I'm imaging this one as more of an Eeyore stick hut type thing. Maybe Eeyore is actually still in residence.

Thanks Duchesse, have just read that post! What an evil thing to say! Well we'll just let her get on with it the poisonous little being.

Gillian, mi padre es espanol, pero mi madre es inglesa. My dad used to speak spanish to me when I was little, but when my brothers were learning to talk they were very behind (because they were twins) and the speech therapist told my dad to speak only English, and then I forgot all the Spanish I had learned due to lack of use. I do start picking it up when I go back, but it's so short a period and so infrequent it makes it difficult!

I do like the new hut.. but could we have a jacuzzi?

lissielou · 20/02/2007 07:23

dont see why not, ive bought in these animal print sofas!

lulu1414 · 20/02/2007 09:40

Morning all! Lissie- why aren't you eligible for IVF??? I'm totally confused about the system as to who is eligible and who isn't. I'm going to the GP today to try to demand blood tests and some sort of action. I feel like I'm always at the bloody drs or the hospital at the moment!

Wassup Ready?

Impatience - sorry, didn't mean to sound hopelessly hetero-centred when I made my reference to "shagging" btw.

Have brought in one of those machines you sometimes find in pubs that gives out endless chocolate minstrels. Where shall I put it?

Ready · 20/02/2007 10:50
beansprout · 20/02/2007 10:52

Ready? You ok? You've dropped a minstrel down your top.

Ready · 20/02/2007 10:53

I am thoroughly fecked off. I shouldn't really be in here as I have no where near the heartache that some of you lovely ladies have endured, but I just want to get a fix of gloom. I think I am having an annovulatory cycle, still no temp shift and I'm on CD18 (from my previous charts I have never ovulated later than 16) and I'm just really cheesed off.

beansprout · 20/02/2007 10:58

Founding rules of the hut state that there is no pecking order of misery in here, you just have to be fecked off. That's it.

I'm in the middle of the 2 week waste of my time and have that same heavy feeling which always indicates that a period is coming to a house near me, very soon.

I actually fancy a bit of troll bashing to take out my frustration. Come on!!!!!

Impatience · 20/02/2007 11:06

Oooh, minstrels. Ready, have some more. If you're grumpy you belong here!

(Beansprout, shagging comment is fine. Saying 'putting sperm into oneself' is too longwinded to cover all angles ) Strangetown: Yes, we really are very lucky to have such good friends. It is an amazing thing for them to be doing for us.

Ready · 20/02/2007 11:18

What was that all about with the troll?? I always lurk in the hut if I don't always feel fecked off enough to post (often a good giggle, if the truth be told)... just saw message deleted and the following comments. Haven't people got anything better to do than to upset others?

Oh... and how's this just to top up my mood... we have baby birds nesting in our roof! Swines... Talk about rubbing my nose in it (They are actually really cute, sssshhhh)

feedmenow · 20/02/2007 11:21

Morning ladies. Glad to see everyone on fine form today
Catbaby, great that your cat is good for stroking but I doubt very much you want us kicking it!! Maybe we could take up troll-kicking to vent frustration...?
Anyway, AF arrived this morning...completely not expected cos absolutely no symptoms at all. But I can now give myself the same advice I gave Catbaby a few days ago....at least I know where I am in my cycle and can be more focused with my efforts.
Also, found out earlier that my relative def. has m/c'd. I think I'll send them a card later...... Maybe I should point her in the direction of MN and The Hut!

beansprout · 20/02/2007 11:25

Baby birds are great - in the tree across the road!!!! We are infested too. I found a mouse in our bedroom at 1am on Friday morning. The little bastard then ran under our bed, which was the worst place for it to be as I knew it was waiting to pounce and chew off my face.

I will win this battle to the death though. Had the Council round on a seek and destroy mission this morning. Sorry, I might be a vegetarian, but there will be no mice on my watch.

Impatience · 20/02/2007 17:32

Saw the GP this afternoon. I asked for the prelim infertility blood tests and anything else she would recommend. She asked whether my periods were regular, and when I said yes she said that in that case I was definately ovulating. AAaarrgh!!! I said very politely that in my understanding that wasn't necessarily the case and could she please refer me for the tests to be sure. To her credit she did. Although she said I could get everything done on day 21. I said, in my nicest, not-at-all-irritated-that-I-knew-more-than-her tones that, please humour me here, I thought I needed to be tested on day 1 too to provide a comparison. Please let me have that too.

To her credit she was very nice and took me seriously, and I'm having the blood tests I wanted and she said she'd recommend me on for further investigations depending on the results.

Am now feeling really flat. Not depressed, but more as though despite having been quite worked up about seeing the gp, and avoiding it for months, its not going to make a blind bit of difference and it was all a terrific anticlimax. Oh well, after dumping that on you I've got to dash out and do some work this evening. How rubbish!

lissielou · 20/02/2007 18:41

hi all. are we feeling shitty?

duchesse · 20/02/2007 18:44

Are bears Catholic?

(and its ruder corollary involving the holy pontiff and al fresco defecation)

lissielou · 20/02/2007 19:00

lol. good im in the right place then fancy a straw for this

PuppyDogsTails · 20/02/2007 19:02

I'd be feeling shitty without period pains, with them I feel like reeeealy shitty.

Catbabymummy · 20/02/2007 19:56

Shitty over here too, mad busy day at worked not help by numpty tech f*ing up the paperwork and making me look crap. Grrr!!!
I've got some chocolate puddding to share around!
And no, my kitty won't like being kicked. He likes being cuddled though.

StrangeTown · 20/02/2007 20:20

Impatience - well done for standing up for what you wanted with the GP. Such a shame that we have to do this, but thank god for the Internet so we can arm ourselves with this knowledge.

Crap day all round. No idea when I will be ovulating post m/c, but am pretty sure if will be during the 10 days my DH is golfing in Spain. Bugger.

Catbabymummy · 20/02/2007 20:36

Just had email from good friends, she's give birth to a beautiful baby boy. Haven't actually told them I miscarried yet, didn't want to upset my friend when she was heavily pregnant.
Will give them a few days and I guess they'll tell them.

feedmenow · 20/02/2007 20:41

Strangetown, of COURSE it will be while he's in Spain!! Would you really expect any different?
I reckon that sex and reproduction HAS to be difficult. I reckon it is one of the laws of physics, like gravity for example. The reproduction law is thus: -"before thou wanteth children, thine dp shall only be available for nooky during your most fertile time AND neither of ye shall haveth a condom. However, when the time arriveth that thou wanteth to becometh a mother, thine dp shall more often than not(eth!) be away/drunk/pissed off/working late during thines most fertile periods and shall therefore be unavailable to impregnate thee"!!!

StrangeTown · 20/02/2007 21:03

You are so right Feedmenow.

plummymummy · 20/02/2007 21:16

Hi all I'm feeling a bit angry with myself cos my ttc efforts this month have been a bit half-hearted. Unsurprisingly my libido always takes a dive when I'm feeling low. about that amrak (didn't see post)- makes me because some people on this thread have been through too much already. How's everyone?

feedmenow · 20/02/2007 21:20

Have got my period, and my dp is being a pain in the arse! My ds is sick and my dd is "trying" to be ill too. My bank balance looks pathetic, my thighs are large and wobbly...which matches my backside perfectly!
Other than that I am great!! How about everyone else??
