This is cycle #3 TTC for me. I really hoping this will be my month. Who's with me?

Ahh I see, how long have you been TTC? I would go with your suggestion too probably if I only had three goes. I am worried I am not approaching the DTD very well; I don't want my DH to feel like I'm using him as a baby making machine! Maybe I should lay off the dates and start pretending to be relaxed!!

birchygoo · 05/06/2015 11:31

vap if you get your peak ovulation in middle day - yes those are the 3 days I would choose as well.

I did the SMEP this month - so will let you know how that has went in 4 days time!

Itsme247 · 05/06/2015 11:59

We've been trying for 10 cycles now and my DH is approaching DTD as if it's a real test of his manhood, I know I'm desperate to have a baby too but he's more obsessed with my OV than I am...

Mrs1986, same as my plan. Notice you are on cycle 2 for #1 and on a similar day to me, when do you test?

Mrs1986 · 05/06/2015 12:32

Louwn - I am planning to be sensible and only test if I'm late cause last cycle I did a too many tests and realised this could become a very expensive game!!!

Itsme247 I will keep my fingers crossed for you and your DH!! Stay positive xx

Mrs1986 · 05/06/2015 12:34

Having said that I'm a total OCD so will totally end up testing early.
Louwn - when are you going to DTD? Are you using opks? X

louwn · 05/06/2015 12:39

Yes I tested on day period due and it was a day late! Totally identify with your feelings that it could be a long process with no particular reason why I am thinking that. I am not testing next time til I am a few days late.

CarrotVan · 05/06/2015 12:39

CARLTON - you're pregnant! WooHoo

louwn · 05/06/2015 12:40

DTD every other day from tomorrow. Am resisting OPKs cos I think they might stress me out!!

WizardSong · 05/06/2015 12:56

I couldn't wait to see if AF arrived or not so went to buy a test on my lunch and it's a BFP!!!!!!

I CANNOT believe it!! I was SURE we'd missed it this month.

Oh my god.

weechops · 05/06/2015 13:08

wizard that's fantastic! Congratulations on your bfp!!!

Vap0 · 05/06/2015 13:17

Congratulations wizard

mrs this is month 21, I do tend to pressurise him in the important days but there is no where near as much stress on him as there is on me with the constant failure. I'm not telling him the dates this month and hope he doesn't notice...

Congrats wizard!

I've got my finger and toes crossed for you birchy Smile

CarrotVan · 05/06/2015 13:28

I'd barely added you to the stats wizard and you've got a BFP! Congratulations!

Mrs1986 · 05/06/2015 13:42

Congratulations Wizard!!

Louwn - what cd are you on??
Let's keep in touch on here cause I'll need some will power to stop me testing early and wasting money!

Vap0 - I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you this cycle. Do you both have stressful jobs? A friend of mine conceived twice on holiday! There must be something in this relaxing nonescense! Not that any of us want to hear that!!

CarrotVan · 05/06/2015 13:49

If relaxing is the key then I'm screwed.

In theory I'm 6dpo. Bored now. And another person from the group of friends with kids DS1's age gave birth a few days ago. So bored and grumpy

Mrs1986 · 05/06/2015 13:58

Do you only know your dpo if you use opks? I have three apps that seem to tell me different things hence was planning a 10 day DTD-athon to be safe. Maybe I'll end up building up to being more precise!?

WizardSong · 05/06/2015 14:04

Thanks guys. Haven't even told DP yet as still at work trying to concentrate..!

Good luck everyone!

CarrotVan · 05/06/2015 14:09

I think some people have very clear ovulation - some months I get a sharp pain for example

VioletIbiza88 · 05/06/2015 14:35

I posted earlier on on this bus but not been back to say hi since. Although I have been keeping up with the thread. Oh and for the stats carrot Im 27.

wizard congrats Flowers

I used cheapy opk's for the first time this cycle and am a bit confused. I saw a test line from the first day I tested (CD9) which then gradually darkened and was positive on Wednesday evening (CD15) (test line was even darker than the control line) it was still positive on Thursday morning (CD16) and then by the evening the line was lighter than the control but only slightly, the same that evening and this morning. When would you start counting dpo from? Am I right in thinking I'm DPO1 today? Any thoughts much appreciated. DTD cycle days 7, 10, 12, 14,15,16. Worth another go tonight, tomorrow do you think?

Testing on the 17th if AF hasn't got me first and see that a few of us are testing around that time x

VioletIbiza88 · 05/06/2015 14:36

carlton congrats Flowers

CarrotVan · 05/06/2015 14:40

I think you would 1 dpo and well worth getting another shag in today as the egg can last a couple of days after ovulation and you ovulate 12-36 hours after a positive OPK (if you ovulate - OPKs detect preparing to ovulate not actual ovulation)

TwoHatsTooMany · 05/06/2015 15:51

This is a super charged BFP thread, congratulations Carlton and Wizard.

I'm 1DPO think, given that I had positive OPK on Wednesday, going to pounce on their husband one last time tonight before settling down to the craziness that is their 2ww
