I need to poas today as I wasn't going to do ovulation stuff this cycle but I'm in my fw now and getting twitchy! So temp and opk today!

Period was due yday but neg pg test and I can feel it starting. getting frustrated as I ovulate when DH is away each month

Haha MotherofUnicorns I did that this month as its my first cycle and I wanted to compare them don't think I'll bother next month as I'll know what to look for

I POAS this morning and it got lighter so def ovulated yesterday which is brilliant cos we dtg loads so we're def covered!!
I think my fella would freak out if I kept all my pee sticks!

My DH is surprisingly on board with all the TTC stuff, I've been showing him the OPKs and explaining what they mean. He finds it interesting or he could just be humouring me... he's used to me being very detailed with things!

my OH found the (used positive) opks and thought they were pregnancy tests!

Haha yeah I guess they could easily be mistaken for pregnancy tests!

purplebella - make sure you keep having see though. The positive OPK doesn't mean you've ovulated it just mean the hormone that triggers ovulation is at its peak. Following a positive OPK it can still be anywhere between 12-48 hours until you actually ovulate.

I have a dilemma.

I promised myself I wouldn't test until my period is due which is not until 5th Nov. However, according to Ovia I ovulated quite early and it is telling me to test tomorrow.

I would try to wait. But. Earlier this year I lost the man I looked up to as my father. Tomorrow is his birthday. A BFN won't make tomorrow any worse, it can't get any worse. But a BFP could be so meaningful. Do I test tomorrow or not? I'm sitting here crying just thinking about tomorrow.

Test vox if you think you need to. But be prepared either outcome. If you get a BFN at least you know and you can then test again when AF is due. Sending hugs. X

But nothing happening since April
Just waiting and hoping - feel rotten, everything is creaking so I have everything crossed. No positive ovulation test this month as yet but who knows!

DH works away a lot so missed last ovulation and will miss Nov & Dec. Think we missed the egg this time as we only managed to dtd once and only the day after getting positive OPK . Testing about 7th of Nov.

Shift work is a nightmare for DTD at the right time! We've done it every day ( twice on sat) during my fertile 4 days according to FF... I've always had a near spot on 28 day cycle the times when I've been on no birth control.

Off to Center Parcs this weekend.. so that should make the wait go slightly quicker!

You ladies that test early... which tests do you use? Think I've used first response in previous pregnancies.. I know I shouldn't really test early as it generally leads to me feeling miserable! I've gone really spotty today.. look like a teenager.. this makes me think AF is coming!

My cycle has seemingly gone to 5 weeks now so I'm very confused about my fertile window! I have 2 apps and both are suggesting fertile windows a week apart. I have a stash of opks so will start testing at the start of the first window according to the one app and see how I go!

I'm having a really weird period. It was behaving normally till instead of continuing to get lighter it's turned heavy again and this morning the biggest (TMI alert!) globule of shiny red stuff came out feel really tired and drained. Just want it to finish! Anyone have similar experiences?

awww lulu -think of a massive heavy period as gaining a fresh and fertile spongy new uterine lining as a mint new pad for your impending foetus. I sometimes get rank looking globules as well, as well as it tapering off only to come back like the red sea x

I was like that last cycle. It was my first after coil removal though so I put it down to that.
I agree with flapper. Now you have a lovely new lining for your egg to implant.

Mint new pad! You do come up with some funnies flapper! I'm in the 2ww now. Deffinitely ovulated cos my,ahem, CM has gone all thick!

Lulu my period is also acting out, normally by day 3 its light, but this morning I also encountered a blob of god knows what. Feel good thinking that it will leave a nice pad for a baby though lol.

This AF is dragging on and I just want to get this show on the road.. Patience is not my strongest friend

Does anyone drink during their 2ww? I've got a wedding to go to on Saturday and would like a few glasses of wine, I'll be 5dpo. I think I read somewhere that alcohol doesn't effect anything until after 5 weeks pregnant?

Yeah you'l be fine, I read that too. Cos the baby wouldn't be 'attached' and not sharing your blood! You've deffinitely got an ok from me lol

Thanks for replying purple I wouldn't care, we normally have nothing going on but it would just happen to coincide with this wedding and then a party the following Saturday! Sods law.

Have fun MrsG! You just end up putting your life on hold while ttc don't you!? As soon as I get a bfp(if only!) I'll have to give up by beloved morning coffee😭
