The painful 2 week wait

Does anyone here find themselves going mad? Researching every single sympton they feel in the 2ww to validate your theory that you might have conceived? Or is it just me?!? Help?!?

I think I am doing it now by posting here - but feel like I need support!

Last year I had a MMC with twins; around 12 weeks. I had to have a D&C and I was devastated for a long time. At Christmas I found out I was pregnant again - but had a mc much sooner (around 6 weeks)

We're now activitively TTC. This month, following ovulation, I have had aches and twinges. A sore throat. A snotty nose. Mucus drip into my throat. More discharge than normal. I am SO tired... My period is due on Saturday. I have started the mad preg testing already - holding up the test to the light hoping to see something.

Can I ask... is they anyone out there who has managed to move on from the agony of the tww? You hear so many stories of ppl giving up and then finding out they are pregnant.. All this worry and research can't be good .. Can it?!? Any tips on how to "forget" or relax about the TWW would be so helpful!! Help!!!

Stickyjellybean i have been reading this and i just felt the need to give you a virtual hug.

AnxiousBetty · 10/03/2016 16:33

I am so stuck now thinking I could be pregnant but really not sure as I was on the pill and honestly have no idea when I am ovulating and only a guess to when my next period is due ... Could be anything between 4-10 days from now really.... I have slight nausea and had light cramping, bit of white ish cm and headaches but they're coming and going and very light. The only thing that's stayed is needing to pee a lot more. I'm driving myself insane just thinking "am I just imagining symptoms because I want to be pregnant" I did a test today but it was a faulty test so not even a control line showed up. I've got another 3 tests to do but don't know when to do them Sad

LooLoo777 · 10/03/2016 21:01

I meant mucus from a cold..! Not sure about the other mucus type stuff Shock

How are you holding up?

Thanks for the hug!! The days are dragging...!

LooLoo777 · 10/03/2016 21:02

Still back ache and mild cramping. Weird growing pains in my legs too.

OP posts:
AnxiousBetty · 10/03/2016 21:42

Just thought I'd add Looloo that I am getting crampy legs too like growing pains but slightly not as bad!

LooLoo777 · 12/03/2016 08:27

How is everyone doing?

OP posts:
Stickyjellybean · 12/03/2016 19:24

Tested again this evening (incase that's any different to morning pee!) and still a definite BFN! Think it's time to accept I've just skipped a period this month.

How are you LooLoo? And everyone else?

LooLoo777 · 12/03/2016 20:41

That's so frustrating!! Sorry to hear things aren't clearer for you - it's the worst not knowing either way. Sounds like a missed period. Will you be able to track your cycle this month? Wishing you lots of luck!!

My pains aren't as bad as they were, but they come and go and I still feel like my period is going to come any minute. Still quite detached from it, because I am scared, but have my fingers crossed...! Trying to decide whether to go for an early scan or not

OP posts:
Stickyjellybean · 12/03/2016 21:49

I don't really know how to track this cycle when I don't have a starting point if you know what I mean...think we might just dtd whenever we fancy, no pressure and see if I get a period in April. If I don't I'll be heading to the GP I think just to put my mind at rest. bit worried because my period in January was so very light and that's all I've had since the erpc so now scared something has been caused by that.

I think if an early scan will put your mind at rest then you should go for it, but wait until you would be at least 7-8 weeks I reckon. Better chance of seeing clearer baby and heartbeat. Really hoping it's all well for you. Glad the pains are subsiding!

LooLoo777 · 12/03/2016 22:30

Good idea re: Drs to put your mind at rest. I didn't keep a diary / I don't remember exactly what my cycle was like after my D&C last year but I think similarly I had a very light bleed and it took a while for everything to get back to normal. Possibly a month or two - no longer than that. Not sure if that helps...? I remember it being stressful not knowing what was going on, so I feel for you.

You're right re: 7-8 weeks. They want to book me in for a reassurance scan at 6 weeks - which I am tempted by but worried about as I know you can't always see things plus my first m/c happened later so I would hate to get my hopes up. I think waiting is best. 5 weeks exactly today .. Taking each day as it comes. Thanks for all your support

Stickyjellybean · 15/03/2016 19:33

Just thought I'd pop back and see how you're doing LooLoo? Hoping it's all going well. Have they booked you in for a scan?

I thought I'd test one last time (last test I've got) and ended up dropping it down the toilet! Oops no testing anymore for me! Husband flat out refusing to go get more, can't say I blame him! But I did an ovulation test which was positive so that's something!

LooLoo777 · 15/03/2016 20:19

Hello! So nice to hear from you. 5 weeks 3 days today, apparently, so still early days. The EPU want me in early next week - if I make it that far I will have a scan. So nervous.

Good news that you're ovulating! Good luck! My partner is exactly the same about my obsession with buying pregnancy tests!!

Wishing you loads of luck this month!

LittleLionMansMummy · 16/03/2016 08:36

Just wanted to add my congratulations LooLoo! So pleased for you and hope everything goes well with the scan.

I've only had two real periods since I came off the pill, both cycles were quite standard in length and I only got pms a few days before my period. When we tried for ds1 my periods were really irregular due to pcos.

The single most noticeable symptoms for me have been chronic tiredness and poking/ stretching/ aching twinges on my left side - similar to ov pain. For the past few days I've had period-like cramps (but milder and not as long) but af is a no show. I tested yesterday and initially thought it was negative. Checked 30 mins later in better light and there was a faint pink line! Just hoping it wasn't an evaporation line, so back to waiting a little longer. Going to test again tomorrow.

LooLoo777 · 20/03/2016 12:45

How is everyone?

OP posts:
Stickyjellybean · 20/03/2016 13:50

I'm ok, ovulation tests were positive tues and weds. So hoping it actually was ovulation and we've caught it this time. Haha means I'm back in a 2ww!! How are you doing LooLoo?

LooLoo777 · 20/03/2016 20:33

Got everything crossed for you. The horrible 2ww - I feel for you!

I had been OK, but unfortunately I have had a bit of brown discharge tonight. I know lots of people have this and everything is fine but this has always been how my m/c start so I am not hopeful at all. I also had a bit of cramping earlier. Going to the EPU tomorrow - hope I can sleep tonight. I can't believe it, just as the symptoms were starting to set in too. So disappointing.

OP posts:
Stickyjellybean · 20/03/2016 21:00

Don't panic just yet. See what they say tomorrow. It might all be fine, I have my fingers crossed for you.

LooLoo777 · 21/03/2016 22:35

So I had the scan this morning - they saw a heartbeat and everything looked OKish ... I have a subchronic haemotoma apparently. They want to see my again in 2 weeks.

Good news - but a way to go!

OP posts:
Stickyjellybean · 21/03/2016 23:36

That's really good news! I bet it was a relief to see the heartbeat. Lots of hematoma go away on their own don't they? So pleased for you, u hope you can begin to enjoy it a little.

Stickyjellybean · 21/03/2016 23:37

I hope, not u hope!

LooLoo777 · 22/03/2016 08:23

Thank you :-) I think they can disappear.

How are you?

OP posts:
Stickyjellybean · 24/03/2016 09:57

I'm ok thanks, got a horrid cold back so feeling a bit rubbish because of that. I'm holding off as long as possible to even think about testing this time, def not before Wednesday is what I keep telling myself. Really hoping we've got it, otherwise I'll be heading to the docs to find my missing period! Looking forward to this Easter weekend though, bring on the chocolate!!
How are you doing today LooLoo?

LooLoo777 · 24/03/2016 10:19

Good idea on testing - I know it's SO hard and I was terrible at early testing but hold off as long as you can. Otherwise you will be squinting at the test!! I have everything crossed for you. I always get coldy type symptoms when I am pregnant, so fingers crossed this is a sign for you!!

I am OK - scared. I am starting to get a bit attached to the idea, which is even scarier! This blood clot thing is a bit unnerving too.

A bit more bleeding today - but nothing too serious (I hope) I will keep an eye on it. I am starting to feel ill - so I guess that's a good sign. Really hope this one sticks and fights! X

OP posts:
Stickyjellybean · 24/03/2016 10:36

at no other point in our lives do we want to wake up vomiting but now it would be a really good thing! i don't think you can help but feel attached, I hope that you start throwing up and stuff soon as I imagine it'll make you feel better. (I've never wished vomiting luck to someone before!). At least they are going to keep a close eye on you so that's quite reassuring. Only a week and a bit until you go back for another scan?

Stickyjellybean · 28/03/2016 19:26

Hey LooLoo, how've you been over the long weekend?
