And will people stop going to the gym & being generally healthy - you're making me feel bad! Grin

IrregularCommentary · 24/01/2016 17:51

Don't worry Zazzles - my booze intake is way way down but my chocolate intake is through the fucking roof.

Mileymoocow · 24/01/2016 18:04

I'm a gym regular, too. And eat relatively well except since ttc. I blame the stress on me eating almost half a christmas cake since Tuesday. Just had another chat with OH re: names for babies we don't even have yet. Why do I do this to myself?! He is overly excited at the thought of being a dad and the fact that I'm now ready.

Pinklily1 · 24/01/2016 18:16

Hi ladies!

Miley, we've told parents, brother, sister and their families. I've also had to tell my boss and a close work friend, earlier than I would have wanted too, but I've been off sick for a while so they needed to know the real reason. They are keeping it quiet until 12 weeks though.

It is weird how something the size of a raspberry can wreck havoc with your body. The bonus for OH's is the boob growth - if anyone has an OH that is wobbling about TTC and is generally a boob man, entice them with the fact that your boobs will most likely grow to the size of melons once you are upduffed! twinkydink · 24/01/2016 18:16

Kat can you put me down for a 15th Feb test please. That seems like a life time away.

This thread moves very quickly and it is hard to keep up but I love a good read when I haven't been on for a few hours! Dtd every day until Friday started well yesterday. Then DP goes away for two weeks which should technically be our fertile window. But that's based on me having an average 27 day cycle because first one was 30 days and the next was 24 days. So really I have absolutely no idea when by FW is!!!

Snowdog37 · 24/01/2016 18:18

zazzles I'm just going to start dtd earlier too. Last month I felt like we cut it quite fine with the day before and day after. This cycle I'm predicted to O on day 10 again so I want to dtd days 7,9,10,11. Have forewarned dh who has started back at the gym with his best buddy in an attempt to "not die in bed". Ever the optimist!
I'm overweight, trying to get fitter through eating better (5 days a week) and going to the gym more than once a week. It's really hard to get fit when you're so busy and tired just from daily life.

SuchaJem · 24/01/2016 18:22

mileymoo DH and went for a walk yesterday and ended up talking baby names too. Gah it's so tempting to get into convos like this!
That's lovely your fella is so excited. Mine is more terrified. I'm getting a little bit frustrated with it to be honest. He wants it but focuses on the fears / negatives.

Mileymoocow · 24/01/2016 18:30

jem I think he's more impatient than me at the minute probably because I can feel af pains. He's been wanting to try for over a year but I wasn't ready at all. He isn't exactly clued up about what pregnancy entails so I'm sure he'll be just like your OH soon when I start having hissy fits because there's none of the right biscuits left

snow I hear ya. Between work, dogs, spending time with OH and gym I barely have time for much of a social life and when I do go out I feel guilty for drinking! Me and my friends spend a lot of time doing nights in at each others now and I couldn't be happier haha

Cthulhoo · 24/01/2016 18:30

small voice We have discussed baby names too. Middle names, that is. If (and when) it's a boy, his middle name will be David, after DP's late father. If (and when) it's a girl, her middle name will be Edith, after my late gran.
For first names, all bets are still open.

Mileymoocow · 24/01/2016 18:42

cthulhoo I absolutely looove Edith. I really like old fashioned names he said no to beatrix if we have a boy, middle name has to be Robert (family thing on his side). My family and his all have crappy girl names so if DD then she will have no connection to any of our names 😂

I need it to be test day for someone. I have positive pissy stick cravings

Feefeefs · 24/01/2016 18:47

Mine is like that too suchajem excel financial spreadsheets and due date calculators come out and he worries. Apparently though he's really looking forward to the mood swing tho! I'm normally fairly easy going and dislike conflict whereas he loves a good row so I think he's looking forward to a bit of irrational behaviour!

I like you middle names chutloo classic

Ni4444 · 24/01/2016 18:52

Hi Pink! We miss you! Give us some of your knowledge! What's the best snack you've found for nausea?

Ladies I had my friends 6month old in my arms throughout brunch! I bet people thought she was mine-shes so cute and cuddly! Thankfully both friends know we're ttc so they know I'm broody to fuck!

Finally succeeded in dtd! I feel so relieved! totally right feefeefs Caught the peak I'm hoping! We'll see if bbt rises tomorrow Grin

Pyxie · 24/01/2016 19:05

I tested this morning at 11dpo (I know, I'm weak!) Bfn, and no symptoms so I'm not too hopeful for this cycle. Af due Thurs so I'm just going to wait and see if the bitch shows.

Love the name Edith!

Planeteer · 24/01/2016 19:05

cthulhoo miley and such we've just had the super early names chat as well. DH instigated it, which was v sweet, but then after about 2 mins of vaguely sensible ideas he's gone down the 'ooh, what about BATMAN?!?!' route.
Edith is lovely Smile

Runner05 · 24/01/2016 19:09

Best snack I've found for nausea is liquorice allsorts. Ginger did nothing for me.
If you feel nauseous when you drink water, twister ice lollies are brilliant for getting some moisture.
The best tip with pregnancy nausea though is to not, under any circumstances, to let yourself get so much as peckish. Eat before you feel even slightly hungry because hunger = nausea every time. With mild nausea you can fend it off nearly completely by grazing all the time, yes you will feel like a cow chewing the cud but it's much better than the alternative Smile

Oh and for some people sea bands will help with mild nausea, they worked for me for three or four days to begin with.

Kathrino · 24/01/2016 19:09

I love Edith too but I don't think it goes with DH's surname sadly. The more I've been thinking about it, the more awkward I think his name is so I might try and convince him that we should give any hypothetical children my name. I can't imagine that conversation is going to go hugely well.

Mileymoocow · 24/01/2016 19:11

planet batman isn't too ludicrous if you consider my 5 year old niece has a kid in her class called Shakira beau and another called sunshine blossom completely true story

Af cramps like fuuuuck tonight. I also have the smallest amount of lovely creamy nipple discharge wtf which is completely new to me. Only noticed because I felt it peel away from my nip when I took my bra off. Wow, I'm sexy.

Pinklily1 · 24/01/2016 19:12

I second Runner with the never letting yourself get sick point!

The only other thing that has worked for me randomly is crumpets with raspberry jam!

Edith is a beautiful name.

Kwick709 · 24/01/2016 19:40

very behind on reading and posting... apologies!

Laurenrl well done you! Congratulations Star

Moggysinger · 24/01/2016 19:44

Just wanted to say - this thread is by far the best out there kat! I did my research first re which one to join but in the end it was a no brainer. We might as well be brutally open about our cm and bodily functions - it's not as if we know each other in real life and who else can we share the cray cray with?! I particularly enjoy starkys tmi as it's always splattered with humour and well, tmi! Grin

ElleSarcasmo · 24/01/2016 19:45

Nipple discharge Miley?! Wtf? What day are you due to test?

ElleSarcasmo · 24/01/2016 19:49

Zazzles did you try soy this month? Did you feel ok on it? Snow you said it had improved your Ov symptoms didn't you? Might give it a whirl next cycle.

Ni I know what you mean, I felt a bit tired and emotional earlier. Lots going on at work over the last few weeks. Glad you managed to DTD anyway!

Hi Pink, lovely to hear about your raspberry! Hope the crapness passes soon.

Ni4444 · 24/01/2016 19:59

Elle I've had incredibly obvious ovulation symptoms this month...AF type cramps, pelvic i swear I could almost feel my follicles swelling! I remember a friend on ivf saying that and I thought she was mad!, backache, increased appetite, seriously wet down there, totally like a loved up doey eyed dope towards my OH Fri and yest! I'm putting it down to acupuncture!

Mileymoocow · 24/01/2016 20:03

elle not until 28th/29th/2nd who knows! It was more of a cream than liquid discharge. I won't lie, I was in half a mind to show you all but thought it inappropriate.

ElleSarcasmo · 24/01/2016 20:05

Ooh really Ni? That is very interesting! Acupuncture sounds intriguing, lots going on ATM so have shelved it along with soy for the moment...maybe next cycle. My DH might be a little bit scared though! Wink
