Thanks for the info WW. Wow - it really sounds like you've had a shocker! How are you feeling now? I have heard that you can be in a lot of discomfort for quite a while after the surgery Sad - I hope you're not feeling too bad.

That is SUCH good news that things are now hopefully 'clear' for you when you are next TTC (although obviously it's unlikely to happen first go, given the trauma to your body from the surgery etc).

I do have two practical questions, if you don't mind? Firstly, how much time off work do they recommend (obviously everyone will be different - I'm trying to plan for work and what the hell I'm going to say to them!!!)? Secondly, how long do they suggest you leave it before trying mild exercise? I know that neither of these are the things I should be asking!

Tbh, although I will feel very scared on the day, I just want to have the op and find out what's going on. The only thing we have to go on so far is my GP's opinion (which he came to because I had every symptom of endo but one, and some of those symptoms are fairly specific/uncommon). Last month when AF came I was in so much pelvic pain & back pain & (ahem) bowel pain, there were times when I could hardly move. AF is due next week so I'm getting a bit nervous about that now Sad.

Thanks for your help and advice on the laparoscopy Smile x

heyy WW, flat and everyone else. Hope you're all having a lovely weekend bd or not thinking about 2ww.

I'm away with work and I was in boots with my boss earlier and was trying to work out how I could slip a test in my shopping basket without her seeing. Needless to say I left empty handed Smile

Af due on tue. Absolutely no symptom, has a few twinges on right side earlier but with IBS I always have them. I soo badly want to test but not back until Tue night! HELP!! Ff doesn't help by telling me this morning over 50% of pregnancy are confirmed by this date!!

Morning guys,

Still nothing to report here really cd 21 so got a week left have no idea whether i've ovulated or not this might be a long cycle for me.

Wow guys that made an interesting read sorry to hear that you wentthrough that.x

pulpi · 07/06/2015 07:46

Using Dubrovnik airport internet. Must be quick. Yes, you need to take a ferry (although boat might be a more accurate description) to Mljet, so that might put it on your no-ferry list, Carrot.

To whomever asked upthread (apologies for the panicky interneting) I spot a day or two before. Brownish old stuff, usually... But not this time. Oh no. Straight to the doubled over cramps and Niagara Falls. AF has kicked my ass off the bus again.

On the upside, Croatian white wine is lovely when taken in a seaside tavern while watching the sunset. Gloat, gloat...

Morning lovely ladies. I hope it's bright and sunny where you all are. It's amazing what a bit of sunshine can do to your morale!

WW - thank you so much for all the info. I know everything has to be very general as every person responds differently to surgery, and every surgery is different, but it's useful to have a rough idea. Thank you Smile. FX I get a 'duck note' - ha ha ha! FX you get your BFP soon Smile.

Oh your periods sound awful Sad. I'm so sorry. How miserable! To be honest, I always thought I was a jammy b*stard as my periods are so short and light. They have usually lasted 2-3 days with only 2 days of actually, ahem, 'flow'. For a long cycle AF will usually only last up to 4 days, and even then a lot of that is only noticeable when I wipe (sorry for the TMI). I now wonder whether my lack of bleeding is a bad sign. It's all very weird as I get a huge amount of pain!

Birchy - Ooo that's frustrating! Are you being kept busy? Try and keep yourself occupied until you're back and able to test. It may be a blessing in disguise as, even if it is going to be a BFP, there's still a high chance the test will still show as negative at this stage. I know that's not helpful though as I would be doing anything I could to test right now (yep - very hypocritical of me!).

Key - that's annoying that you're not sure you ovulated. Do you do all the OPK an temping malarkey? Do you get pains when you ovulate? FX you did Smile.

Pulpi - sorry AF got you. That sucks. FX for next month (I know - I'm getting sick of saying that to people, and getting sick of hearing it back - ha ha!.

CarrotVan · 07/06/2015 11:53

7 dpo here and feeling rubbish. I'm so tired I went to bed at 9.30 and slept until 7.30 and am still knackered. Trying not to test until this time next week although FF tells me to test at 12 dpo, probably because this is my WTF cycle.

Itsme247 · 07/06/2015 17:37

Just checking in ladies, I had a particular situation today which has made me really angry so need to rant! We went to a family memorial service today, really sad but that lady was 97.. Good innings! However whenever things like this happen the family always want something nice to look forward to.. we got married in aug last year so I walked in and all the aunties start clucking around and then one of them actually said 'oh looks like I've lost the bet, I thought you'd be pregnant by Christmas!!' So my reply was of course... I'll have a double G&T thanks... We've been trying for ages and now I'm really starting to worry something is wrong :(

CarrotVan · 07/06/2015 18:40

How incredibly rude of her.

MyNameIsSuz · 07/06/2015 19:49

Urgh, itsme, I have a neighbour like that, always strikes up a conversation when I'm walking past and gets personal fast. Last time I kind of bluntly (but nicely) said 'well it isn't always that simple' but she just didn't take the hint and kept on at me that my 2 year old ds was getting older, would probably like a sibling, the age gap was getting bigger... yeah thanks, a month after a mc that's exactly the guilt trip I needed! That's precisely what I feel angsty about, the widening age gap (there would have been just under 3 years with the one I miscarried, which I felt was a lovely gap). I feel your pain!

Vap0 · 07/06/2015 23:19

Hi all!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend!

I'm starting to get a bit bothered about my cycle. AF only lasted for 1 day this month. It's been 2 days on all cycles this year up until just now. When I cast my mind back to all those years ago when I used to have AF I think they were around the 5-7 day mark. flat I just read about what you said about your short AF too. Have you read up about it much? I'm a bit bothered about googling stuff like this as you seem to get loads of horror stories.

What is normal?

At least I have another consultant appointment in July so can ask then what the implications are. Pretty sad to expect to still not be pregnant in another 2 months I'm just almost certain I'm going to need medical intervention. No medical issues at all and hycosy showed nothing sinister but why would nothing be happening? Apparently after a hycosy you are super fertile for 3 months after. So that apparent super fertility has worn off now. The Dr reckoned most people will get pregnant in the 3 months after.

suz I don't understand all of these nosey people who can't help but tell us "strugglers" how we should get on with it. I'm sick to the back teeth of the questions from people and even had my gran telling me "times running out you know, you'd best get on with it soon" argh! It makes me so angry!!! Why do these people feel the need to comment???

carrot I get super tired at certain times of the month too. I'm wondering if my body is trying so hard to ovulate and it takes everything out of me? Do you have te tiredness every month? What do you reckon causes it?

Any more bfp's on the horizon? Any testers about?

Sarah563 · 08/06/2015 05:28

I stupidly decided to test 9dpo yesterday. Obviously it was a bfn!! Lol
I will be patient now and re-test at the end of the week!!
Ps my boobs are so painful and enormous Shock

weechops · 08/06/2015 06:55

sarah sore boobs are a good sign! You must be a lot more patient than me if you can wait til the end of the week Grin

3dpo today and I feel totally normal ha!

CarrotVan · 08/06/2015 08:45

Vap my periods have always been a week long since they started when I was 12/13. And heavy. They stopped being so heavy and painful that I'd faint every month once I went on the pill at 17 but were still a week long. 1-2 days sounds like bliss but I know it's not for you when it might mean other issues

I don't get tired every month but this last month has been pretty intensely stressful. MrVan has a job interview today and has chronic depression with anxiety which is flaring up as he's been really stressed at work.

Sarah sore boobs are a good sign especially if it's not a normal AF symptom for you. No more testing until Fri/Sat and I'll test with you if you need someone to keep you honest...

Carltonlives · 08/06/2015 10:57

Hey everyone! Just checking up on you all!

flat just wanted to say that my periods are really short and light but painful. I usually only properly bleed for a day or 2 then spotting for another day usually. It didn't seem to stop me falling pregnant so I wouldn't worry Smile

Good luck to all the testers!! Got my fingers crossed for everyone esp birchy!!

Sarah563 · 08/06/2015 11:36

Yes Carrot let's test on Fri together. Holding hands. Grin

Rachelc82 · 08/06/2015 12:13

Hi everyone, back from a lovely break away in Wales thought I would check in/ update. ( need to read back on the last week posts) but I hope you are all doing well and are close to your BFP's. So I got a bfn I tested morning before going to Wales that was 12dpo. Af then started the next day and was normal. DP also got the results of his sa after a phone conversation with the doctor whilst we were away and results were normal, that's all doctor said. He will now put a referral in for us to go to fertility clinic. 6 to 8 weeks waiting list.
I'm now feeling very down that it must be something wrong with me why we haven't conceived.

I really thought we had conceived this time, I had lots of systems some that still experiencing now. Still constantly eating since ovulation Iv now almost put a stone in weight on, could also be depressions I guess to increase appetite in that way.
Sorry for long message, feeling very emotional atm.

CarrotVan · 08/06/2015 12:25

It's a deal Sarah assuming AF doesn't get me by then (this being the WTF cycle of uncertainty and confusion) as I'm rather crampy

Glad you had a good break Rachel but sorry you've had such difficult news to process. Sounds like your doctor is on the ball and supportive though. Look after yourself

Rachelc82 · 08/06/2015 13:53

Thank you carrot I guess he is. Hope it's just a case of bad luck and there is nothing wrong.

Congratulations on all the BFP's this bus really is beginning to looks like the BFP bus. Hope it's a good sign for us all.

I was doing some reading whilst away and apparently royal jelly casuals are good for fertility, anyone else heard this. I told DP I had read this and he added them to our shopping lol. Guess he's getting pretty desperate himself now. We went to a christening of our friend ds yesterday. Everyone had children, including two 4 wk old babies of dp's friends that fell pregnant and have had there babies in the time DP and I have been trying. I could see my dp felt it same as me, I could see the sadness in his eyes. It almost broke my heart to see.

CarrotVan · 08/06/2015 14:16

I'm all confused. Can anyone tell me when to test?

MC started 13/5, 0 hcg by 22/5, bleed stopped 23/5, positive opk 30/5

Every online calculator gives me a different answer
