:00

I will now and go and write out one hundred times, "I must read posts more carefully".

Sorry, FMN.

feedmenow · 20/03/2007 21:26

Shit, I'm so sorry...I didn't get a BFP, it was a BFN! Now I've unnecessarily created an atmosphere of happiness which was not only unintended but also unjustified.
The supidest thing is, when I was typing that post earlier I stopped and though "p for positive and n for negative so I need an n" and then bloody typed a p!!!
And that means my post didn't make sense either cos there would have been no reason for my split-self to have been smug, etc, etc.......

Impatience · 20/03/2007 22:08

Feedmenow, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Wow!

Impatience · 20/03/2007 22:09

Oh, bollocks, FMN: I only got as far as your 'announcement' and just had to post! Nothing like rubbing salt in the wound . Sorry. How annoying.

Impatience · 20/03/2007 22:12

FMN I still thought the post made sense, given the multitude of selves that we all have!

Sunshine, don't go. Where would you go to? There's nowhere better than here for a right old gloom! When I come back in the morning I expect to find you passed out in that beanbag.

duchesse · 20/03/2007 23:25

Impatience- are you saying we is all barking? (woof)

OP posts:
beansprout · 21/03/2007 07:55

Is you saying we is not?

Am talking to dh again, which is nice, and am now entering the week where madness lies - am on CD22 today so am now on high symptom alert. It would be tedious if it wasn't so depressing. Ho hum.

Am already at work in a bid to take my mind off things. Great!
