Symptom spotters, tww - ers, slightly hysterical hormone laden ladies! Regs, lurkers, intermittent posters! Our raison d'etre is 'am I pregnant?' Depending on how much Ovia (Whybird) has pissed us off/messed with our fw she is either the oracle or a sanctimonious charlatan.

Just a warning, we move FAST! Our threads last on average, about a week before they're full.

Thread 8 , Welcome one and all! Group of weirdos, wee hoarders, covert opk or okp, depending on what your autocorrect decides addicts with a side business in CM management!

We do not judge, we enjoy TMI, we i encourage waiting to poas nobody listens and all the grossness you can find from a group of intelligent, articulate ladies. Fart stories make us laugh, stories about cervical mucus, pooing, cysts and nausea equally welcome. Although normal conversation is also encouraged.

Post your stats and add your dates. We have a register thanks to kat a resident piss stick queen runner loaaaaaads of bfp'ers who keep us positive! We don't have rules, we love a good symptom spot, we try to stay grounded and not be hysterical sometimes we manage it aswell

We like acronyms, we make some up: PET = Proper expensive test. We love the d(h)...which can of course mean 'dearest' or 'dickhead' why, what were you thinking?

... and if there's no genetic link I don't want to know. In my head canon, conceiving late is in our genes. So there. :-p

Confusedcat1 · 29/01/2016 10:47

Her nipples have disappeared ! No wonder she is concerned the poor thing!

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 10:52

No no theyre still there thankfully
But they were swnsitive and sore for about 2 weeks and soreness has gone now but actual af hasnt arrived yet...
Perosnally think body is playing up Sad

FXSkip · 29/01/2016 10:57

Lauren sounds like hormone fluctuations to me, I wouldn't stress about it. Glad to hear they haven't disappeared as that would be a most concerning symptom.

LisaTheGreek · 29/01/2016 11:00

FXSkip - oh the poor little thing, how horrible. That's so sad, but I'm glad he's getting better, and hopefully will one day feel more comfortable.

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 11:01

Same :) grown rather attached to them ha ha xx
But it has just got me worried as i'm having intermittent bleeding :( xx

Mazza22 · 29/01/2016 11:03

Thanks for all your hellos and I wonder how many more lurkers there are! Take the plunge ladies!

ct that's brilliant, glad things are in pipeline - it never hurts to get ball to get ball rolling. Forget to add in last post, friend has a healthy baby boy of 18m now.

ni I'm only using clue (downloaded and deleted ovia in an hour) and according to that 6th feb would make me a day late - so yes we can be testing buddies if I get that far. My DH is a male starky plus wants to be there when I yest as he knows I've regularly taken random preg tests when we weren't even trying! I'm now totally with starky on not testing before AF due ( maybe something to do with us having long cycles - we'd be bankrupt)

A question ladies - what day do u say is cd1 - I always counted from brown spotting.. Is that right?

Kathrino · 29/01/2016 11:10

I'm another 7th Feb tester although I may crack on the 6th (which is a Saturday). I definitely want to take a test on a Saturday morning rather than any other day so that I have enough time to process it all and don't have to think about work etc for a couple of days!

Congrats daydream on the BFP and welcome Mazza!

Co5mo · 29/01/2016 11:24

Ni I opked, got a nice positive one evening followed by right sided ovulation pain the next morning. Temping would really be a step to far for DH to take. He'd have me sleeping in the spare room!

Not particularly hopeful this month, dtd at the right time but was really unwell 1 dpo so that may well have blown our chances. That doesn't stop me dreaming about implantation bleeding and symptom spotting even before I could possibly have symptoms! TTC makes you crazy.

Hope the move goes well X

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 11:24

Congratulations, daydream!

Mileymoocow · 29/01/2016 11:27

mazza it's first day of proper period for me.

I'm finishing work early and going to John lewis/mothercare etc and it wasn't even my decision 😂 I'm sure DP slept with my frer last night just to check hourly that it was still positive.

cthulhoo I have everything crossed for you! And everyone else here

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 11:28

Ctulhoo I think your aunt is correct, in that early menopause runs in families so late conception suggests ovulatory cycles later in life. I think you tend to inherit from your mum's side (though I am no expert and may also be hereditary from your dad's side). So that is good news if your GM had a full term pregnancy in her mid 40s. How are you feeling today?

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 11:29

Oh Miley, that sounds so lovely! Your OH sounds made up, bless! Smile

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 11:30

Welcome Mazza!

ElleSarcasmo · 29/01/2016 11:34

Laurenowls would it be worth you taking a test if your AF is due about now to set your mind at rest? Was it the combined pill you stopped?

Sorry but I might have sniggered at your nipples disappearing!

Would so love to have a cat...maybe if/when we move to the new house! My friend has the cuddliest and most gorgeous tortoiseshell who loves attention...you can feel all your stress melting away when you cuddle her Smile

Evergreen15 · 29/01/2016 11:36

Daydream GrinI see a line Smile
Oh my!! And look at that first response! Beautiful!!!!!
Ni I agree re tempting. The first cycle I found it stressful, not waking up at the right time, christmas period... But now it is part of my routine and I like knowing when I ovulated to confirm my opks and because there is no way I would be having sex at the right tome otherwise. We have very little (low libido and always busy and tired)

Ahhh but now on 8dpo and bored with waiting

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 11:37

Elle, much better. Still sad and disappointed but not as despondent as I was yesterday. It helps that DP is pretty grounded and he's still optimistic that with the right medication we still have a good chance.

I know that he always wanted a family whereas I've only come round since I've met him - it just all fell into place and I know with absolute certainty that I want to raise children with him. I want this for both of us, and I know he'll be over the moon if and when it happens. But he's also quite clear that he doesn't want a family more than he wants me and that helps to take the pressure off.

I'd just like af to come now so I can stop clinging on to the hope that ovulation and implantation have happened anyway, and can start counting days towards the next test.

Snowdog37 · 29/01/2016 11:39

Wow so many bfps and so much to catch up on!!! Am so behind 😜 It's really hard to read and reply on my phone. Many congrats to the recent grads!
Both Ovia and FF say I'm going to ovulate on Sunday or Monday (cycle day 10/11 early but still ok I hope!) so dh is rallying the troops and from last night to Monday night we are going to do it every night. I've promised him it'll be all about him for the rest of my cycle 😄 So hopefully we will swarm the egg this month.

Laurenowls · 29/01/2016 11:43

elle did one the other day which was an early testing one and nada so think body is having a hissy fit!! Think everyone had a giggle at my disappearing nips!! So did i when i posted xxx

LisaTheGreek · 29/01/2016 11:46

ElleSarcasmo - cats are awesome. You should definitely get one.

Mine love cuddles sometimes, but are generally quite badly behaved and do whatever they want (...actually, they are typical cats).

I've been doing some decorating this week and the smell of the paint doesn't even seem to phase them - they'll come right up and try to sniff the paint brush. The black one managed to brush past a new bit of paint and got himself a white stripe. So daft.... Hmm Thank god it's water-based and I can wipe it off easily....

Ni4444 · 29/01/2016 11:52

co5 I wouldn't think being sick 1dpo would affect anything...the egg and sperm dancing has nothing to do with whether you're ill or healthy. If you were ill around the time of implantation then maybe, but I reckon you have every chance this month!

Miley that's so sweet. My OH is very cautious (Im holidaying with my Mom when I would be 8 weeks if I conceive this cycle and my OH was like "it would be too early to tell her then" "Something might go wrong!") so I don't think we'll be buying anything until late in pregnancy!

Evergreen15 · 29/01/2016 11:55

Co5mo I am 8dpo and so fed up with the wait. No symptoms. Cero. Nada Sad
Lauren if AF due yesterday, can you test?
Fx I suggest next time you clarify your not talking about a toddler "he's actually 11 months now but is absolutely tiny and a bit damaged psychologically due to a rough start in life being raised with a very aggressive dog. He's recovering well, we've had him for 4 months now, but he is very needy and can't be shut out of rooms as he gets very distressed. " I was like errrrrrrr I know we said not to judge in this forum but Hmm

Mazza22 · 29/01/2016 11:57

Hi elle

miley congratulations and that is so sweet about your OH. Had read varying things about when AF starts and now am not so sure when I'm due on! So now thinking to try and go by post ovulation. I had a huge amount of ewmc last sat after a milder build up for a few days so I assume i ovulated sat / sun

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 11:57

Mhm, this one time Dr Internet makes me actually worry less. Looking at some values I find online (e.g., here: www.fertilityplus.com/faq/hormonelevels.html#progesterone) my levels aren't even that bad and not necessarily indicative of non-ovulation. I ovulated (I think) on CD 11. Had my first blood test of 9.3 at 5dpo and the second test of 16.2 at 11dpo which seems to be low but not alarming. I guess if they're working on a cycle of 28 days, CD 22 would still be too early for me. Maybe I still tested on the wrong day? Argh!

I need a responsible adult to tell me to step away from the internet. Blush

Cthulhoo · 29/01/2016 12:02

www.fertilityassociates.co.nz/Information-for-GPs/FSH,-Estradiol---Progesterone.aspx

'Progesterone 3-30 nmol/l – ovulation has occurred > 10 days ago or < 5 days ago, or if ovulation did occur 5-10 days ago, the level is probably not adequate to sustain endometrial growth for satisfactory implantation.'

So assuming that I ovulated around cd 11 and tested at 5dpo that could mean I ovulated; still fits if I then measured at 12dpo which would be outside the 10 days.

I'm going to put myself in time-out now. If I post again, give me a kick.
