Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?'

Thread 12. Welcome!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kats stats I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen and if you don't test, you get a Starky's Star

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself your pregnant in the tww

Welcome Anne! Mr Blythe is all mine though!

jamjar poor you! I too never comment until I get validation... Thank God as I though someone in our team was upduffed and I nearly said something but refrained and then found out she had just put on loads of weight after getting married.

Trying opks for the first time this month, am already at 2dpo. Just recovered from lovely bout of food poisoning, so not optimistic. Will start opk earlier next month.

Sorry about AF Evergreen Flowers

Welcome Anne Smile who is Mr Blythe?

Anyone doing anything exciting today? I'm lying in bed thinking about going for a run...always seems less appealing when it's not sunny! Can't wait for AF to piss off.

Jam it has happened to me too...more than once. It's mortifying isn't it?! Flowers

Thanks everyone! I'll admit, I've taken advantage of it sometimes lol. On the tube last week it was very busy and a man offered me his seat so I took it (and my DH was laughing further up the carriage), which happens quite often and people have let me skip toilet queues before etc. But I have had a woman shout at me when I was out drinking before, I suppose she had a point if I looked rather heavily upduffed and was downing shots! I wouldn't ever presume someone was pregnant now because of it, but I really don't blame anyone as I look quite convincing. I get comments every time it happens but all my friends/family/people I see regularly know it happens so it's ok.

It just plays tricks on my brain as its pretty easy to pretend I'm pregnant but then obviously, I'm not lol. I'll probably be in denial when I am and shocked when my belly doesn't flatten down again!

I'll attach a photo of it. I spent the day as a normal size 14 and then poof!

Welcome anne

elle I am lying in bed thinking about a run too. I absolutely would do but I also had a bout of horrendous food poisoning yesterday and spent rather a long painful spell on the loo :( Tummy is still feeling really delicate so might give the run a miss.

Sorry about AF ever

Periods now finished for me, so just wondering when to start opks. Probably not until day 7-8 makes sense I would have thought?

Wow jam that really does look like a baby bump. Do you know what causes it, could you have some food intolerance going on?

Sorry about AF ever

jam that myst be so hard to have people assume. I've been shocked at how many people think it's ok to speak to me about how i'll be pregnant soon since i got married last year. Even though i've not been trying long, and never expected it to happen straight away; i do worry how i might feel a year from now when people start asking why i havent had a baby!

Hi all :)

I feel guilty... I was lying in bed NOT thinking about going for a run. I really should do, my weight is creeping up since the wedding. I'm hiding it in baggy winter clothes but will feel like shit when it starts to get warmer and my muffin top is flopping over my jeans.

I think it's a nice idea to all meet up but when we all have babies of different sizes we will probably all be a bit knackered for a trip to the big smoke! I'm not in London. I've been to North London though, if that counts. :) im on the south coast. Couldn't not live by the sea. Not that i go to see it every week, but I know it's there.

List update to follow in a separate post.

I used to worry about outing myself too, but then realised that it's very unlikely until pink on the grads thread told me she lives about 15 minutes down the road!! I definitely think a meet up would be hilarious, I do often wonder what you all look like. I thought that was just me Wink It's funny how you picture people based on their personality.

Wow jem that's an awesomely convincing bump!

Morning ladies!
How are you all getting on?
Congrats Bellini! Lovely news, has anyone else had a bfp this week?
I had a bit of a scare yesterday when I went to the toilet there was quite a bit of brown blood and also had a dull ache in my lower tummy. Spoke to nhs direct and midwife and they have booked me for an early scan on Wednesday, no blood today and tummy ache soon went so keeping positive plus I think they would've sent me to A&E if they were concerned. Still a scare though.

Anyway, hope you are all doing ok.

Oh jam that's awful. Must be so worrying. And so hard to look pregnant when you're not and trying to be.

FX everything is ok indi Does sound as though they'd have taken you in if they were concerned though...

A meet up would be hilarious. One of the things I'm looking forward to about having a little one is the meeting of new friends at baby groups etc! I loved down to London about 8yrs ago and although I've made some lovely new friends (and the DP) my best friends are all back north and I don't see them as often as I'd like. I miss having some girlie friends just around the corner! I bet we'd all get on like a house on fire, especially if cocktails and wine were involved!!

I have a beach hut in Broadstairs on the south coast that we could meet up?? It's stocked with booze! Or, ahem, we could sit and chat and kids could come if people have them??

Wouldn't it be hilarious if it turned out some of us knew each other? Like, my boss is in here or my neighbour. Wink

Waiting for a scan at 6+5. I stopped POAS after a good bright line on 14dpO (HPT #4). I'm still too terrified and early to join a preggo thread, but bloated enough to be wearing my first pair of maternity jeans. I can't decide if I'm comfy enough to overcome the fact that I feel like a dick wearing them this early.
