Sk1pper light headiness is definitely a symptom, i know at least 3/4 people who fainted and were taken to a and e first thing the nurses made each of them do was a pregnancy tests and that's how they found out they were pregnant.

Lulu298 · 30/08/2016 18:38

Ooh hope that's a promising sign skipper!

Congrats mcbaby! So exciting! How long has it taken you with your PCOS?

Wibblewobble100 · 30/08/2016 19:24

Congrats McCabe brilliant news. Really hope it sticks for you !

sk1pper · 30/08/2016 19:33

Hmm didn't know that, I'm still putting it down to heat though as the office was stifling. Otherwise I feel normal :(

Writerwannabe83 · 30/08/2016 21:46

Possibly 8-9 dpo and I have felt achey and crampy today. It felt more like period cramps than anything though so I'm not attributing much to it. I've got no IC in the house but am scared I'm going to be tempted to test. I think for the first time ever I'm going to wait to see if my period is actually late before testing.

NappingRabbit · 30/08/2016 21:52

I'm 6dpo and so bloody impatient. I'm away tomorrow until Sunday but have packed a couple of tests. And tampons. Covering all bases!

I'm finding it hard this time round not to get carried away. When we tried for DC1 I expected it to take ages and got lucky first cycle. This time I half thought it might happen quickly again so am finding it hard not to build myself up too much, as in all likelihood it will take much longer this time.

Skee · 30/08/2016 22:21

So I think I'm 7-8 dpo and have no idea what's happening with my body, if anything at all... I've had some odd cramping over the last few days, but I have no idea whether that's normal, or if it's because I'm over analysing and just never noticed before? Which, I think is likely!

I've been a bit crabbit over the last couple of days, so I think this time round it's definitely PMS Hmm

*Welcome to all the newbies!

No symptoms here what so ever. I'm on CD 32 and AF is due on Thursday (according to ovia). Took a cheap B&M test today - BFN.

Lulu298 · 31/08/2016 07:23

Morning ladies, hope everyone's doing well.

I was looking at lube just now. Is Preseed worth it? It seems expensive Confused

Writerwannabe83 · 31/08/2016 08:25

Three days until Ovia says I can test and this morning I've woken up with an uncomfortable ache/pain in the left side of my abdomen and it's just constantly there. I also started crying randomly at work yesterday when talking to my Manager.

Not that I'm symptom spotting of course....

Vanillaradio · 31/08/2016 09:08

Well af is here 4 days early so that's it for this cycle. Looks like I am still on the bus though as next af now due 28th September. Annoyingly next fw has now shifted forward so it no longer coincides with the child free few days we are having for my birthday which is a pain.
Feeling very grumpy and having to face the truth that I am no longer as fertile as I used to be. I know 3 months isnt long to have been trying but really wanted bfp before I turned 40 which isn't going to happen now.
I am also now worrying that if I do get pregnant in the next few months I will be having a summer baby, my dm used to be a primary school teacher and always advises me against that.
Oh well onwards and upwards, cycle 4 Cd1.

Walikingdeadfan · 31/08/2016 11:19

Sorry to hear that vanillaradio. Hopefully it will work out this month. I was slightly worried about summer baby too, but I think I dont want to delay trying for a few months.
I have had a bit more indigestion type pains today- but like writer im totally not symptom spotting!

lalaland1985 · 31/08/2016 11:23

Lulu - im looking at that too. Has anyone used it before?

I also ordered FRER tests which should arrive today. I'll test tomorrow if AF has not arrived. If I'm not pregnant (which I don't think I am!) I want my AF to be on time. If it's late then I won't be on my fertile week while we are on holiday. My DH is working away tues - fri at the moment so I have high hopes for next month!

Alibaba2 · 31/08/2016 12:56

Hi Vanilla,

I'm 40 too and know how you feel but stay positive, it's early days.

And I have a summer DD2 (now 5) who is amazing and at the top end of the class so don't worry about that. DD1 is September and they are both equally bright.

It's quite an individual thing and those who are behind because of age catch up.

Great for birthday parties too!

sk1pper · 31/08/2016 13:56

Oh riiiight I was trying to work out what you guys meant by summer babies. For some reason I thought maybe you meant because of the heat.

Well here's my thoughts on it...I was born end of August and I got good GCSEs, good A levels and nailed my degree. You always get the odd teacher/adult saying "well you won't make this or that because youre x number of months behind the other kids" but I had really supportive parents who said I could do anything and they were right. So don't let that worry you :)

Eva30 · 31/08/2016 14:36

lalaland and lulu I bought pre-seed as didn't have much EWCM. But be warned, it comes with syringes Shock which you put the lube in and then put it 'up there' and wait 15mins for it to settle before DTD. No one warned me of this so I got a bit of a shock when I opened the box haha!!
I am ov today, +OPK and peak fertility monitor, cd15. I was trying EPO, omega 3 and decaf green to to improve EWCM and I had some today! First time I've ever noticed it.
Feeling very hopeful for this cycle now, but really need to calm myself down or I'll be devastated if I get another bfn!

Streaky17 · 31/08/2016 15:03

Eva30 - once its in how long does it last? I.e. do you need to start 15mins after putting it in?

Vanillaradio · 31/08/2016 15:37

Thanks all for the reassurance, great to hear about your Dd2 Alibaba. *
Sk1pper* my dm is I guess, one of the adults you mention. I was deliberately planned as a September baby and she has always mentioned how summer babies struggle at primary school.
But I don't want to wait and I don't think I can afford to wait. So it's good to hear positive stories.

Eva30 · 31/08/2016 15:59

streaky I've always DTD 15mins after putting it in so I have no idea how long it could last, sorry! will check the leaflet when I get home

voxnihili · 31/08/2016 16:16

I'm currently CD 29 (cycles can vary between 29 and 32 days). BFN this morning. I pinned all my hopes on this month as my fertile week fell in the middle of our holiday. Both DP and I have fairly stressful jobs and he works shifts which is not great for TTC. I thought it had worked too as halfway through the TWW I had some weird cramping which I let myself believe was implantation cramping. At the moment I've got sore boobs, sensitive nipples, felt quite breathless yesterday and crying at everything. Also some period type cramps but milder and not so prolonged. I don't know if it is different to how I usually feel before my period.

I've got that horrible feeling that feels like this is hopeless - if it doesn't happen on holiday when we're relaxed what chance do we have the rest of the time? Next month is a write off due to DP's shifts so our next chance now is October.

lousylear · 31/08/2016 16:18

Time for a bfp yet. Not over til AF appears. I'm cd37, no bfp, no AF. Not giving up yet! Testing again Friday. FX

sk1pper · 31/08/2016 16:26

Vox - you sound how I feel :( I don't have any symptoms today and we really times this month perfectly when it came to DTD. I'm used to the disappointment but this month in particular, I don't feel like I could have done anything better - so if not this month when.

Unusually for me, I actually need to do poas test tonight as tomorrow I will have a drink for my managers leaving do. Is 6dpo too early for one of those cheap pg tests?

Eva30 · 31/08/2016 17:34

Keep your chins up vox, lousy and skipper - not out til AF shows.
skipper the earliest I have ever seen anyone get a result on these forums is 8dpo - I'm not sure anything will show at 6.

NappingRabbit · 31/08/2016 17:41

Skipper I think you'd be v unlikely to get a positive result until at least 8 or 9dpo. I am 7dpo today and would have a drink if I wanted one as I really don't think it would do any harm this early.

The waiting is agonising.

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to test the next couple of days.

voxnihili · 31/08/2016 17:42

Another weird symptom I've had this week is a fluey feeling which I've googled and found numerous people saying they felt like that. I'm really achy. When we flew home from holiday I found it really hard to get comfy in my seat, which is unusual for me. I've been going to the gym this week and just doing a light workout but I ache like crazy.

I'm trying to keep my mind off of it, but am planning my lessons on human reproduction, which is not helping! The irony of teaching teenagers that they WILL get pregnant if they have sex without a condom and then going home and crying that I've not been using contraception for over a year, and have still not got pregnant.
