Hi honor- have you posted somewhere before about slapcheek? It's a tricky one- I know that slapcheek should definitely be avoided if you are PG...I think I would probably cool it on the BDing until you know.

honeyapple · 31/01/2007 10:07

Are you feeling unwell? Have any rashes?

HonorMatopoeia · 31/01/2007 10:37

Sorry Honeyapple, I'm teaching a poetry lesson and being on mnet at the same time!! I haven't had a rash as such but have had the tell tale red cheeks, looking like I've just been shouted at iyswim! I'm so annoyed that my job puts me in a position whereby I have to stop ttc the thing is this couldgo on for ages as well as it just goes round and round.I was also hoping not to ttc in March or April as this would be a December or January birthday and our family is packed with birthdays around that time - perhaps that's a daft notion though?

honeyapple · 31/01/2007 10:41

Not daft at all. My DD bday is december, and DS is january. I was really stressing about having another baby at this time a few months ago... but now i dont really care! Obviously its not perfect! My birthday is the day after my sister's... never really thought of this as any problem when we were younger. Means I cant forget her birthday!

honeyapple · 31/01/2007 10:42

You work in a school? Very difficult to avoid any bugs. Try to keep healthy and get some of that germ killing spray that you wash your hands with...

HonorMatopoeia · 31/01/2007 10:49

I suppose that's correct, get all the birthdays over and done with in one fail swoop!! Working in a school is a PITA I tell you, there's also chicken pox going round at the moment, the problem then becomes, where do you draw the line and just say'to hell with it, I'm going to carry on trying?' Bum!

honeyapple · 31/01/2007 10:54

If you have had the virus- ie chicken pox, then it would be ok, it's just a problem if you havent had it. I kind of agree with the s*d it approach...

HonorMatopoeia · 31/01/2007 10:57

I'll have to check with my Mum actually, can't remember!! Think I've had chicken pox, think I've had the lot actually. Thought I'd also had slap cheek but not certain because surely if I had then I'd have developed the immunity they say comes with it? But then would it still be dangerous to the possible baby? Perhaps I should just quit and go to work as a pole dancer in an isolated boothe??!! It's a plan!!

honeyapple · 31/01/2007 11:01

Not sure about slap cheek. My dd's playgroup had a sign up a couple of months warning PG mothers about it... Infact I'd never heard of slapcheek at all until I had children.(Actually until we moved out of London) The first time i heard the name, I thought it was just a loony mother making up an illness for her overprotected daughter! It does sound ridiculous doesnt it... there must be a proper medical name for it...

seaside72 · 31/01/2007 11:22

Good morning everyone - OMG - 3 BFPs already for the Feb thread - CBF will be very disapporoving of all this early testing!! But the BFP's are great news.

Congrats to all three - but esp Jersey my cycle buddy!!

Lets hope the good luck continues right until the end of the month!

Sneaks · 31/01/2007 11:28

Guess I should be in here really?
Wow my boobs hurt today !! I wonder if AF is on the way. My average cycke length is 31 days but they are always between 29-31 days. On day 33 today. Feeling some cramp below but I think thats due to needing to go to the toilet ha ha.

Sneaks · 31/01/2007 11:33

Yes . Yes . That is what the cramp was
Sorry a little TMI there

Ready · 31/01/2007 11:53

thehairybabysmum · 31/01/2007 13:37

beansprout · 31/01/2007 14:05

Woo-hoo! Congratulations to everyone with BFPs!! That's fantastic!!

Sorry to be on a downer but AF arrived this morning, a couple of days earlier than expected . I might leave this thread and just hang out in the hut of gloom for a bit. Best of luck to everyone else for the rest of February

Congratulations Jersey and thbmum!
We're on a roll, ladies.

Pottypotpot · 31/01/2007 16:35

Sorry Beansprout .
Perhaps you'll be on this thread later this month?

goingfor3 · 31/01/2007 16:48

Hello

I decided that I wasn't going to obsess this month but here we are. Last month my ewcm started on CD 13 this cycle I'm on CD 14 and there is no sign of it. My last cycle was only 26 days does this mean I will have a longer cycle this time or it's just not going to happen this month? Anyway enough ranting because I'm sure all I can do is wait and see!

iwillbepgbydec07 · 31/01/2007 17:14

congratilations to the naughty little testers who tested outside FEBRUARY!!! but massive congrats!!! cant believe it 3 bfps already!!!

nothing to report here just staking out the days until a/f arrives....

anyone think 10th is such a long time to wait and test?!

JoAndTheBoys · 31/01/2007 17:35

Congratualtions to thehairybabysmum and jersey!

IWBPG2007 - Yes, it feels like ages away doesn't it! I've decided I'm going to only log on/post every few days now as doing it day by day is making the time go so slowly! and tbh I can't see impatient old me waiting until the 10th, but don't tell the CBF!

Beansprout - sorry to hear af has arrived hon

Well, it's cd26 for me, and I can't help feeling that af is waiting longer than usual to visit so that it will be extra disappointing when she does arrive...
My cycles last year before going back on the pill were consistently 23/24/25 days long.
Hope springs eternal as ever though, I am abnormally tired for me, and my temp is still up at 36.78 this morning. Obviously tiredness could be very likely impending af...

I am looking after myself in any case, nice relaxing baths the last few nights, haven't had alchohol since the weekend before last and eating pretty healthily. Also taking b-vits.

How's everyone else?

fruitful · 31/01/2007 18:09

Beansprout - rotten AF. This is the point when I usually start obsessing that I might be pg anyway, which is not good for my mental state. Hut is prob a better idea. How long are your cycles? Might you squeeze another one in, in Feb? The CB Monitors might let you test early if you ask nicely!

Goingfor3 - it either means your cycle will be a day or two longer, or you'll have ewcm for less days. Plus, some months it is more visible than others. Not much evidence of mine this month, but got a positive OPK this afternoon, which prob means OV tomorrow. Think we'll put the kids to bed early!

ammylovesbabies · 31/01/2007 18:10

Congrats to all you BFP's!!

Wish I could test early and get a positive- had to wait a week after AF not turning up with DD before I got a BFP. The waiting is awful- it must feel good to chop the waiting down a bit!!

Feel bit better today- Got stomach cramps and they are going into my thighs so AF is definitely on her stinkin' way. Oh well.
Don't feel that bad- Gonna concentrate on planning my wedding to take my mind off it. May temp for a couple of months to see when I ovulate- I've got a feeling after this failed attempt that I ovulate later than I think although if I do this may mean my LP is quite short, but I think there is stuff I can do about that. I'm gonna give temping a go anyway, Then when we try again in the summer (July/August time) at least I will be armed with all the facts. I feel a bit lost with the whole thing- If I could pinpoint when things actually happen, I may feel a lot better about the whole thing. I would like to use the phrase 'stab in the dark' but won't.........!

How is everyone anyway? 1st day of the crunch month tomorrow!!

nomoremagnolia · 31/01/2007 18:43

Congrats to all the BFPs!! How fantastic!
My temp finally went up this morning, thank goodness thought I'd never ov!

FurryFox · 31/01/2007 19:07

Huge congratulations to Potty, jersey and hairybabysmum, and so soon as well, lets hope this carries on throughout the month

Beansprout - Sorry AF has showed up , so frustrating.

I'm on CD8 today so still a few days before any serious BDing needs to take place and already wishing the days away. Must start to relax a bit

Good luck to all waiting to test soon and hoping AFs stay away
