This is cycle #3 TTC for me. I really hoping this will be my month. Who's with me?

Hopefully this will be our month for BFP's!! This is my 10th month of TTC for baby #1 - desperately trying to stay positive! This is also my first month on a forum, don't know who to talk to anymore as I'm starting to get the 'maybe you are trying too hard' comments...

DizzyMerry · 03/06/2015 16:40

Sorry I haven't been able to keep up on here. I'm just sulking because I don't think I ovulated this cycle even though FF thinks I have. I'm just fed up now. Will read back properly tonight.

DizzyMerry · 03/06/2015 17:00

Itsme I get the rage at the "trying too hard" comments. Boils my piss! I'm off to find the sweary thread as o clearly need to get this rant out of my system!!!

Vap0 · 03/06/2015 17:15

Started spotting today, expecting AF to arrive properly later today/tomorrow/Friday. However as its so early in the month hopefully I can hang about the June bus as I will be testing again on 30th June as next AF is due 1st July.
carrot thank you for the wonderful job of keeping the stats! Please can you update me cycle 21

CarrotVan · 03/06/2015 17:29

Will do vap and of course you should hang out here. We are the cool kids

chillthefXXkout · 03/06/2015 17:58

Thanks for all the reassurance ladies! reaches for wine glass

Not only do some people say you are 'trying too hard' but also 'just relax and it will happen' as if it all hinges on the woman being completely chilled out... No pressure then! And nothing to do with biology, just a woman's mind...???!?

The odds seem to look good for this thread!! I'm so relieved to have somewhere to talk about this without sounding obsessed!!

Haha merry that made me smile Smile yep I feel like I need a rant with those sort of comments! Totally agree itsme One of my friends (who doesn't know we're trying) classic line is "it only takes once you know"..... Oh that reminds me, I'm seeing them tonight- better go get ready! Wish me luck I'm bound to get some more comments tonight, coz you know I'm married now so should have been up the duff as soon as the ink was dry!

Itsme247 · 03/06/2015 18:57

I don't even respond anymore to those kind of comments or I really will start losing friends...

I mean... 'it'll happen when it happens' .... What kind of bullshit is that!

Itsme247 · 03/06/2015 19:00

Haha good luck Southy! You'll have to report back with any cringe comments!

Vap0 · 03/06/2015 19:06

Hahaha why south itsme chill you all made me laugh a lot!

elephantfeet · 03/06/2015 19:13

Hi...I have just found this thread so I hope it is ok to post here, I just did a test as I realised this morning there has been no sign on AF for a while, got a bfp...am completely in shock and DP is working abroad for the next two weeks so I have nobody to tell!! So here I am. What happens now...do I need to go to the doctor ASAP or can I wait til DP is home to tell him first?! Sorry for the questions, this is totally out of the blue and unexpected and completely awful timing as it's almost exactly 9 months til our wedding...ah well!!

keys27 · 03/06/2015 19:48

elephant Congratulations. Hehe book in with doctor soon so you can get folic acid and they can book your scans and midwife. You wont get any appointments for a few weeks yet but at least your in the system. Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy hopefully if no af for a while little one will be here before you say I do.

He he just read back on all the posts you've made me giggle.

No idea if ovulated this month or not have no idea how them things work just let nature take its cause for now I think.

CarrotVan · 03/06/2015 19:53

Elephant - you normally see a midwife for the first time between 8-10 weeks (booking in) and then again when you have your first scan (11-13 weeks). Work out how pregnant you are (how long since the start of your last period) and then see if you have time to wait for your husband to get back before getting in the system. It can take a couple of weeks to get that initial midwife appointment but depending on the policy in your area you might be able to self refer rather than go through the GP (who won't be that bothered unless you have complicating medical factors) which saves a bit of time. You can find out by calling the community midwifery team at your local hospital

And congratulations!!!

CarrotVan · 03/06/2015 19:54

Plus start taking prenatal vitamins or folic acid now if you aren't already

Itsme247 · 03/06/2015 20:06

Oh can I join in? Is there room for a newbie on the stats? I'm 25 and TTC 10 AF due 30th June!

Itsme247 · 03/06/2015 20:07

Congrats elephant!

elephantfeet · 03/06/2015 20:24

Thankyou Smile I will ring the surgery tomorrow then and DP will be back by the time the appointment comes around. Might be a bit awkward as I know the midwives locally in a professional capacity, but they must be used to that!

Sarah563 · 03/06/2015 21:10

Itsme - hilarious.

I'm so pissed off with people telling me to relax too!! They think I'm getting a bit obsessed about it all - I'm not really, I just want to get pregnant!!

I've learnt so much by being on this forum / charting / temping / CM checking. I feel like I actually know my body now. And actually I am becoming much less stressed. I know my body works (miscarriage 8 months ago); I know I ovulate - temp and CM checks; I know my DH works (MC 8 months ago) so all I need to do is time DTD and cross those fingers (and not the legs!! Grin)

Even if I don't fall pregnant this month (Currently in the TWW), then we'll try again next month... What else can we do?

thundernlightning · 03/06/2015 21:30

Itsme Ugh, that kind of incredibly unhelpful advice drives me nuts too.

Elephant Oh my goodness, congratulations and what a surprise that must have been!

Well, ladies, I think this is my stop. Spotting seems to be turning into AF so I guess it's just a weird period this month (probably stress!).

Good luck to the people staying on the bus!

Mrs1986 · 03/06/2015 21:33

That's a nice positive attitude Sarah!
I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. Do you think it makes it easier that you don't have the worry of there being a problem?

I don't know why but I'm so negative about everything. I have absolutely no evidence of there being a problem with me nor my DH but for some reason I'm just sure it's going to be a long and painful process TTC! I wonder why?? My DH had the exact opposite worry. He thought that the second I took my knickers off it'd be time to buy a pram!

Good luck Sarah! it wasn't until coming on a forum I realised there's a lot more I can be doing to get preggo! This is my first month with OPK's and temping so I might need some advice... although mainly I'm doing it to find out if I'm actually ovulating, I'm convinced there's something wrong with me! :(

birchygoo · 03/06/2015 22:04

welcome to all the newbies!

I'm 8dpo and itching to poas!! like why... its not going to tell me anything. fed up waiting Angry most likely ain't even implanted yet! I'm away from Fri , 10dpo and considering if I should poas before I go. although only 10% of pregnancies picked up that early! am back day AF is due so I should just wait until then!

weechops · 03/06/2015 22:23

birchy with my previous pregnancies I've always managed to see a faint line on 10dpo. I used the First Resonse tests. I would definitely test but then I'm a bit of a poas addict!

Southy84 · 03/06/2015 22:52

Congratations elephant :)

Well the friend wasn't too bad tonight, for the first time EVER!! I'll probably get a double helping of it next time I see her to make up for it Wink
