natty - how you doing? its coming up to crunch time for you isn't it? GOOD LUCK! i hope you wont be having any ketchup with your steak this month and for the next 8 months after that!................sorry! ..................i have been reading the AF thread!

3cats and BBW - perfect timing for you this month by the look of it!

cityangel - sorry about 'anal sex week' arriving (sorry! i cant help myself!), it must be a real shitter for you cos your cycle was so long this time. did i read somewhere you are going to go to your gp?

cityangel · 04/02/2007 22:04

Hey greedy I like you... straight to the point

Its actually BJ week TMI but making me lol whilst watching TV and quietly surfing certainly got dh's attention.

Yes off to GP on 16th. Just find it irritating that if you have a recurring problem eg back pain off you go to get it fixed but somehow you are meant to wait a whole year before infertility is considered more than a matter of time. [rant over]

You're right about the cycle. I am lucky in several respects... get LH surge, BMI ok, no period pain, 4 day periods... but the length of my last cycle quite literally wasted time.

How about you? What are your plans, worries hopes for this month?

3catsoo hows it going?

greedyforbabies · 04/02/2007 22:55

cityangel - were you asking me my plans, worries and hopes? i got my BFP did you know? so my worries are holding on to it. have an early scan tomorrow at 3pm, so just want to see all is hopefully ok.

talking of BJs........that is what i have promised my dh tonight.....................................hence why i am still on here at the mo! not in the mood yet!

cityangel · 05/02/2007 00:07

Hey greedy go for it [whenever you are in the mood!]

I guess your worries and plans have moved on fingers crossed.

I must admit to being confused this month as loads of MNers seem to have got BFP while I was away but haven't left the ttc threads.

Please stay in touch when you do leave

Natty1806 · 05/02/2007 07:35

Massive temp drop today, spotting and cramps so AF will arrive tomorrow. Which means i will be on my period when i am due for my lap & dye + ov drilling so will need to ring hospital and see what they say.

xx

greedyforbabies · 05/02/2007 13:56

i cant quite bring myself to leave the ttc threads yet, i know i should but i feel as if i know all of you and i dont know hardly anyone on the an threads.

sorry to hear that natty, ov drilling sounds painful, what does it do?

Natty1806 · 05/02/2007 15:20

Hi greedy

yeah stick around

Ov drilling puts small holes in your ovaries as they kinda get blocked up with cysts with PCOS.

I rang them today and they said that as i would be on i would not be allowed the operation due to the dye test. If i re book it will be June, they did say speak to GP who might be able to put me on something to stop my period, so seeing doctor tomorrow to discuss so it sounds like no clomid for me and no ttc until after the op

iwillbepgbydec07 · 05/02/2007 15:24

greedy sorry about the chart thing
i have emailed now and gonna try and correct it so let me know if it works.

geekInPigtails · 05/02/2007 15:36

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time. I was just so disappointed when AF arrived last Monday, that I really needed a bit of a break from MNet and all things TTC. Fortunately (in a way) work was pretty hectic last week anyway, so it wasn't too hard to take my mind off things for a while, and I'm starting to feel more positive again. We've just booked a night away in a nice looking hotel for next Saturday too, as a sort of early Valentines thing which we're really looking forward to, and it just happens to coincide with the crucial BDing time for this cycle! ;)

So just popping in to let you know that I'm alive, and I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread even if I'm not posting that often - I'd miss you guys too much if I didn't! Not sure I'm going to introduce myself on the Feb thread though, I really want to keep this month a bit more low-key and relaxed.

geekInPigtails · 05/02/2007 15:40

Oh Natty that sounds so frustrating! A doctor once diagnosed me with PCOS when I had irregular AF for a couple of months when I was 18. But it was literally a couple of months around the time I first went to university, and they've been pretty regular (like 27-30 days with about one exception!) ever since, so I'm hoping he was over-reacting. If I hit the one year mark with no BFP, I'll mention it to the doctor though. How long have you known about it, and how much does it affect things? (if you don't mind me asking!)

Ready · 05/02/2007 15:50

Great to hear from you Geekinpigtails, I looked at your chart this morning and wondered where you were. fingers crossed that your romantic night in the hotel does the trick!!

Natty, I am sorry to hear about the op (hug) There is a drug called norethisterone that postpones your period. I took it for my honeymoon so I could enjoy myself fully ... not sure if it affects ttc though? Hope you can get re-booked soon. What a pain.

Natty1806 · 05/02/2007 16:11

Thanks girls

Ready - think it might stop ttc because if i do not know when AF will arrive i could be pregnant and it i had the op whilst pregnant or about to be say fro example 7DPO i will be washing it away with the dye etc. We shall see what GP says tomorrow.

Geek - only found out last year after ttc for 6 months and having very irrgular periods. Had blood tests that came back fine but when i had my scan to see how i responded to clomid it showed slight POCOS.

Unless you have had test to confirm it i would say you are fine.

How long you been trying now?

Ready · 05/02/2007 16:13

Oh crikey Natty, I hadn't thought about that. Probably best to chat with your GP (hugs)

3catstoo · 05/02/2007 20:25

Hi everyone.

Sorry about AF Geek. That hotel sounds like a good idea.

Natty, how frustrating for you. Has AF actually arrived now?
Big hugs to you.

A question about OPKs........... do you only ever get one positive in a cycle?
I've been doing them since early last week and after 4 -ves I got a +ve but then the next day (well 3 days) I got -ves again. Does that mean that I ov'd on that day as I didn't get a positive the following day either?
I am still testing just in case it was a blip and I haven't really Ov'd yet.

I'll tell you my funny pre seed tale when DH is not here.

Must dash now.

MrsMcJnr · 05/02/2007 20:42

Popping in to check on you all and say hi

Ammylovesbabies are you the same as AmmylovesOlivia? I?m getting confused. Thank for you your kind thoughts for me and beanie

3cats ? hope your weekend was busy Re the OPKs I always thought a _ive after a +ive meant the event had happened. Looking forward to the pre-seed story!

Greedy ? goodness! what got into you over the weekend you filthy minx, it?s that no alcohol beer I reckon I know what you mean about moving away from these threads. I may be disillusioned but I feel like I still have help and re-assurance to give here and on the AN threads, most people seem so confident and so few are having their first baby that I feel my questions, worries and fears are really silly

Cityangel ? hope you are ok hon, I know that frustration, let?s hope it?s just an odd cycle and that things will get back to normal now.

Oh Natty what a pain for you hon, I really hope that this doesn?t throw the timing out for you, let us know how you get on with the GP. I was thinking about you earlier and remembered that the L&D was soon. I hope you get it and it all goes well. Keep me posted. Fingers crossed.

Hey Geek ? the weekend away sounds perfect I hope you come back with a souvenir

Hiya

Not had time to chart spot for a few days, will do it at the weekend.

AF arrived this morning. Will let you know how i get on with gp this afternoon.

xx

3catstoo · 06/02/2007 09:53

That's what I thought about the opks too MrsMc.

Sorry about AF Natty.

I can't seem to get it right with the Pre seed. This time I used the whole tube. I think it may have been too much as DH was slip sliding everywhere and it took 10 times longer than usual to get the job done . I think it effected the sensation for him, iyswim. He found it quite funny really.
It seems like there is nothing and he gets very sore or theres too much and it takes forever. I'm so unfit!!!

How does everyone else get on with it, if you don't mind me asking?

I use half a tube but find it hard getting it all in and hate the noises it makes - not very romantic. x

Ready · 06/02/2007 14:08

I had been thinking about giving pre-seed a go... not sure I want to now

geekInPigtails · 06/02/2007 14:57

You're all disgusting!

Natty, I think I'm just into my 8th cycle of trying, though it may be 7th, I'm starting to have trouble remembering! How depressing is that... Well when I saw the doctor 9 years ago I did a blood test, so it must have been pretty certain that I at least had ONE cyst, but given how regular my cycles have been since I think either I had PCOS and it's gone away, or I never really had full blown PCOS and just had one or two cysts... (sorry if TMI!) But not being medical or knowing anything about what the blood test is actually detecting, I could be being overly optimistic.

Sorry guys, haven't had time to chart spot in ages, and still don't now! I'll try to come back this evening and have a look.
