Just sneaked in for a catch up, usually only read the threads but don't often join in so here goes.
Congrats to all BFPs, fantastic news for you all.
Hi to Sideways & Plummymummy, AF also due Monday or Tuesday. Felt strange for the last week like very weak cramps but after 3 years and every month being different I really don't expect the best anymore. Have you managed to resist testing?
Hang in there.

babylove123 · 03/02/2007 12:31

Sneaks, you're welcome hun, im really happy for you! Will not lie and say im not slightly but the happiness out-weighs that! lol

Wishing 1, you have my thoughts, im in the same boat as you

London, Jo got her BFP, need to adjust her

babychick, good luck

jersey · 03/02/2007 12:42

HI just poping one to say congrats to those with BFP, and good luck to the rest. ONly suggestion I have which seems to have worked for me is bding every other day and afterwards legs in the air with a pillow under your bum for 10 minutes .

Good luck.

goingfor3 · 03/02/2007 13:17

This may sound like a silly question but when the semen goes inside you does the sperm leave it and start swimming, so when the semen falls out in the morning the sperm has left? Sorry for sounding so silly but I'm really not sure.

scorpio1 · 03/02/2007 13:38

im joining in too now! my coil came out yesterday can you tell im happy?!

not sure about cycle days yet, have to give it a while to calm down first i suppose

trying for number three!

good luck to everyone

Ready · 03/02/2007 13:57

Jo&TheBoys, Cycle Bud!!! Congratulations! So pleased for you. All the very best!!

Ammy, You never speak out of turn, don't worry!! I know I need to relax, easier said than done though. I am looking into reflexology at the moment, so we'll see.

Lottie, Thanks honey, I know exactly what you mean, and again, you could never speak out of turn. I totally agree. I only really want to test to make sure that the OPKs and the temps concurred. I have bought them now, so I will do it this month anyway. I am going to try to relax more and just see what happens, and try not to panic if it doesn't happen this month again... it will happen when it is meant to. it will happen when it is meant to. It will happen when it is meant to

farewell Feb ladies, fingers crossed for all of you, congrats to those who have already graduated!! Hope none of you have to join my on the MadHatters and March Hares thread!!! All the best.

fruitful · 03/02/2007 14:37

Goingfor3 - I've been googling.

From here - sperm can only live in the vagina for ten to fifteen minutes. It usually only takes five minutes for the sperm to make its way to the fallopian tube.
?If you do certain things like lie still
in bed for an hour after you have sex,
you?re not increasing your chances of
getting pregnant,? says Schinfeld.
?You?re increasing your chances of a
bladder infection.?

On the other hand - more info on speed of the swimmers

I think the answer is that you need EWCM cos the sperm swim up in that. So what falls out is going to be empty / dead sperm.

gillian1973 · 03/02/2007 16:31

Hi all,
firstly many, many congratulations to everyone with BFPs. February is being a bumper month and maybe we can beat the Jan thread?!!

Alas, I won't be joining you. AF arrived in full glory on the 2/2 after I caught myself daydreaming of having a baby for my Oct birthday (don't I ever learn?). Anyhow, this was my first cycle following a little break after the mc so I cannot expect miracles. Good news is that my cycle is almost back to normal now and it should be easier to tell when I ovulate. Sigh!!

babylove123 · 03/02/2007 16:33

Sorry to hear AF came gillian, glad it is helping your cycle get back 2 normal tho. Best of luck for march!

plummymummy · 03/02/2007 22:11

Congrats to all with bfps and for those unlucky this month. I think I too will be joining the latter following some blood streaked tissue on a few occasions today. Less breast tension too so probably af about to start. Not too disappointed though as it's first cycle after m/c and it means I can have a couple of glasses wine tonight without feeling guilty

plummymummy · 03/02/2007 22:22

Also a bfn today and even though af not due til 5th/6th, I really think that spotting signifies that soon the painters will be in!

sideways · 03/02/2007 22:23

Sorry to hear that plummy - will prob be joining you tomorrow.

Babychick - hello, any news?

sideways · 03/02/2007 22:23

What do you mean a bfn??????? You weren't supposed to test!

Lucy1977 · 03/02/2007 23:27

Hi everyone

Can I join you ? We are going to start TTC #2 from now. Our DD will be one this month (Munz, is J similar age?) and I've only had 2 cycles since having DD one was 41 days and one was 42 days

Does anyone know - can I take my temp with an ear thermometer? Or does it have to be a special one?

GOod luck to all those still TTC and well done on those with their BFPs.

Lucy

plummymummy · 04/02/2007 10:39

Sideways I know I'm a bit crap at waiting!

sideways · 04/02/2007 15:13

I might test this afternoon...

jhyesmum · 04/02/2007 15:39

Hi, just joined after reading and you all sound so great!

I'm struggling here!! I have a six year old that we didn't even try for - so easy! However, we have been trying for 4 years - been tested all ok. Ho Hum! Anyway, i'm now a week over due. Had some spotting last Saturday (due date) and again monday. I am feeling mega tired, crappy and i've got cramps etc. Convinced this time, but no, done a preg test this afternoon and is neg. don't know whether to wait another week, or try again in the morning. Any suggestions?

LolaT · 04/02/2007 15:39

Hi all! I'd love to join you as well -- ttc #3 this month. (Putting it in writing is a little scary ...) I've been watching this thread and hope thinking about it and hearing your stories will help me along. Today for is day 16 and my cycles are usually 33 days, so ov should be very close.

fruitful · 04/02/2007 15:48

jhyesmum - are your cycles normally regular? I mean, are you certain that you're a week past when your period was due? Or could this be a longer cycle?

If I was definitely a week late, I'd be testing again first thing in the morning. But then I am not in the "don't test too early" camp. (I have a stash of cheapy pg tests waiting for next weekend to prove it!).

jhyesmum · 04/02/2007 15:49

Good luck LolaT!

Glad you joined too! Definatley need the support!!

jhyesmum · 04/02/2007 15:52

Hi Fruitful!! Thanks for the reply!

Yes, I have been reg for a year now. I'm a waiter too, but I was so convinced this time. I try to keep remembering what I was like with my son, but it's 7 years ago now and all I can remeber was that I felt sick!

You watch, the Period will come!!

babylove123 · 04/02/2007 18:12

Plummy, sorry about AF but i did think your comment is great! I say "i've got the decorators in" and no one had ever heard of that before! Well done girl!

Sideways.....any news you naughty tester?!

Lucy, welcome and good luck hun

Jheys, hmmmn well tbh its not over till its over! Maybe your BFP wont show up until a little later. Anymore signs? Got a feeling? Good luck!

Lola, welcome and good luck!!!!

Greenblock · 04/02/2007 18:29

the weirdest euphemism I've heard is 'the russians are invading down south' ...! what's the nest one you've heard of/used?

I'm lurking now on this thread after having a miscarriage this week following lurking on dec and jan threads. but it takes me a while to post so you may not see me again. also have no idea where I am in my cycle now. so maybe I should lurk on the march thread.

sadmner · 04/02/2007 18:43

Sorry to hear bout m/c greenblock. xxx

Did you get your BFP in jan?

Greenblock · 04/02/2007 18:49

yes, two weeks ago. but it was so much 'big' and 'fat' as 'weak' and 'not very convincing'. but the blood test was very much positive... Anyway, it is all over now and I am trying again! (feeling quite positive that I typed that!)

btw that should have read ' what's the best euphemism you've heard'..my typing is going downhill.
