Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Tink, your GP remains awesome Grin

Country Sad I'd love to see a BFP to cheer you up Wine

Lil, great news! Surround that egg!

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 03/07/2015 22:49

To join in with the catness, I like cats. But cannot have one as DH is allergic bastard

I am resisting the urge to eat the contents of my fridge and cupboards - not a symptom of anything ovary/vagina related, just me being silly earlier on and having white bread at lunch time. I don't know how but it triggers something in me! I eat sugar/refined carbs and my appetite goes crazy!!

lildottie · 03/07/2015 22:55

I almost always get ov pain thurs but never for this long. I'm on agony. my happiness at early ovulation has long gone and has been replaced by despair!

country sorry things are going tits up. r u OK?

CountryGal4 · 03/07/2015 23:00

Thanks guys. lil yeah I'm ok just a feeling a bit worn down

Illiria · 03/07/2015 23:10

Lil - yay for the kink

Carrot - yay for the bfp.

Nfmv - nothing, was told no dtd for 5 days :-( DH is away next week so this month looks like a bust.

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 04/07/2015 02:10

Watching clips of "the chase" on you tube......I haven't laughed so much in ages!!! Whenever I've had a bad day I'm going to come home and watch these!!

ThursdayLast · 04/07/2015 07:50

So already this morning I've managed to take offence at DH buying extra things for our BBQ at the weekend, and by my sister seemingly blaming me for her fear of storms Confused

Fair to say I'm not at my most reasonable today.

Hope you're all alright?

Tinkfromlovejoy · 04/07/2015 09:02

carrot wot lil said. prolactinoma. Tiny one. Smile (and pcos although my bloods tests normal now and I have regular cycles so I consider myself cured of that, but I digress, pcos can cause high prolactin too).

blackcat also wot lil said. Basically I have the fear. I have bad anxiety surrounding medical stuff so for that reason, amongst many others, I wouldn't cope. My preference would be to apply to adopt before I did IVF. Lovely gp agrees with me, as does Dh and dps. For clarity, I think IVF is an amazing thing. But, it has to be right for you.

thursday hope you're ok. Stand down viroid.... Grin

Need to google the chase.

Il's are here. We all got hammered last night. Now they have a busy day for us all planned, culminating in a pub dinner (also incorporating a pub lunch). I swear if they weren't so frightfully posh they'd never get away with drinking this much! Wish me luck pray for my liver

Fanks lil, your memory is good! Thank God he's managed a bit of the sex. We tried last night but were far too pissed. The idea was we would open the curtains and watch the lightening whilst shagging. The reality was that everything was either dry, sore or floppy Grin and when I saw the extent of the lightening I had to bring tinkerdog into our room as she hates it. the cats are double hard bastards

Tinkfromlovejoy · 04/07/2015 09:23

Oh and chat I know, she's the best Smile

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 04/07/2015 09:50

Ooh dear thursday what brought this on?

tink "the chase" is a quiz show hosted by Bradley Walsh. He often gets into a state of laughter while reading some of the questions (he has a juvenile sense of humour) - it's really funny, mostly because laughter is infectious. You just can't help laughing along!!

Also tink your gp does sound wonderful. How have you managed to get all of these tests done. All of my gps (both surgeries I've been at so far don't allocate you a specific gp - you just see who's free) have refused to do blood tests for pcos or insulin resistance. They just gave me an ultrasound and threw metformin at me!! Lol

I don't think I would want to have IF either - it's a lot to put yourself through. Thankfully dh and I haven't had to have that chat. We have DD and I consider ourselves incredibly lucky.

( praying for tinks liver )

louwn · 04/07/2015 10:21

Can I join please? I am not doing anything like temping, using OPKs etc, just having sex every couple of days. I'm 30, TTC#1, cycle 3.

ThursdayLast · 04/07/2015 10:36

Hello louwn!

It's ok everyone, I went to parkrun and ran it out of my system. The sun is shining down here in Cornwall and I managed to get the last stuff j need for tomorrow. So I've got my hormones back under control Grin

tink I'm not really praying for your liver- I'm too jealous of your gin-soaked weekend.

lildottie · 04/07/2015 13:57

also praying for tinks liver Grin

thurs glad your back in control!

I don't know how but I got more jizz this morning fun fact morning jizz has higher sperm count supposedly. Grin

SecondCupOfTea · 04/07/2015 15:42

Crikey lil you're getting proper topped up this week!

Got some jizz myself this morning, but seeing as I'm on CD28 it was purely recreational Grin

Tinkfromlovejoy · 04/07/2015 18:43

Welcome louwn make yourself comfortable Smile

Af is here! And I am fine! Something is very wrong with this picture Hmm

lil sotw (shagger of the weekend) is yours for the taking!

cold I've had years of being palmed off with metformin and not having proper tests. The best advice I can offer is to change GP. My GP is new to our very small rural practice but she is on the board at our local fc and has a special interest in reproductive medicine. I just got lucky. i feel for you, I spent 5 years being told I just needed to take metformin and was too young to worry about it. Then at 32 suddenly I got a new GP that actually cared and realised I am bordering on geriatric in terms of my fertility and prone to exaggeration

lildottie · 04/07/2015 20:32

thanks tink, opk was + this am and - pm. I think today is o day so could do with jumping him again tomorrow but don't suppose I'll get away with it!

tea Grin

ColdFeetWarmHeart · 05/07/2015 01:29

So many gp's don't understand pcos, tink you are lucky (though im sure youd rather not have it full stop!!) and very few have any clue how to treat it or what tests are needed.
I do need to change Dr's actually, as we have moved. First gp said I definitely didn't have pcos, despite an ultrasound and laparoscopy showing cysts (they were looking for endometriosis), me never having regular periods, weight gain, acne etc. Last gp's confirmed I had it but gave no info, just metformin. I'd like to know how to manage it better, not just for the fertility side of things, but to feel better too. Do you find you have digestive issues as well? I seem to have ibs type flare ups at the same time as pcos flare ups. I'm convinced they are connected!!!

I'm annoyed with dh tonight. No that's not far to say. I'm just not bothered that he's fallen asleep on the sofa, and I definitely don't fancy a shag tomorrow. Would rather get on with some housework.
think I'm going to wait for him to initiate the next shag anyway.....see how long it takes!!!!

SecondCupOfTea · 05/07/2015 09:16

Erm....did the little one, thought I saw a very faint line (but it hadn't appeared after 5 mins so I binned it, then looked again 10 mins later). So waited two hours for pee to brew back up, and did the larger test. I'm convincing myself I'm seeing things. Will get a FRER when the shops open.

There was a viroid named Just, who was all wanton and lust. But her fanjo's a numpty, so she named it country, and they have a skittletits bust! It's JSing 50!!
lildottie · 05/07/2015 09:50

I don't think u need the frer tea! congrats, u r upduffed! stats!

OP posts:
ColdFeetWarmHeart · 05/07/2015 09:50

I can definitely see a line on the larger stick tea, if I squint at the ic I can just about make one out. Are you on way to the shops now? They open in 10 minutes!!!
How many dpo are you?

FeatheredTail · 05/07/2015 10:00

Hi all, back from Greece - seriously tanned, rested and feeling positive about ttc post mc. Timing of the holiday was perfect - I needed those two weeks to rest up, get my head straight and have a few random wobbles.

I need to catch up but from what I can see....big congrats to Carrot and Tea!

Hoping everyone else is well. Smile

FeatheredTail · 05/07/2015 10:01

I also just POA ICOPK which was positive - probs just my hormones doing something weird, but just did the sexing for fun (and also just in case my body is randomly fertile despite mc). Feels good to be on the saddle again!

CountryGal4 · 05/07/2015 10:02

tea nice line! How many dpo are you?

justtheonethen · 05/07/2015 10:22

There's no need for a frer tea you is upduffed! Congratulations

SecondCupOfTea · 05/07/2015 10:39

Not sure what stats folks want. Had Nexplanon implant removed 20th May. LMP (well, and first MP for a couple of years) was 7th June. OV day was around 20th-21st June (going on symptoms - pant snot, horny and some cramping on 21st). That makes today 14-15 dpo.

TTC #1
Cycle #1 (some folks are going take an instant dislike to me!)
Both of us in early forties

Partner is rather shocked and delighted. I'm being sensible and accepting that it is quite likely that it will naturally abort, but at least we know we can achieve the first bit. Gonna see if it remains positive for the rest of the week (after all, I bought 25 ic's!).

Both tests are 10mIU/ml, so not sure whether to get a FRER or a CB, or what Confused
