Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

kat I'd love a doula, but there's no way we could afford it. I'm going to train Dh in the art of hypnobirthing after I've learned about it myself I'm hoping he will be a good birth partner, he was good at being a personal trainer, so fx I can transfer the skills!

snow I can't work out if it's a good thing or not. I'm sat down and still wobbly, It's so odd! I had to nip to the shop and I was worried I was going to fall over en route. Really hoping I'm not getting a lurgy of some kind. Also, I recommend getting a durex vibrating cock ring, without being gross, honestly, they're brilliant, and help with simletaneous orgasm.

kwick thank you Smile an old fashioned is Bourbon or Rye whiskey, a splash of Angostura bitters, 1 Sugar cube, Few dashes plain water. You have to muddle the sugar with the bitters first and then add the ice and pour the whiskey. If you're sassy, add a cocktail cherry. Has to always be served in a short glass with a thick glass bottom (to keep it cold longer).

Kwick709 · 06/02/2016 18:39

Starky what is mogga?

KatOnATinRo0f · 06/02/2016 18:43

It sounds quite nice. I just never knew it even existed. I suppose I just assumed that the doctors, nurses, midwives, health visitors or whatever have you assistance (not with cleaning and making snacks obv)
What part of usa are you moving to?

(Completely different topic of conversation and also as wildly early as buying baby stuff and nursery stuff.... But what's the deal with these postpartum binders or girdles? To hold everything all in. Any good? Anyone know? I'm dreading my belly flopping to my knees)

Kwick709 · 06/02/2016 18:46

snowdog the doula thing sounds like such a lovely and giving thing to do

Snowdog37 · 06/02/2016 18:46

Probably New Hampshire or Maine. Maybe Massachusetts. My dh's company has a location in each state so it'll depend where he gets approved to relocate and where we want to be. All that area is amazing though. I've been loads of times, and love it. It'll be an amazing place to have kids. Eek!!!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 06/02/2016 18:50

kwick mogga is illness like a cold/flu. It might just be a northern thing or perhaps just nearby me where we say it.

Starky thanks for explaining what old fashioned is... even if I was off the wagon I would not handle - the first and last time I drank whiskey was in Spain when I was studying there back in 1994 (yep about the time most of you were born) and I shared half a litre of the stuff mixed with coke and then spent the rest of the night chucking up...

I do not have dh to help with orgasm bit but I still manage it Blush

StarkyTheDirewolf · 06/02/2016 18:56

kwic ill be honest, I have to be in a very specific mood to have one, and only one, whiskey isn't my thing! Grin a nice cosmopolitan I could happily go through pints of! I haven't had one for about a year probably!

Snow thanks for explaining the doula thing, it was really interesting, and you didn't yap on about yourself at all! I'd never really thought about it, was assuming DH would do the job but I can see the benefit of having an advocate/someone to support you.

We are away for the weekend and I've forgotten to bring my OPKs, doh!

Jam I might broach the subject with DH. If he looks horrified then it's probably not a goer! Unless I can do it by stealth do you think?

Starky hope your blancmange like state is a sign that you have a little pudding cooking!

Hope you're on the mend now Kwick Flowers that sounds like an unpleasant procedure.

firstgo1984 · 06/02/2016 19:03

miley were your sore boobs any different to usual pre-AF?

KatOnATinRo0f · 06/02/2016 19:15

Kwick.... You probably manage it better than the rest of us!

I'd love to move to the US. Can't work over there without pretty much doing my entire degree again though so I don't fancy it!

AliceScarlett · 06/02/2016 19:20

Snow, really interesting hearing about it, I want one of you!

vixarooni · 06/02/2016 19:42

Hi guys, I had a bit of a hiatus while I went neurotic over symptoms and realised I needed a slap round the face. Told oh and I'm feeling back on track. I came on today and this period is a massive bitch, but I'm feeling raring to go with the next phase!

Where do you guys buy your ovulation tests? I've always thought I've known when I ovulate but I wanna test myself to see if I'm right or wrong.

Congrats to co5mo!!!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 06/02/2016 20:08

vix I get these ones.
www.amazon.co.uk/One-Step-Sensitive-Ovulation-Fertility/dp/B001G7STT0/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1454789238&sr=8-2-fkmr1&keywords=Thick+ovulation+test

You can get them in packs of 10, 20, 30 and 50. I prefer the wider ones as they're easier to read.

Mileymoocow · 06/02/2016 20:08

first it was slightly different as it was only my boobs that were sore whereas with af my nipples hurt too.

Erm I have never heard of a doula. I really want one now, though! Just spent at least 10 minutes awwing over a changing mat. Think I've absolutely lost it. OH is now home and has forgiven me for the traumatic farts I cooked him steak.

snow I'm totally jealous. Think I should have been born in the USA breaks into song. I've been to Massachusetts and Florida and I just looove it there.

Chocaholic88 · 06/02/2016 20:08

vix I got mine on eBay! £3.60 for 30... don't know if they were accurate for me as I was probably pregnant all along. However they do strongly detect the hormone as glow in the dark if I pee on one now haha :)

Kwick709 · 06/02/2016 20:16

Snow you are right - the bits of USA you are considering are, well, awesome!!! I did a road trip once from Boston to Prince Edward Island - lovely part of the world :)

ElleSarcasmo · 06/02/2016 20:32

Kat me too re redoing degree/training in my case, or would be well up for it Sad

vixarooni · 06/02/2016 20:41

Thanks guys! Got myself 30 to see how I get on :)

TheUltimate · 06/02/2016 21:04

Hello :)

I'm new to ttc for #2. I've never really done much tracking of cycles and ovulation but have been paying a bit more attention this month!

So, my cycles tend to be pretty regular although longer than 28 days, more 30-33. Haven't been on any hormonal contraception for 4 years (we use condoms). AF arrived on 10th of Jan so my predicted date for AF this month is 9th - 12th. I was definitely ovulating between 25th and 27th due to change in cm. Dtd in that time.

No noticeable changes except I have remarkably clear skin. I suffer with hormonal acne so the spike in progesterone in the run up to AF usually gives me a few blinders. Also my boobs are feeling slightly heavy which usually happens not long after ovulation finishes with it settling down around 2-3 days before AF arrives. It's very definitely late for me this month.

Anyway, my non expert opinion says I'm 12dpo. Unsure of what to expect although I have no expectations with it being our first month trying. (#1 was unexpected)

Feefeefs · 06/02/2016 21:10

Well jealous snow applied for a green card a few years ago. I love America. Texas or Northern California would be my dream homes. How did you train to become a doula

KatOnATinRo0f · 06/02/2016 21:23

Just had my first baby bomb :(
And the first pang of AF cramps ready for tomorrow like clockwork

Yvonne1986 · 06/02/2016 21:39

Quite a few people get AF cramps but then get a BFP so FX it will be the same for you Kat x
