Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

The current Grads Fred is here

The rather nobbish article in which we became a little bit notorious is here

Happy shagging, shaggers!

Hooya for you mini! But fx for a bfp!! When will you retest? I used the IC and didn't get a line at first until about 7/8 minutes after when I tested early

honeysucklejasmine · 19/08/2014 13:42

JellyPi I'm in the same boat regarding weight loss. Mainly because my local area has a lovely MLU delivery suite which I want to use, rather than the consultant led one. However, there is a weight limit!

My BFF is a midwife and said that round these parts the only recommended weight loss regime during conception and pregnancy is slimming world. That might just be a local policy though!

jellypi3 · 19/08/2014 13:44

Sucks doesn't it Honey!

Think I am just going to focus on upping the exercise regime. I'm 5.7 and a size 14, I don't weigh myself so no idea how much I weigh but I just feel overweight which I why I want to shed some pounds first!

honeysucklejasmine · 19/08/2014 13:49

Chat Flowers fainting would be a PITA, I guess! Wink Mine is more your garden variety agonising cramps and stabbing, wrenching pains. More of a 4 days in bed, rather than blacking out. Fun times huh? Smile

Patiently I'm glad I'm not the only one! Starting to think I was half dead, especially as DH was a perfect 37 when I angrily shoved it in his mouth! Grin

Still getting the odd twinge in my uterus area. Kinda hoping that the egg can't move a micrometer without tripping over a sperm. Wink

honeysucklejasmine · 19/08/2014 13:52

Jelly well you're taller and thinner than me, so that's a good start! Wink Ha ha ha. Yes, I need to get going with the exercise too. Unluckily my lupus affects my joints because my body hates me, so no high impact going for a jog sort of thing for me. Can I persuade DH to build us a swimming pool? Wink Failing that, it's walking, walking, walking. Will have to pull out my wooly jumpers and jeans and brave it out doors! Smile

What do you do for exercise?

minimooo · 19/08/2014 13:54

Thank you for the much-needed hooyas! I will stop googling pictures of positive ICs now Hmm

lauren I've just read the amazon reviews of the ICs I bought and quite a few people said the same as you. But there a few people who said they got evaps too...so trying to stay relatively rational. How early did you test with the ICs?

I might try with a frer in the morning if af hasn't appeared by then.

jellypi3 · 19/08/2014 14:01

I was playing football for a ladies 11-a-side team but I broke my foot back in March and haven't been able to go back since. I've been fairly sedentary since then which I think is the problem. I just downloaded the couch to 5k app which guides you to running 5k eventually, although I went for a jog for the first time just before I broke my foot and did 2k no trouble, but this c25k is meant to be a good way of easing you in to jogging. Hoping to go back to football, but again this is something I am worried about doing in case I do get upduffed (without knowing) and something happens because of getting knocked in the stomach (which happens a lot).

I wish I was the sort of person to like gyms or home excercise, I just can't find the motivation. Think I'll just focus on healthy eating as well (she says after eating jacket potato and cheese for lunch!) :)

Sorry to hear about your lupus honey, that sounds awful having pains like that :(

lildottie · 19/08/2014 14:20

minimoo in the almost 2 years I've been pissing on ICS I've never had an evap. never a squint of a hint of a line. and mine are Amazon too. so I'm going to skip the hooya and send you congratulatory Thanks instead! get a digi and test with fmu when you are officially late!

Jelly I don't know anything about 5:2 diet but there is a thread somewhere on MN about it so people there might know?

laurenamium · 19/08/2014 14:48

Minimoo I got a positive 3 days before AF was due with the ICs, it got darker every day after that I tested too and came quicker with FMU. I'm feeling positive for you too! When is AF due?

Leela5 · 19/08/2014 14:57

mini I'm going to say to he'll with it - a line is a line is a mf line! Congrats doll xx

Leela5 · 19/08/2014 14:57

Oh and I agree with lil - never seen a line even after hours with a ic

minimooo · 19/08/2014 15:01

really lil and la? Bloody hell, my mind is definitely in overdrive now! Will test with a frer tomorrow and see what that says. I'm so cautious with ICs, I'm never quite sure I trust them. Plus, I just can't actually believe that it will ever happen for us (almost 2 years for us too - although with a mmc early last year).

lauren I'm due af tomorrow, so would have thought a positive on an IC would have come up a bit more quickly? And it is quite faint...

goddammit, can't they invent a womb telescope or something so that we can actually see what's going on in there?!

KatoPotato · 19/08/2014 15:10

mini no hooya, I don't think you get pink evap lines?

WAHOOOOO! xxx

laurenamium · 19/08/2014 15:25

I'll do a congratulations too mini Thanks

Leela5 · 19/08/2014 15:26

If faint it might just not be strong amounts of hormone. Test tomorrow with full moon unicorn. Fx for a big fat mf bfp!

(I'm a bit sweary today, no reason)

jellypi3 · 19/08/2014 15:33

Oooh fx for you mini I really hope it's not evap or anything. It's so exciting! We told our closest friends last night we will be starting TTC soon, they are pregnant and having a baby in December. It felt a lot realer telling them for some reason, even though we've not started officially yet. Although, that being said, we've gone from planning to start TTC around December to starting in September lol!

gaggiagirl · 19/08/2014 17:16

Yeah mini no hooya from me, just a congrats woooooooooo!

ChatEnOeuf · 19/08/2014 19:13

Ooh I hope tomorrow's stick is a bfp! Grin

honeysucklejasmine · 19/08/2014 20:50

Good luck mini, it sounds positive promising!

jelly it does sound like a good app! Good luck with it! I'm sticking with the healthy eating and gentle walking. I want to use that MLU dammit! I am determined.

On another note, what do people usually do during their two week wait?

callipygian00 · 19/08/2014 22:30

Good luck mini!!!

Honey I don't hold out much hope for this month (only managed to DTD once around icing time) but I'm going to really try to keep myself ultra-busy in the TWOT, it's the only thing that works for me, if I don't I'll drive myself up the wall.

Bought this yesterday in Boots (£12.99), we tried it out last night and got to give it top marks! Was a bit sceptical because they call it a spray but it's just a gel you squirt.

splodge77 · 19/08/2014 22:52

Good luck mini! Actually I'm joining you in doing a frer tomorrow morn - 2 days before AF due but I'm off camping on thurs & want to know if I need to take AF bumpf with me or no!! (& also if I can drink heh heh). Not holding out 2 much hope this month. Only DTD twice though 'twas round EWCM time I think. Bet the witch will come first thing tomorrow as I'm prepping to test...

Leela5 · 19/08/2014 22:59

Fx mini and splodge!

Mr La and i have just been looking at our JSIng opportunities for the next week. Last year we didn't dtd in the 3 days up to icing so this month we are determined!

Does anyone else get freaked put after having a luminous yellow wee due to pregnacare!

lildottie · 19/08/2014 23:20

last year la if you'rr only trying once a year that could be the problem! Grin I remember when I started the pregnacare, I was straight on google. self diagnosed many things before I realised it was the vits!

soooo whole day with bro, sil and the baby and toddler tomorrow. great. just great. need to find the PMA!

as for what to do in the twot, I can recommend infertility to take your mind off it. lol. seriously I have to agree keeping busy and focussing on other things. camping for the first week of twot last month made it fly by. think it may be harder to distract myself this cycle though!
