Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird/Ovibitch) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 9 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat, I have been dubbed the resident piss stick queen loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Thanks ladies!
Runner could you please post the link to the grads thread again? Grin

Sorry for AF's/bfn's ladies. Get some wine and chocolate and look after yourself. Get ready for a major shagathon in just over a week! Xx

Evergreen15 · 02/02/2016 08:10

Indi mega congrats on BFP!
Snow my cycles have regulated a lot more since quitting coffee, alcohol and sugar I stuffed my face last night though

KatOnATinRo0f · 02/02/2016 08:11

Morning everyone!

Congratulations Indi that is a stonking line!!

I'm sorry miw :( such a shame AF got u. Onwards and upwards to the March bus.
I'm supposed to test on 7th but I have a feeling AF will turn up early again this month.

List on the way so we can see where everyone is... We've still got some January stragglers, holly is patiently waiting for AF so I will sit her on the feb bus for now....anyone seen/heard Sea or First??

We did pretty darned well last month girls loads of BFPs to celebrate! (I am taking pleasure in the group enjoyment of other people's BFPs as I don't have one... Is that a bit crazy?)

Re stress at work... It depends what it is.... What do u do? If it's sheer volume of stuff to get done, I find TD lists essential. Sometimes I have three or 4 going a day to make sure I do different things. I have just started bullet journaling which i hope will help me to be a bit more productive. If it's general stress that u can't do anything about, actually finding a few mins to relax and practice mindfulness or some yoga breathing (or get to a yoga class one evening a week) is the only thing. When I don't do yoga, because I am too stressed/busy to go, I realise that everything is a bit worse after a few weeks. When I force myself to go at the end of the class I am just more relaxed.

KatOnATinRo0f · 02/02/2016 08:14

Re: the list..... I'm really sorry I don't think I saved the last one I edited with some newbies and altered dates BlushBlushBlushBlush so I think this one isn't quite right. Please tell me and I'll get it sorted today (DH at work so can leisurely mums net without nosiness)

Oh 7dpo, it was all going swimmingly until you came along! (yesterday) Started noticing gentle cramps, same again this morning...Couldn't get to sleep last night for thinking about when, who and how I would tell people about my non existant BFP. Bye sanity 👋 ! See you in a week!!!

positivity123 · 02/02/2016 08:29

Also I've been lurking for a while and it's good to hear of all of the BFPs. Just got one question? What is dpo?

Ni4444 · 02/02/2016 08:32

Feefs I agree...make a list prioritising your tasks (what really HAS to get done this week), identify things that can be delegated, maybe shut yourself off somewhere to reduce colleague, email, or phone interruptions. Use your commuting time or lunchtime to take a few minutes...some paced breathing (spend a few minutes breathing out for longer than you breath in. Count in 1,2,3, pause, out 1,2,3,4,5, pause, repeat-forces a physiological change in the body which causes it to calm), or try listening to the mindfulness app Calm (exercises as short as 2/3minutes). And keep nourishing your body with good food! Try Hello Fresh if it's too hard to find time to shop for good groceries. Try to push worries away...they get you nowhere, and keep stress levels high

FXSkip · 02/02/2016 08:36

Hi positivity and welcome! Dpo is days past ovulation - (i love www.countdowntopregnancy.com for its dpo chat)

Feefs having a 10 second breath (in for 4, hold, out for 4, hold) stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, rest and digest as opposed to fight or flight. Lowers blood pressure and allows blood flow to restore to non-essential organs - including baby makers! It's a great tool for anxiety and stress management

Ni4444 · 02/02/2016 08:39

If anyone wants to try Hello Fresh check out www.hellofresh.co.uk with code WDZ9S6 to get 20quid off (just be sure to cancel subscription afterwards so you don't get charged for the following week)

SuchaJem · 02/02/2016 08:39

Welcome positivity DPO is days post ovulation. I struggle with the acronyms too :)

indi cracking line! Mega congrats.

Sorry to those who got AF - wine and chocs all round xx

elle love the landing strip lights vajjazle, no excuses for lost sperm.

Your experience sounds similar to our first go last month. I didn't get a bfp but had so many symptoms and felt very different in myself, including being off tea, so emotional, very sore and swollen boobs, wind and constipation. Period was odd with none of the usual symptoms and only lasted two days.

As someone said though, if it was a chemical then that's a good sign that things are happening.

DH also works away frequently - very frustrating if coincides with fw!

LisaTheGreek · 02/02/2016 08:42

Congrats Indi! Great line! Look forward to seeing you in Grads!

Feefs - I recommend getting outside when you can. Even if it's just a 10-minute walk at lunchtime (whether you need to buy lunch or not). If I leave work at the end of the day and I've been inside staring at my computer screen I feel stressed and claustrophobic. Little breaks to get fresh air (even if it's freezing outside) are gold.

ElleSarcasmo · 02/02/2016 08:56

That's a beauty Indi! Congratulations! Flowers Flowers Flowers

Welcome Positivity!

I am taking pleasure in the group enjoyment of other people's BFPs as I don't have one not mad at all Kat, I am doing the same!

Feefs sorry to hear things are rough. What helps for me is trying to get outside for even 5-10 min if at all possible, seconding Lisa. Also baths/showers with nice products, nice smelling shampoo (ie buying new stuff), nice/healthy lunches so I feel I'm looking after myself, not drinking on weekdays (or feel sluggish at work), and getting out running even if it's only once a week.

Not sure you really needed an essay Blush!

Starky I'm building up to showing DH the great sperm race. I'm worried it will stress him out. Maybe after FW this month. Has yours recovered?!

ElleSarcasmo · 02/02/2016 09:00

I think it's a good sign too Jem. I did wonder if I was just symptom spotting but absolutely nada this month other than the grouch and chocolate craving a couple of days pre-AF.

Neither of us are working away this month and no trips planned, going to do my best to get on it! Do you know what CD you ovulated last month? I think mine was day 13-14 but will try to be more diligent with OPKs this month!

ElleSarcasmo · 02/02/2016 09:00

Ni have you used hello fresh? Are they good? Thanks for the code!

SuchaJem · 02/02/2016 09:15

I'm usually like clockwork with my cycle elle and ov midway, always accompanied by EWCM. So I haven't done any opks or anything like that. I'm not sure if I'll be quite so reliable this month though, if it was a chem and with my period being so short.

I bought a pack of boots opks for this very reason but I haven't braved it yet. I realise this sounds strange! But what do you use to collect your wee? It seems quite a faff!

And I read it's better to test wee at midday - which would be in the office so even more tricky!

Kathrino · 02/02/2016 09:41

Indi, that's a great line! Congrats! You must be so utterly thrilled.

I know exactly what you mean Kat and Elle about taking pleasure in other people's BFPs. Whilst baby bombs in real life tend to unnerve me, I can honestly say that I'm genuinely happy for all the people who get their BFPs on here.

Not much to report here, just waiting for AF to appear. Today is CD 27 and over the last few months by cycles have ranged from 27 - 31 days so it will be any day now I think. I'm in that running to the loo every 5 minutes to see if it's appeared stage...

FXSkip · 02/02/2016 09:47

Jem I tested at work a few times, using the packet to 'collect' and then you just dip the stick for 10 seconds. I then loosely wrap the stick in loo roll and discretely smuggle it back to my desk where I can watch it in peace. Yes, I have had funny looks when I tried to use tupperware, yes I have had to take a stick into a meeting with me. No, I am not proud of this.

Starky I recommend temping, it doesn't help you to predict OV but it does help to understand patterns, and when Ovia tells you some bullshit you know she's lying cos your temps haven't dipped

IndiX · 02/02/2016 10:06

Thank you girls! Wishing you lots of luck and hope to see more bfps soon!
Btw I'm not going to leave this thread, I'll just be a lurker and see how you all get on xx

SuchaJem · 02/02/2016 10:17

fxskip Ooh hadn't thought of using the packet to collect the wees. Will give that a go.

HATS OFF taking this into a meeting! That's brilliant.

ElleSarcasmo · 02/02/2016 10:50

Jem a popular choice on here is a gu ramekin Wink! I am trying to make myself a portable work kit, haven't quite cracked it yet but I don't use the same cubicle (and it is a single cubicle so no hanging around) so can't keep anything there, it needs to be concealable in a handbag. I am trialling disposable plastic cups and clear sandwich bag to keep the stick in for later reading (as can't hog the cubicle for 10 min!)

miwelaisjacydo · 02/02/2016 11:01

Right so haven't read thread as am in work but I thought Af had arrived but it's very very light. I usually have quite heavy Af too. Am so confused.

latinata · 02/02/2016 11:10

AF has arrived- lolz for thinking it might be implantation bleeding, silly me.

On the plus side, this is the first time I've gone nearly three weeks without alcohol in a long time. That ends tonight!

And just a tiny bit happy that I can go on hols to Mexico this weekend without a zika-freakout. Tequila here I come!

SuchaJem · 02/02/2016 11:58

elle excellent excuse to eat GU. Will pop out at lunch.

Transportation from loo back to desk a quandary. May have to invest in tops with massive pockets?

mi implantation blood? What colour is it?

Sorry about AF latin Mexico sounds awesome though, just the ticket for diverting AF blues.

Mileymoocow · 02/02/2016 12:02

So I told an actual real life person I was pregnant today (nurse at work) and that was weird! I have a meeting at 1pm with my boss which is awkward worked here since I was 17 and he's like my work dad so not looking forward to that at all.

Sorry about shitty af latina WineFlowers
