Anyone ttc baby #2?

Hi everyone,

I'm new here, ttc baby #2 (1st cycle) and already driving myself wild with the tww. I wondered if anyone else is in the same boat?

I was so relaxed about baby #1 that the constant nagging thoughts about am I / aren't I are completely new to me and are making me feel anxious with symptom spotting.

Thought I'd see if there is anyone to talk to on here as my husband is quite matter of fact about there being nothing we can do to find out except for being patient - I know, he's infuriating right.

It'd be great to buddy up if anyone else is in a similar position.

Hi Gx at least you know what's going on now and can plan for next month (even though it's so disappointing when AF arrives).

For me the spotting has stopped, I did a cheeky test last night and convinced myself that I could see a line then went into another room and couldn't see anything in that light. Just wishful thinking I think or hopefully just to early to test. AF due on Thursday so will now wait to test.

I have felt bloated and crampy for a few days so not sure if my body is just gearing up for AF.

Gx91 · 13/10/2015 16:12

Thanks becks , the spotting could b a gd sign of IB , sorry to say but I think u many have to wait til AF due to get a positive Preg test but wishing u all the best for that day! Xxg

Gx91 · 13/10/2015 16:15

Fuzzy owl , u maybe still get pregnant if u dtd a few days ago as sperm can survive for a while X hopefully the pain subsides so u can enjoy urself later ! Xxg

FuzzyOwl · 13/10/2015 16:20

Thanks Gx. Last dtd on Sat morning, so not really hopeful as I think it was too long away. Going to take some painkillers, have a bath and grit my teeth! Smile

Gx91 · 13/10/2015 16:25

Lol the things us women have to go through eh !? I'd b the same lol tell him it's to be a quicky Wink X

jp0303 · 13/10/2015 17:38

Never mind Gx91, here's to next month for you Wineenjoy your wine!

Becks I hope Thursday comes around quickly for you, it's awful when it's coming up to AF / POAS time and the days start draaaaaagging on, it's like being in a time warp! Fingers crossed for you.

Hope you're not too uncomfortable Fuzzy and feel better soon.

I'm back into waiting for ovulation, I've decided to take a leaf out of Loki's book and try to relax more this month. I'm not starting the OPKs, it's only my second month of ttc so I'm going to try to enjoy it and see how it goes. Me and dh are enjoying trying and I will just have to try to keep chilled for the tww, which is the bit that I struggle with!

jp - ill hold your hand through the tww! I hate it do much! But, because I'm not using opks I'm going to hope that I will just carry on dtd because I won't be sure if I've ov'd or not! Hopefully that will take my mind off testing because I will still feel like I've got a job to do!

jp0303 · 13/10/2015 20:03

Thanks Loki, we can help each other through it and hopefully both be like SmileSmile instead of going crazy!

Thanks jp and hope you aren't waiting long.

I am another one who hates the tww - not helped by the fact that I start imagining symptoms before I even ovulate!!

DizzyMerry · 13/10/2015 21:27

Hi everyone Smile can I join in?

We conceived our DD after 3 years of ttc. I have endo and conceived a year after having it all removed just before IVF treatment started. Got my second bfp on cycle 16 but sadly had an mmc at the end of last month. We're back to ttc now.

I hate the tww with a passion, had too many of them and they just drag on and on! I'm not tracking anything as don't know where I am post mmc so will just dtd eod and see what happens. Will start temping and doing opks when AF arrives but really hoping it doesn't!

FuzzyOwl · 13/10/2015 22:43

Hi Dizzy . I also suffer from endo. After my mmc I don't think I ovulated in my first cycle and the couple after that were all over the place and involved lots of pre and post spotting, but I did still successfully get pregnant afterwards. I really hope you quickly get your BFP and have a smooth pregnancy.

DizzyMerry · 13/10/2015 23:04

I have read that some people have an anovulatory cycle post mc fuzzy. The sonographer could see a follicle on my right ovary but they weren't forthcoming with info whether it's ov time and just said some people have follicles all the time. Have you had surgery for your endo? I had a cyst last year but was rescanned a few months later and it had resolved and thankfully none since but I still do get heavy and painful periods.

HoggleHoggle · 14/10/2015 06:47

Hi dizzy, welcome. Hoping for a bfp for you!

FuzzyOwl · 14/10/2015 07:12

No surgery Dizzy. The pill helped a lot so it was only when I came off it to ttc that I went to the doctor and by the time it came around to surgery, I was pregnant.

beckslovestimmy · 14/10/2015 16:19

Well AF due tomorrow, it's taking all my power not to POAS today! Going to try and hold of until Friday as I'm working a 12hr shift tomorrow so that should take my mind off it. My boobs are still a bit tender and that's not a usual symptom before AF and I've had a skin break out after not having a spot for months. Fingers and toes crossed now!!

Vikkijayne2507 · 14/10/2015 16:40

Hey ttc number 2 here currently just into fertile window and doing every other day dtd cycle 4 technically but month 2 of proper cycles and afs.

Hopingfortwo · 14/10/2015 18:22

Hi All,

I was looking online about ttc #2 and stumbled across this thread. I read from start to finish and thought how lovely and supportive you all seemed. Soooo I'd like to join in with the positivity!!!

Congrats to all those that got their BFP, hopefully your baby dust will rub off on us all still waiting.

A bit about me. I'm 29, hubby is 35 and our cherub just turned 3. She was planned but came a few years early Wink

I monitored my cycle last month and found the OPK reliable with my symptoms of ovulation (side twinges) I bought cheapies for the fun of POAS and saved the CB for when I suspected I'd ovulated, I got the Grin after the positive cheapie OPK

So now I am on a mission!! CD2 and on the evening primrose to help the wee swimmers. I'm hoping to catch quick and aiming for a July 2016 babe.

That's the plan, we'll see what actually happens!!!

jp0303 · 14/10/2015 20:52

Hello newbies, lovely to see you all joining us Smile I'm a believer in our positive vibes for each other translating into positive tests! Good luck to each of you for this month.

Hoping AF leaves you alone tomorrow Becks and that you get good news on Friday!

Hey to all newcomers good luck for this month ! Smile
Hopingfortwo-I'm also hoping for a July baby ! Also in cycle day 2 Smile so we can pull each other through ! This site has been a godsend so far ! Xxg

Loki17 · 14/10/2015 21:30

I'm on CD5. Waiting for AF to finish - feels like it's dragged on forever!

TattieHowkerz · 14/10/2015 22:17

Good luck everyone who is waiting to POAS! Still have a good while to go so putting it to the back of my mind. Though a July/August baby would be great so. Could me on mat leave when DD starts school!

Hopingfortwo · 15/10/2015 09:39

Awww thanks girls!!

Gx91 would be great to spur each other on. I plan on whipping the cheapies out on CD10 but I am determined not to stress and overthink during the tww. That will drive me bonkers!! Plus I'll be turning 30 so hopefully will get distracted enough!! How long have you been trying? I have read the thread but can't remember names (and on a tiny phone!)

Tattie, how old will your LO be in September? My dd will be turning 4 in September but have just realised she'll be too young. I was hoping to also be on MAT leave when she started school. Just for logistics, I could dedicate some time to the new babe but life can't be planned to that much detail I guess...

TattieHowkerz · 15/10/2015 21:23

hoping DD was 4 in the summer, we are in Scotland so she will start school next August, when she is 5.

Loki17 · 15/10/2015 21:33

AF is almost over. My head is starting to scream 'I want a baby!' again! Glad I threw away all of my remaining opks because I can feel myself falling into an obsessive pattern! I will stay calm! Grin

beckslovestimmy · 15/10/2015 22:19

Well no AF today. I think I will test in the morning. Scared now because I don't want to see a negative!! Confused
