It's up to you Proseccokiss will you be upset if it's a BFN?? I tested 4 days before my period was due though when I got pregnant (MC time) an it was clearly positive! Good luck!

prosecco it might be to early to show a BFP so I would leave it a few days. How many dpo are you? I'd try about 10dpo. Easy for me to say obviously ha!

Something weird is going on with me, I got BFNs up to 13 dpo and gave up so been expecting AF today or tomorrow. This morning I started with mild brown spotting so just thought AF was here. It's turning slightly red now it's later in the day. There isn't much in volume though. Had pad on all day and hardly a mark on it, only really anything there when I wipe. I'm starting to wonder if it's not AF and is something else???

spreadontoast if it's no heavier in the morning, POAS with FMU. I know people find BFNs disappointing, but I can totally convince myself I'm pg unless I do a test. Spotting sounds promising so good luck!!!

spread I have had random months where I've spotted before AF and some months when I didn't. I did also spot the month I got my BFP but it was never red. To be honest if you've had a BFN at 13dpo (and you're sure of your dates) I'd be 99% sure you're not pregnant and it's the start of AF. Sorry if that sounds like I'm being overly negative! I've just done the whole false hope thing before when I was trying for DS and I found it heartbreaking. So I'd much rather be rational about it all. But it's nothing to do with me, so POAS if it will make you feel better and I will 100% keep my fingers crossed for you!!

Well AF is here with full force now! Trying to focus on the next fertile window now. Ordered OPK and preggo tests in bulk from amazon so they should be here in time for SMEP starting.
sunny I don't mind a good bit of truth so don't worry about sounding negative. Rational is best!

Hello all, can I hop on please? Ttc #2, cycle 2. I'm 38. Etd 25th may.

Only had 2 period since ds arrived and they were 40 days apart, prev cycles were 24 days so I am hoping for slightly shorter this time. It's hard to know when to aim for with dtd though. We don't get much chance with ds 9months!

Hey everyone how are you all doing. AF due next Monday ish but think I ovulated late so may be a few days late. Getting cramping lower right however ita not the first time ovw had that and got a bfn. X

Sorry af arrived spreadontoast... Have you done the SMEP before? I'm going to give it a try this month when af ends! Also... What ovulation tests do people use? I have some of the clearblue digital ones but don't think I can afford to keep buying those!

I'm feeling a bit weird and sick but think it is most likely jet lag as it's way to early for any symptoms!

Notta have you tried using OPKs? This is going to be my first month using them, should make it easier to know when to dtd.

jpeg I've not tried smep before but it seems very logical so hoping it works! I've ordered 50 cheapy OPKs from amazon for about a fiver, think they are called One Step or something, They should arrive in time!

Can I just ask what is SMEP? I keep seeing it but no idea what it means! Sorry if it's a bit basic!

SMEP is the Sperm Meets Egg Plan, it was devised as a system for after miscarriage but has high success for others - basically Dtd every other day and then every day near ovulation.

Oh I didn't know SMEP said to DTD every day around OV. I'll have a proper read of it I think! I found my old temping chart from the month I conceived with DS and we DTD the day before and after OV so guess it still works that way too!

Sorry AF arrived spread but glad you didn't take my comments the wrong way! Don't rule yourself out if you spot another month though. I did and drank half a bottle of wine on Friday and Saturday night and then got my BFP on the Thursday. Whoops!!

Notta I don't think we DTD when DS was 9 months old at all! I suppose it might be easier to be bothered when it's for a purpose rather than as a priority over sleep?! Haha! Hopefully your cycles will get back to normal soon. I'll add you to the stats soon!

Hi everyone old and new! waves

Sunny my etd is 13th May, same as Lucy but unfortunately this is a friday 13th!! Now on CD 13 after my chemical and have had lots of ewcm for around 3 days now, which I assume means I'm fertile along with my two dark lines on my opk this morning. Spread those are what I am using and I like them. We dtd Sunday morning and again last night and will pounce on dp again after my netball session on Wednesday night if I can muster up the extra energy!

I didn't get to have an extra Dtd with DH - he clearly wanted a bit of peace and I thought, well, it is only month one so let's not lose enthusiasm already as it'll be a long road, I imagine!

Cycle Day 16 here, entering my first tww.

Me too everdene - exciting but nervous! DH was too tired yest - first time that's ever happened

Sorry AF arrived spread and all the best for this cycle! I also use the one step cheapies from Amazon and have had no issues with them but I have found it best to start using them twice a day approaching when you might be ovulating. Thanks for sorting the stats sunny - I'm 6dpo today and etd is now 4 May. I'd love to try Smep properly but not sure DH is up to it!

I've also bought a load of cheapo one step pregnancy tests to manage my POAS addiction which I know will kick in over the bank holiday weekend!

We are also planning on doing SMEP- OH is very keen. Although last night he did turn over with his serious face on and say "do you think it is classed as cheating if we do it more than every other day before you ovulate?" Haha! Bless him- think he's taking this all very seriously whilst I lay back and enjoy myself haha! I have however caved and bought many many one step OPKs and HPTs from Amazon- I justified it by saying its a bargain at £15 for 60 OPKs and 10 HPTs!!

Welcome joy, sorry to hear about your MC and all the best for this cycle. The two week wait drives me nuts too. That said my cycles have been so long so far that I try and remember how annoying it is waiting for OV too! Fx this is your month
