More of a faint shadow than a faint line

I can't even detect it in a photo but there is a faint shadow (not line) where the line should be. Is the shadow just part of the (eBay cheapie) test?

I didnt use fmu as was up most of the night with dc2 and weed all night.

By my calculations I'm 13dpo (normally have a short cycle/short luteal phase of 8 days) AF nowhere to be seen and the preAF cramps have subsided.

Is it worth getting mildly excited? What do you think?

I've tried to take photos but this very very faint line/shadow can't be seen in the photo.

Thinking I'm setting myself up to be disappointed here!! Probably an evap line I guess? But the other tests I've done on previous days till today have no line/shadow at all.

I know I'm asking a question no one can actually give me an answer to! So I appreciate you humouring me mrs.

I'm seeing a really good old friend tonight that I haven't seen in years so wanted to check I could drink!!

I'm not humouring you .... I've got everything crossed for you! Why I got my BFP in November it was so so so so so SO faint that I took it to my friend that squinted and said "maybe" ... Test 2 days later was really dark!!! Xx

When you got your really really faint line how many dpo were you? I can barely see my really faint line now. Wondering if I going (or have gone) crazy!!

You might just be seeing the indentation line, but you never know, it might be the start of something!

I can't see anything now! It's disappeared? I did another test (I know I know- really pointless and stupid but it was calling to me from the bathroom cabinet!!) and not even a hint of a line.

It was a greyish colour maybe a vague hint of pink but I couldn't be sure.

Oh it was darker in one side than the other- not sure of the significance of that!

I was 10dpo with the faint line .... Got darker and darker every day! Unfortunately I miscarried in December but to trying this month .... I'm 4dpo so I'll be in your position soon and trying to stop to POAS!! Lol

Not my first but DS is 18 next month so HUGE age gap x

I've returned to look at the test and now I can't even see the faintest of lines. Thanks for the advice and support though x

My first positive amazon cheapie was literally squint, hold at certain angles, barely there but I could see SOMETHING!

I did a FRER the same day (after holding my wee for three hours) and got a still faint but undeniable BFP.

Might buy a frer then this avo (what is a frerConfused) and do it tomorrow morning (if I can wait that long).

I bought it planning to wait until the next day but I'm terribly impatient! My very faint line is currently 12 weeks + 2 days today and making me feel very sick!

Congrats! Enjoy the pregnancy (as much as you can!- hopefully sickness will subside in a week or 2).

I can't actually see a thing on it now?! I'm sure I'm not going crazy.

Thanks for the advice today. I think it was a shadow of sorts(?!) and so I didn't waste my money on the pricey FRER one while I was out shopping.

I'm sure I'll keep manically testing with the cheapies till AF comes along!

Used another cheapie this morning- a possibly very very faint shadow again. I'm taking it I'm not pg as I'm 14dpo now (AF is a week late) and it would show on a test. So my cycle has gone haywire but sadly not pg.

Oh and for a further update- I decided since I was wasting Internet cheapies like they were going out of fashion that id do an experiment to see if a test on water also would give a faint line...... The result ..... The test using water has a darker/more prominent faint line than the test using my FMU!!! So I guess that is pretty conclusive. BFN!

Zippy I was definitely more 'conception crazy' second time round! I think it must get worse every time! Grin
