Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Congratulations Marmite! About time there was a bfp on here!

I am on cd 45 today. This is my longest cycle for aaages. I haven't actually done a test, because I feel completely normal. Pretty sure it's just an anovulatory cycle hence the length. Can't bear to see the single white line on a test though.

Jem I hope you managed to persuade your DH!

LondonJem · 05/08/2016 22:30

No luck so far... I made chicken burritos for dinner and he is on the sofa with the cat as below. We are both stuffed.

marmitecheesetoast · 05/08/2016 23:01

Ooh chicken burritos, yum! And what a lovely black cat! Oh well don't beat yourselves up about it if you don't, sounds like you've been doing lots of dtd so should have plenty swimmers already stashed. Maybe a sleepy middle of the night canoodle Wink

LovelyFishy · 05/08/2016 23:11

Beautiful kittycat Jem, they look very comfy there! My bus ticket is for the 11th August please. If you dtd yesterday should be fine for a chill out evening if you all need it!

Marmite those lines all looked fine to me, so excited for you! Can't believe it was bird poop day you conceived! Grin

I've had my normal calm 1st week of the tww and now entering the 2nd crazy week. Noticed cm today and yesterday, and nipples felt really weird for about an hour this afternoon! Hmm

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 10:09

Hahah I know lovely! You guys know what to do! Grin I did another IC at 5am when I was up for a wee and got a much stronger line. I hear ya on the crazy second week of 2ww. I think I buried my head so much in the sand though saying over and over again there was zero chance that I'm finding it so hard to process now! Still feel very bewildered. Nipple watch and cm sound potentially interesting though... You still a few days away from testing?

I'm currently in bed with a cup of tea and one of the cats. Feel knackered. Not really sure what to do with myself now.

Mooseville · 06/08/2016 11:35

Great news re steonger line marmite I agree with us trying to convince ourselves through TWW that we're not, must be very unsettling to realise you are!!! Ha ha

AF in the house here. It was expected since I was away most of fw. Just looked and I've arranged to escort my dad on holiday for a few days (he has Parkinson's and is worried to go away on his own with step mum in case he has a fall and gets stuck!) right bang in fw! Poor preparation on my part! Aaargh!!!
No time to mull I've it though as we have sold my flat and have second viewings of three properties today to decide which one to put an offer in on!! Exciting times!

LovelyFishy · 06/08/2016 17:21

Marmite AF's due on Thursday. I may test Wednesday or try and hold out... I'm still not convinced on the nipple thing. It was a hot day and maybe my bra was just rubbing a bit? Confused

Sorry about AF Moose. And it's a shame about next fw but at least your doing something really nice, I'm sure it's something they'll appreciate loads! Very exciting news on the up-coming new property! You must let us know how it went!

LondonJem · 06/08/2016 17:29

Sorry about AF moosey hope you're okay xx

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 18:00

Sorry for AF moose Cake and that must be frustrating about next FW but such a lovely thing to be doing and definitely karmic brownie points! Maybe you'll be able to catch the start or end of FW too. Super exciting times for you too, did you put an offer in today? Where are you buying?

Well it's true you can never trust the boobs lovely, mine still feel totally normal! ....yup, just prodded, still feel fine! Fx for you! My main symptom of the last two days just seems to be diarrhoea Shock

bluebird3 · 06/08/2016 19:21

Sorry about af moose. I ally think it's a cruel joke of nature to have to deal with AF pain/mess on top of the disappointment of not conceiving.

jem I love love love Mexican food but always end up bloated on the settee too. Actually after tea my DH is often out of action so we often dtd before tea bc we can't be trusted to eat a sensible amount! Also...after trying for 18 cycles, I genuinely cannot imagine what getting a bfp would be like. Doesn't feel that it will ever happen!

marmite very happy for you. Enjoy this special time.

tigger welcome. I started Ttc in April 2015 too. My gp also said wait 18 months to test but I stretched the truth...ok boldfaced lied and had bloods done in May/June. Glad I did bc I don't ovulate! DH had a SA yesterday. He was able to do it (he wasn't worried but I kinda was...). We'll get results in 3 weeks.

Anyone else watching the Olympics tonight? I'm watching the road cycling and it's getting exciting :)

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 19:47

Thanks bluebird. I have also just been watching the Olympic cycling, feel so bad for that guy who lost gold at the last moment!

I'm struggling with DH away. Feeling irrationally upset. Such crap timing finding out then being alone. Sorry, I don't mean to moan, obviously it's amazing and I'm incredibly lucky, but feeling quite lonely and overwhelmed at the moment! Might have some ice cream to perk myself up

Mooseville · 06/08/2016 20:52

Hope you're ok marmite You and baby defo deserve ice cream that's for sure!!!!

House viewings went well. We're torn between two - Both in the same village. One a choc box cottage, only needs decorating to our style, 2 bed. Or a HUGE 3 bed ex local authority, massive garden but needs a lot of updating and is not as picturesque!! Tough decision to make!!! Aaargh! But it has taken my mind off AF that's for sure...

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 21:02

Thanks Moose. I just want him home now so I have someone to process this with. That sounds v exciting! Choc box cottage sounds lovely, but maybe bigger 3 bed place with big garden more 'future-proof'? (think I may have inadvertently just quoted Kirstie Allsopp! A tough choice. But a great, and exciting, distraction!

marmitecheesetoast · 06/08/2016 21:29

Got myself some ice cream and strawberries now

purpleladybird · 07/08/2016 09:53

Sorry Moose. Exciting about the house though. Ex council properties can have big rooms and great storage.

How many hours until your OH is home marmite ?!

Does anyone know why the Clear Blue ovulation sticks say to wee directly on them for less time than if you're dipping? I usually dip but had to wee direct today and weed for far longer than recommended (but still less than I would dip for). Got a 'high' and worried it might be false. Not that it matters really since I was planning to DTD this week before OH goes on a stag do next weekend/week. Just curious really as it will help my TWW sanity.

Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend. Our house is such a mess we have come to my parents to get away from it Blush

marmitecheesetoast · 07/08/2016 11:14

No idea about the sticks and time for in wee/dipping sorry purple. A 'high' sounds like great timing though if you've got all this week to dtd before OH away? Hubby has just got home now, very pleased to see him and feeling much calmer and more sane now! Thanks for chumming me over the weekend guys!

Pyjamas81 · 07/08/2016 11:23

This seems like a friendly bunch, may I join? Nice to see a couple of familiar faces here - hello marmite and londonjem! A bit about me:

Age - 35
TTC - #1
Cycle 1 (third cycle after coming off Nexplanon then couple of months of pill, but first cycle properly trying)
CD 33 Confused

Am currently in testing limbo/hell :-( 2 BFNs with FRERs so far, yet no sign of AF and am about 13dpo (I think - any chart reading experts in the house? I'm crap!). Temp was up this morning so haven't got a scooby what's going on!

Glad to hear DH is back marmite!

LondonJem · 07/08/2016 12:07

Purple I use Internet cheapies , afraid I can't help you there. Keep at the DTD 👍🏼

Glad DH is back marmite! Hope you are both enjoying the excitement Smile

Hi pyjamas Smile the first few cycles were mental for me, I convinced myself I was pregnant utterly - it's easily done. But then it could happen very quickly! If I were you I would try not to test too early - you'll only drive yourself nuts.

Where is starky with her early testing words of warning?

That reminds me where's kwick and how are you doing?

Pyjamas81 · 07/08/2016 12:26

You're right londonjem - am astounded at how my mind has played tricks on me! I see you've been having a DTD-athon - good work Smile

If anyone has any pearls of wisdom on when is good to test, that would be brilliant - I thought I was being good by holding out until 12dpo! That does of course depend on whether I have the dpo days right - highly likely that I don't ha ha. Had static smiley on CD19 so assumed I ovulated on CD20 - could be wrong!

purpleladybird · 07/08/2016 13:41

I have some internet cheepy OPKs too so will probably use those each evening. Never in my life have I wee'd in so many cups.

FXSkip · 07/08/2016 19:43

Hey guys, I took some time off for my mistoprol miscarriage but checked back in and happy to see a bfp for marmite and a bunch of newbies - welcome all and congrats!! Grintoo many posts to catch up on though!!

So it wasn't all that bad, thankfully, and now we're all set to get back on the mental ttc bus. No temps, no opks, no lube and no tww. Just dtd when I want to, pma and patience for me! I'm staying here though, love all the crazy banter ha ha!! I'm gonna stay off the list too Jem, as I'm trying not to track anything either - going in blind lol!

LondonJem · 07/08/2016 21:33

Hello skip good to see you, good luck getting back on, the blind relaxed approach sounds good x

marmitecheesetoast · 07/08/2016 21:38

Thanks fxskip, lovely to see you back. Glad to hear you're feeling ok and sounds like an excellent relaxed ttc strategy! Fx you don't have to wait long for the next BFP and that it's a sticky one Smile

I was also wondering where kwick was, hope she's ok.

Have had lots of chat with DH today so feeling pretty good about things now. Still very early days though so trying not to get ahead of myself.

FXSkip · 08/08/2016 07:57

Yea I was wondering about kwick too. There sure aren't many of us about from back in the day, which I guess is a good thing. The first lot to get upduffed on this thread will be due soon, I wonder how they all are

LovelyFishy · 08/08/2016 08:38

I ended up caving and tested this morning, had more odd feeling nipples yesterday. Very bfn, symptoms are all in my head. Dtd every other day over fw, and it's now officially been a year with not even a sniff of a bfp. There's got to be something wrong. It's odd, I'm feeling quite despondent but not super upset. Just resigned. Sad

Sorry to welcome you on a bit of a downer post but hello Pyjamas!

Good to hear from you again Skip, glad it's going ok.

Glad you're feeling better now your DH is home Marmite. Smile
