"Increased Mucus"......yeh but what does that mean?!!!!

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone could help....

I've read in all the books "early sign of pregnancy = increased mucus", but what type?

Sorry if next bit TMI! You have the thick gloopy, clear, then stretchy. Which type are you looking for?! Technically im next due on Thurs 1st and i have got "increased mucus" but its slightly stretchy. Technically i shouldnt be ovulating and i did a an ov test just incase which was neg....

Any ideas?!

Babylove, try not to get too hung up on this sweetie. At the end of the day the only thing that's going to give you an answer is a preg test. You can have more mucus for many reasons. Good luck with it

Increased mucus is something you get before AF too.

I have thick creamy mucus at the mo but am putting it down to AF being on her way. xx

Hi ammy, yeh usually before AF i get thick mucus too but this is in - between and stretchy, a bit like ov mucus. I've just googled it and it appears to be a good sign! Not getting hopes up on that tho!

No clear ones. Acid reflux, tightening, slight stabbing, wind (sorry!). Basically just "a feeling" iykwim.......?

Um, since July 2006 but had a couple of mishaps in there so probably 4 - 5 months really.

ooohh hello, can i join this thread. Atm, I am fervently knicker watching as I approach af date (due 6th Feb). Have lots of mucus coupled with tingly, heavy breasts. Don't normally get pre-menstrual symptoms this early. Hoping it could be a good sign. Also feel strange sensations down below! How early are you thinking of testing, or are you going to wait til day af due?

How many dpo's are you? 6th feb, you're nearly a week off testing then? Hmn, cld be a very good sign!!!!

im not very good @ this mucus testing etc, lol.

I did a test 2nite, v stupidly and BFN, now cant do 1 till Thurs (date when af due). Have a very slight pain in right ovary so hoping im not ovulating at this very weird time.....think im imagining things!

hi babylove. Ah, the lure of pg tests! So irresistable aren't they. What's dpo? Does it mean days post ovulation? I think I ovulated around 18th Jan. Don't know if I can stand the suspense - may have to test on friday or weekend. Let me know how yours goes.

Yeh bloody tests, cant believe i did that! Now i have the same feeling 2nite but i musnt! Its mine and dp's anniversary so gonna go out for tea

Yeh dpo is days past ovulation, yeh i'd test Sat if i were you, how long are your cycles?

Haha Plummy, that did make me laugh! Anniversary v nice thank you, altho dp quite p'd off we didnt do "anything" iykwim . Didnt wanna take the chance incase im pg.......

I tested this morn but BFN. Was disappointed but not too down heartened as im not convinced its right. Guess until AF comes i have to stay hopeful!

Sorry about bfn but could still be a bfp later. I am so useless at waiting. My mind is consumed with the desire to test but I really must wait til sunday. I feel pregnant (each time I've conceived I've felt pg before af due) but it could be psychological.

Me on the other hand, ttc no1 and getting nowhere it feels like! AF now officially 1 day late BUT this doesnt mean a lot. Since ttc, cycles been everywhere! So scared by BFN yest that means i didnt ov again hope not, i hated that! Not had my "usual" pre-af symptoms yet tho either......guess its a wait and see [punches pillow to stop herself from screaming in frustration!]
