Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

Evergreen, yes, I did a double take at that too!

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 12:04

Glad you're doing better today Ctul. That sounds similar to me and DH, that he will be happy if it ended up just us, even though he does want a family. I have never been so anxious since I started TTC, thankfully he has proved to be a good un, sounds like yours is too Smile

Lisa I really want one! Yours sounds so cute and daft! Is he a cuddler? What is the other one like? I am such a sap that I would be really sad if I ended up with an aloof cat! We are def planning to get one in the next place but may be a little while yet!

Lauren you're not out until you're out!

Snow I am impressed at your DH level of commitment! Mine still doesn't quite get it. He does have a certain weakness which I plan to exploit! Hopefully everyone will be happy that way Wink

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 12:07

Ctul don't go unless it's making you stress more sticking around. We are here to support each other so keep posting if it helps Flowers

LisaTheGreek · 29/01/2016 12:14

Elle - the other one (ginger with white paws and white chest) is even dafter. He's pretty (well, he's beautiful), but several sandwiches short of a picnic...He's a bit special.

They are both cuddlers when they're tired and will also cuddle up together and clean each other. Brotherly love!

Mazza22 · 29/01/2016 12:19

ct the above research sounds promising. Think day 21 bloods are notoriously hard to interpret, so def don't lose hope. Very very sweet about your OH and grey to have that support from him x

Mazza22 · 29/01/2016 12:32

*Great

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 12:36

elle just took one then and its def a bfn!! But im just hoping body gets back to normal soon otherwise its another trip to the doctors xx

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 13:13

Oh Lisa they sound adorable! Are they brothers from the same litter?

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 13:16

Sorry for the BFN Lauren.

To Lauren's body: stop messing her around!!

ImpYCelyn · 29/01/2016 13:17

Oops I was away too long!

Congrats Lisa and Daydream! Fab news this month!

Miley your oh sounds adorable Smile

Cthulhoo that's really positive! Fingers crossed it might just be that!

I've been sleeping really badly for a week now and I'm knackered. I'm also headachey and nauseous. I'm due back at school on Monday after three weeks off, but I feel so crap I'm terrified of how I'll cope! My stitches are out at last though!!

Dh and I chatted last night, and we're both on board for the original plan of France in 2017. Someone asked about giving notice, teachers normally have to give half a term's notice. And we'd be moving to a village. There's about 200 people. It quiet and lush. But major city is about a 40 minute drive away, and towns are scattered about.

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/01/2016 13:24

kat I've seen stats somewhere that shows you have a 30-35% of conception 1-2 days before ovulation and less than that 2-5 days before ovulation, and pretty much no chance anytime before that and straight after ovulation.

I just thought that maybe us ladies should be higher than avg because we're actively ttc / looking for best days...but now my head hurts Grin

Congrats again everyone on BFPs Flowers this has been one seriously awesome bus for positive pissy sticks!

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 13:26

Evergreen sorry for confusion, I am actually talking about a small cat - apologies to everyone that thinks I am the worst parent ever. Lucky I didn't tell you about that time I trapped him under an upturned laundry basket for 4 hours no wonder he has mental problems

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 13:29

Zazzles I think that number is for women in the 20-35 age bracket, I believe it decreases gradually with age, but also this number needs to factor in those of us who stupidly DTD when Ovibitch tells us to

ZazzlesTheCat2 · 29/01/2016 13:43

Haha fx oviabitch is definitely decreasing the odds on this bus - totally got my fw wrong last month so I tend to ignore it!

Ni4444 · 29/01/2016 13:47

Get on the temping ladies!

As it's too early to symptom spot at 4dpo I'm driving myself mad looking at chances of getting pregnant this cycle as I now know we dtd the day before ovulation.

Kathrino · 29/01/2016 14:04

Ugh, Impy, I totally sympathise. I'm so exhausted at the moment that it's all I can do to keep from crawling under my desk and going to sleep. I also remember when I went back to work after three weeks off for an operation that it was a real shock to the system. The first day I had to go home mid-afternoon and spend the rest of the day asleep.

Ni, that's an interesting chart although it convinces me more and more that we're not going to be luck this cycle.

I do feel quite sick today which I thought was a good sign until I realised that it probably was more likely related to the wine I consumed last night than anything else...

ImpYCelyn · 29/01/2016 15:59

Oh gosh Kathrino, I'm bracing myself for it Sad I've left all my marking and planning. In a weird way I'm hoping working hard this weekend will shock me back into it, rather than trying to ease myself back!

AliceScarlett · 29/01/2016 16:37

Interesting chart. But I thought swimmers would stay waiting for the egg and what if you ovd at 2am but didn't dtd til 11pm, the egg might have died by then?

Just cross referencing FF and Ovia, Ovia has not taken into account my 29 day cycle and the last 3 days of the FW would be after ov according to FF...I think I'm going to uninstall Ms Ovia, she deserves it.

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 16:47

Thanks for the graph Ni, it came in very handy explaining to DH why he will be called on to perform mid week from now on! Normally we are strictly weekenders! Weekdays only on holiday or once in a blue moon. Annoyingly he kept saying, but we still have a chance? YES BUT A MUCH LESSER CHANCE NOW DO WHAT I SAY!!

Alice you should be able to change your cycle length with ovia, possibly in the settings?

StarkyTheDirewolf · 29/01/2016 16:55

I got the darkest opk I've had so far this cycle this afternoon, I nearly cried I was so happy and over emotional I even showed Dh, he just smiled and said "right! Get your knickers off then!" Romantic and practical I think you'll agree! Have to catch up with the last few pages but I'm thoroughly pleased this week is out of the way!

Congratulations to the bfp'ers! And comiserations to the bfn/af-ers! Get the wine open ladies!

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 17:07

Thanks for the chart Ni I am also confused - I thought the egg survived for 24hrs after Ovulating??? Thus, if you have LH surge it might be 12 - 36 hrs before you actually ovulate, and then a further 24hrs before an unfertilised egg dies. Minimum 36hr window of eggyness, maximum 60hrs?

stardusty5 · 29/01/2016 17:08

Woohoo starky!

Here to catch up with the thread. Hope everyone is looking forward to a lovely weekend

IrregularCommentary · 29/01/2016 17:15

Yaay Starky

Kathrino · 29/01/2016 17:18

I was reading somewhere (I've read so much stuff that I can't even begin to remember where) that if you DTD once you've ovulated, it's generally too late and there's a much better hit rate if the sperm are there waiting for the egg rather than the other way round. I think the egg moves off pretty quickly plus although it can stay alive for up to 24 hours, it doesn't always. I wouldn't have thought that the % went down to 0 though.

Good news on the opk Starky. Sounds like you guys have a busy weekend ahead of you...

Bananarma · 29/01/2016 17:24

Evening ladies haven't read all the way through yet but lots of bfp news!
Congratulations to all bfpsFlowers

Kat can you add me to 31st list please!
