Yay Trying!!! It really has been a long wait for you. So exciting to finally start! Can't wait to hear all about this journey. This will work!!!

I know I can't quite believe it either... As in, it hasn't hit me. And I can only describe the last 8 weeks as the most painfully slow two months of my life. I've counted every single day. Thank god I measured 5 days ahead in the end lol. I've arranged a nuchal scan for Friday with blood tests but not for gender. I know an extra £500 doesn't seem like much with all these expenses but I guess we feel as long as baby is healthy- who cares about gender! I've been using my doppler everyday for reassurance so at the moment I'm focusing on Fridays scan showing healthy baby with no issues. If all goes well we're telling DH's parents that night... It's earlier than we would have wanted to but it's her birthday, and she so badly wants to be a grandmother that it seems cruel not to tell if all looks promising. No one else knows... No family or friends!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 02/02/2016 20:57

Hi sonia, sorry you find yourself here but I echo drttc that there are so many options to consider before giving up.

trying at last!!!! It's going to happen!

drttc time really slows down doesn't it, but you're nearly there. Do you like your Doppler? I think about getting one everyday but DH said it would fuel my paranoia and every time the medics use it they feel where jelly fish is first and then use it so I could picture myself raking it around my abdomen frantically trying to find her.

Met consultant today (after two hour wait at the hospital Angry). Took five minute to use Doppler and ask questions then said 'everything's great, come back to see me in seven weeks'.

Drttc · 02/02/2016 21:39

Hey Snoopy! I must admit I like my Doppler. I tried using it quite early at 9 weeks as I heard it was possible but tbh it was really frustrating and I didn't really have success until around 10 weeks. Now it's so much easier, but sometimes does take a few minutes. Just listened to it right now and it does calm me... Scanxienty rears it's head again! Question: How did you wean off your cyclogest? I'm having trouble remembering the instructions :(

That's terrible that they made you wait that long! What the heck?! Ugh I'm becoming very anti NHS which I'm not proud of... As we've moved I needed to register at a new GP a few weeks ago and told them I needed my referral for a nuchal scan (as you know it's done before 14 weeks) , and the lady was SO rude, could not care less, and told me to try another GP if it was that important. I've had to book my scan privately which is 'fine', but what really bothered me was their complete disregard... Anyways! How many weeks are you now :) ?

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 03/02/2016 07:04

'If it's that important'!!!! Damn right after what we've been through these milestones are important to us and the health of the beans! How bloody rude!

With the cyclogest I was quite naughty because Dr s told me I didn't need it anymore and I could just stop but I was too scared to do that and started cutting in half the supply I still had and weaned myself off of it. I can't remember how many weeks I was but I'm 25+ 3 now.

One of my colleague's wife had a miscarriage yesterday at 15 weeks Sad

Drttc · 03/02/2016 07:45

Omg Snoopy that is absolutely devastating about your work colleagues wife Sad ... No one is ever 'safe' are they. I can't imagine what they must be going through and no one should ever have to. Was there any cause/reasoning given?

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 03/02/2016 08:18

He's on compassionate leave at the moment but from what I understand she had at least one miscarriage before and this time she had really bad abdominal pains and went to the hospital, saw heartbeat and didn't appear to have any problems and then in in the car on the way home her waters broke and she passed baby. so awful.

Drttc · 03/02/2016 08:27

That sounds like incompetent cervix... Horrible :(

Seekingmiracles · 03/02/2016 08:57

Hey trying, so happy you finally start down regging next week. Everything is crossed for you!! Now try to relax, take it easy and stay positive Smile
Drttc - sorry your new surgery is so rubbish!! I've thrown the miscarriage card at my go receptionist a few times -it's amazing what they can suddenly fit in or do for you. Keep pushing!
Snoopy that's soo sad about your colleagues wifeSad life is shit at times!!
Sonia, welcome on board hun (it's LWink). Don't give up the fight, where there's a will there's a way!! You know that R and I are here for you and if work gets too stressful just shout. Your sanity and mental health is more important. We keep everything crossed for you and hope your results show that the drugs have had an effect. The ladies on this board are amazingly supportive and knowledgeable so if you have any questions or need some place to rant you know where to come Smile

billy15 · 03/02/2016 14:42

Hi ladies

Welcome Sonia. You're doing the right thing by getting treatment, and you'll get some great care and advice I'm sure.

Drttc I'm so excited for you! Keep us updated on the scan.

Snoopy that sounds completely horrific for you colleagues wife!

Trying so excited for you too! I hope you're feeling as calm and positive as possible, and taking good care of yourself. You know you can get pg so it's looking so positive for you!

I hope I haven't missed anyone!

AF finally came on Sunday (cd50)- never been so pleased to see her! I'll go for my second hormone test tomorrow and try to take it on the chin if its bad news. I'm actually feeling more positive about things in general and think, in a funny way, that having this break from ttc has done me some good. I've realised I really need to enjoy life more!! RMC certainly takes the joy out of life! I also realise how I need to control my stress levels more. I'm hoping that me and DH can book a little holiday soon - first proper one for years Smile. And try not to let ttc take over! (famous last words!)

Hugs to you all xx

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 03/02/2016 15:55

Yeah billy! Fingers crossed all of the tests come back fine. A holiday sounds like a good idea, there's nothing like a couple of weeks of total relaxation to take your mind off of all this.

Sonia2979 · 03/02/2016 17:03

Thank you for the supportive messages, i'm normally positive however its a completely different story when I am due to start my period. I have cut gluten out from my diet so lets see if that helps.

Tryingno1 · 03/02/2016 17:46

Hi Sonia welcome. Sorry to hear of ur struggles. Don't give up hope! I'm also having ivf alongside immune tx (although my problem is miscarriages, dh sperm is why we need Ivf) and mr shehata sees plenty of ladies like u. He will be honest with his thoughts on how he can help. Now that ur on this route u will find ur way! A lot of unexplained mc and infertility is thought to be immune related so fingers crossed u will have success once mr s has a plan for u!

Tryingno1 · 03/02/2016 17:46

Billy glad af here! And hope bloods r ok.

Seeking when r u testing and when is ur hycosy?

Tryingno1 · 03/02/2016 18:06

Ps Sonia - there was a girl called freelance on this thread and mr s told her that she am had one of the highest levels - hers were similar to u. She was having mc too(not infertility)

She now has 2 boys!!!!

:)

The body works in strange ways and immune side of stuff isn't full understood yet, so try stay hopeful if u can ( hard I know)

Seekingmiracles · 03/02/2016 19:54

Glad af came Billy SmileI'm sure your blood results will come back fine and it was just a wonky cycle.
Test next week Trying. Not hopeful, I've become very accustomed to seeing a bfn! If it is then I need to go in for blood tests cd1-3, HyFosy cd6-10 and follicle scan cd10-12!! If I can time HyFosy and follicle scan for the same day it would be perfect!

Tryingno1 · 03/02/2016 20:20

Oh busy month for u :)
Hycosy is fine I had one when wasn't getting my bfp as worried re tubes too. Obv u prob know of all the "stories" of people suddenly getting preggers after having it! Sure that and SO will do the trick soon enough. U have been waiting long enough!!!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 03/02/2016 20:43

Erm I'm a bit dumb, the hycosy is the one with the dye isn't it? Sounds like you've got all your bases covered seeking, hopefully the tests won't be necessary.

trying you must be so excited!

Tryingno1 · 03/02/2016 21:01

Excited and relieved as waited so long but scared and petrified as to my mental health if this doesn't work!!!
I literally can't imagine being heavily preg?!! It's like I'm trying this to convince myself it's not meant to be?! Can't explain. I obv have some hope but mainly just fear!

Seekingmiracles · 03/02/2016 21:31

Yeah I've read that Trying. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, I just want it to happen soon! Like you though I can't imagine being fat and pregnant! It seems too far to even dream that we could get there. But we will!
I bet you're so relived that it's finally about to all kick off for you. Scary but exciting!

sunnyday01 · 04/02/2016 08:40

Hi everyone, hope all is ok. Welcome to the newbie's hopefully you find lots of support here.

sonia - my levels were quite high - total count was over 600, 38% cytoxicity, and 1.38. I Was also told mine were high - that was 20 months ago and I've just had a baby boy, so there is hope! I had pred, Intralipids and hydroxy. Will never know if the drugs made the dufference but I just stuck to the plan despite having a mc on the treatment.

billy15 · 04/02/2016 09:29

Thanks seeking trying snoopy yes fingers crossed it was just an off one! I guess Ill be able to tell more how this cycle goes.

Hi sunny How long did it take you to have a successful pregnancy?

sunnyday01 · 04/02/2016 09:41

Billy - I had my first mc in jan 2013 and another in October 2013. Saw Dr S in July 2014 and started his treatment plan along with SO in Seotember 2014. Got pregnant in Jan 2015 but had a mc at 6 weeks. Continued to try naturally without SO and got oregnsnt again in April 2015.

Sonia2979 · 04/02/2016 11:13

sunnyday01 - that is great news, your stats are very similar to mine.
Tryingno1 - I'm seeing Dr S again on the 22nd to get my results, hopefully the steroids and intraplids have had a positive impact. Fingers crossed!

billy15 · 04/02/2016 11:33

Thanks sunny That's wonderful that you had your little boy! I hope it's all going well for you.

Sonia good luck with you appointment.

Panda1985 · 04/02/2016 21:41

Just realised I posted on the old thread...so reposting Smile

Hi Ladies, hope you're well!
I posted a while back as I was going to have the NK biopsy at Coventry and have just had my results back.
My count was 14.38% with normal being 5% as I'm sure you know. So obviously high but I am just wondering if this is stupidly high? I can't seem to find much about ranges online. Got my telephone consultation on Tuesday but would really welcome any knowledge you may have.
Thanks!
