Sorry about the witch, Marbles - but best of luck for the interview!

I've just applied for a job and I'm at the end of what seems like a very long 2WW. Like you I think I'll be able to see the positive side if there was no egg'n'spermalooza in my tubes this month. Just about...

is just so fucking clucky and still sore from all the clucky fucking

MabelMay · 31/05/2014 18:02

Hey again

passthebiscuits I've already found out what we're having. Another boy! It'll be our 3rd DS! I'm actually totally happy with 3 of a kind. My only real concern is that he's healthy and thriving in there. I'm not telling many people in RL though and am already dealing with the: 'I bet you're hoping it's a girl!' 'Oh god, what if it's another BOY???' 'Did you try for a third because you wanted a girl?'. It's driving me nuts already. I have to assume that people who make those kinds of comments have never struggled to get pregnant/had losses/or are just plain insensitive. How can the gender be more important than the baby's health? I guess they just want to say something...

And yes those early weeks are probably the most worrying of all. I was obsessed with my symptoms coming and going. Was convinced I was miscarrying a couple of times - just found it impossible to relax and enjoy the fact I was pregnant (had two MCs last year). Feeling a little more settled in it now, but only just! Now I'm about the enter the period of movement-checking/spotting, which is a whole new set of reasons to be paranoid!

Anyway, congrats again. The age gaps sound perfect. Ours are a little bigger. DS1 is 8, DS2 6. But they're both incredibly broody!

Wilting have my fingers tightly crossed for you.

And for everyone else too.

Good luck at the scan DG! Let us know how it goes.

Passthebiscuitspls · 02/06/2014 16:24

Mabel ahhh! congrats on the boy! I love boys! I find them easier as what you see is what you get, well, mine is anyway. And so very cuddly, much more than my girl ever has been. He loves a cuddle with mummy or daddy and never turns one down, I love that!

Yes, I keep getting the question as to why would I want a third if I've already got one of each? Surely I should be done?! Ha ha, can't wait to announce my pregnancy! Everyone seems to have an opinion on everything don't they? Ah well, you can't please everyone, and this is about what's right for us and our family, not theirs! Told one of my bestest friends, she didn't know we were trying, the shock was hilarious, this is going to be fun! ;)

Hope everyone else is doing ok? Anyone close to testing soon? Xx

BeginnerSAHM · 02/06/2014 17:56

Yes, congratulations Mabel!! I get similar comments re 'why would you want a third, when you have one of each?', which I think is pretty ridiculous. I'd be happy with three of a kind. Not going to find out with this one though. Fingers crossed everything is ok - I just want a healthy one. (Wee bit more worried this time, because of my age...) Soooo fed up with constant nausea and tiredness at the moment. Of course, I'd be more fed up if I wasn't pregnant though...

wiltingfast · 03/06/2014 15:29

Gah, af has arrived a day early! I suppose it is great that everything has apparently settled so quickly but a teeny part of me was hoping I'd be one of those who never got an af :(

Ah well, good luck to anyone else close to testing!

scattaboy · 03/06/2014 16:55

Just found this thread - can I join? TTC number 3 and like you passthebiscuits have one of each and get the 'why would you want another' comments.

Anyone found that you get more 'pregnancy like symptoms' just as pre-af symptoms since having second baby? I swear I used to just get cramps, now I also get nausea, tiredness, mood swings and sore boobs and these were all things that I only had in pregnancy before, now I seem to get them every month, so the last two cycles I have been convinced I was pregnant even though I wasn't, so annoying!
I think I am on day 16 today, but I think from ttc for no.2 I normally ovulated late so I might be in the 'go go go' period for a couple more days. Either that or I am already in the 2ww. May as well consider it the 'gogogo' time as it is more fun at least!

Passthebiscuitspls · 03/06/2014 20:20

Wilting so sorry she got you. I'm not that lucky to ever fall first month either so you're not alone. Glass of wine tonight, then the positivity can come back soon for the next cycle. Big hugs.

Hi Scattaboy and welcome! That made me laugh! The 'go go go period' so funny! Yes, I'm not sure whether the pill masked all the symptoms that I felt in the run up to AF as I've never had them on the pill. But the first month I had sore boobs, not reeeeeally sore so I knew I was pregnant but I've not had sore boobs at all when my periods due whilst on AF so my hopes were up a little bit. I know, people are strange aren't they?! It's not the different sex that I want, it's just another child. I suppose it does make me not care less what sex it is. Maybe if I'd have had two boys now, I might have really wanted a girl, I don't know tho.

Beginner how many weeks are you now? You've got to be near the scan now? I know what you mean about the nausea, mines started much earlier than last time. I hope it doesn't get worse as it's cope able at the minute.

Fingers crossed for everyone else this month. Xx

BeginnerSAHM · 04/06/2014 14:38

Yes wilting, I'm sorry too. But agree with the glass of wine prescription from biscuits!

I'm 10 weeks today, I think. Based on LMP date but am pretty sure I must have ovulated late so probably not quite 10 weeks. Anyway, I have a scan in 2 weeks time. Still feeling nauseous and very tired but have actually put on weight this time round as I can't stop eating...Blush. I lost weight in the first trimester with DC1 and 2 - because I was so sick.

Still not entirely convinced they'll be a baby there at the scan. I bled a bit about 3 times but nothing very dramatic so fingers crossed. Really want to tell the children though because I'm so tired all the time and not much fun. I hope they'll be excited but I expect they won't really react much. DC1 might get a bit upset as he's really clingy at the moment. Don't think he's going to like me paying so much attention to a baby rather than him. Going to have to manage things very carefully.... Anyway, I'm getting ahead of things. See how the first scan and triple test/Harmony go first. I'm much more paranoid now I'm 'nearly 40'. (Or 'just 39' depending on how you look at it...!)

wiltingfast · 04/06/2014 16:05

Like the gow recommendations! Might do that tonight Grin

Sounds like you're going great beginner, in all the circs. V hard not to stress, just a question of getting to each stage and then past it onto the next worry! Fx for you on testing too. Take deep breaths and have a treat of choice ;)

MabelMay · 04/06/2014 17:29

Gah - sorry wilting - but at least you know where you are now in your cycle and know that everything's in 'working order' as it were Hmm

The good side of getting an AF is that you can have a nice big glass or three of wine and let yourself slack off all the good habits for a week or two.

beginner I've also found it hard to believe I'll see a baby every time I've gone for a scan. And despite my now pretty big bump I still can't really let myself think there'll be a baby at the end of it. Might feel more real once the kicks/movement starts. Good luck anyway!

Sighing · 04/06/2014 17:50

What do you think?
And yes. I am an idiot to test today 9/10 dpo

TTC3, 2ww anyone want to join me??
wiltingfast · 04/06/2014 18:04

Oh!!! Even on my stupid tiny phone I think can see a very faint line!!!! Excitement sighing!

How many weeks are you now mabel? Time to accept it methinks!

Btw, my "af" has petered away already? Is that normal whatever that is?

BeginnerSAHM · 04/06/2014 18:52

Argh - can't see on my phone!! Try again tomorrow!

Wilting - how heavy was your af? I thought mine had started as there was a fair bit (but not loads) of brown blood and it was implantation bleeding. But it is unusual to get that. And your body might not be quite back to normal yet so things could stop and start a bit until the hormones regulate themselves. But... it might not be af.... (Don't want to get your hopes up though Hmm)

BeginnerSAHM · 04/06/2014 18:55

Sighing - just looked at the proper website not just the app. I reckon there's a definite line.... Grin

Sighing · 04/06/2014 19:36

DH is convinced of line. Phew. Just hoping this one stays around. But so much for my resolution not to test for aaaages!

MissingMyMarbles · 04/06/2014 19:37

Oooh Sighing! I reckon that's a line Grin

DGLB · 04/06/2014 21:49

Hi everyone Smile

We had our 20 week scan this afternoon baby is growing nicely and nothing serious found, we wasn't sure whether we was going to find out the sex or not but baby decided for us by having the umbilical cord running straight through his/her legs covering everyone up lol so clearly we wasn't ment to no it's going to be a long 20 weeks now.....

Hope everyone's doing okay, sharing lots of baby dust Smile

Passthebiscuitspls · 05/06/2014 08:20

DGLB fantastic news Hun! now onto the best bit, preparing for babies arrival! I just love the nesting bit!

Sighing I can soooo see a line, congratulations! I bet that will get darker over the next few days. Fantastic news, more BFP's!

Wilting Oohhh, really hope it wasn't! like beginner said tho, I don't want to get your hopes up. Have you tested just to make sure?

Glad we're all the same on the 'scared about not seeing anything at the scan thing!' I'm petrified already!

Xx

wiltingfast · 05/06/2014 08:29

Thank god DG! Home stretch now Grin then lots of sleepness nights, poooy nappies, throwing up Wink I know you can't wait. Fx it will all remain dull as ditchwater til then :)

It was a tiny amount of blood in end beginner and biscuits, but it was red noit brown, another small smear last night. Have constant low back pain though so prettu sure not pg and body must just still be a bit all over the place. Girl on another thread said she had same and full af came 2w later.

Nordicmom · 05/06/2014 14:24

Hi! Can I join ?We've been trying for no3 now for a while. On cycle 7 ATM and driving myself crazy symptom spotting. It's 8dpo for me now and in lack of frers until dh gets home have used cb digital opk for the last few days ( I wanted to see what happens since feel so preg ) and they've gotten darker and have had a flashing smiley on 7po and 8dpo and just a circle on 6 dpo . Cramps etc started 5 dpo like before when I've conceived.
So going a bit crazy here . We have a ds9 that we conceived easily on cycle 3 I think but then lots of miscarriages , doctors , me getting sick and finally ivf twice and dd2 born through a gestational carrier in the US. Well I really want one more so here we are again and am actually trying naturally myself for a few more months before trying ivf and then possibly again surrogacy but not sure about that.
Sighing I can see a faint line :)!

Passthebiscuitspls · 06/06/2014 07:02

Hhh, hi Nordic and welcome. I really hope that it is a line and is your BFP. What a journey you've had! I hope this time is easier for you and you can do it naturally.

Wilting have you tested yet? Or do you think it was AF? I'm obviously hoping it wasn't for you!!

Xx

wiltingfast · 06/06/2014 07:40

Welcome nordic! Fx for you :)

I keep having v small bleeds on and off biscuits so I haven't bothered testing. Probably some kind of af I reckon. If the bleeding had stopped completely I'd have tested by now!

oif · 06/06/2014 08:26

Hi all, lovely to hear of scans and bfps.

We moved last weekend, total chaos, and I have just been exhausted and emotionally a bit all over the place, which wrote off any chance of dtd, and now DP is off for work for 10 days, so we have just completely missed this month - which was our last chance to get an under 3 year gap, which I was really hoping for. Anyway, have to just distract myself until next month and resolve to give it a proper try then.

Nordic - I think I was on an antenatal April 2012 thread with you (I would have been under a different username) - fx for this time!

Nordicmom · 06/06/2014 09:41

Thanks for the warm welcome guys :)!
Fingers crossed for you wilting its not AF !
Oif yes I was on the April 2012 antinatal. Dd is 2 like yours and I would love one more with a smaller gap this time.
Doesn't seem to be happening so far so getting depressed since I at least used to be able to conceive easily but then miscarry where as now am less fertile clearly. Have had two suspected chemicals so far . Bfn this morning . I felt like this month is a write off so preparing myself to move on. The cramps i've been having since 5 dpo are something I never have in a normal cycle though just when we''ve tried a few times so that's weird and have had other symptoms too but I think it's not going to take as usual :(

SweepTheHalls · 06/06/2014 19:42

Hi guys, just checking in. 1 week to go for me until I find out this cycle.DS 1 is a January boy, DS 2 is Feb and if this month is lucky then this would be Mar h. Seems like fate to me!
