PetiteChouette · 01/01/2014 00:34

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Good luck to all of us ttcers for 2014. May there be much success, happiness and sticky beans all round. PC xxxGrin

PunkyPod · 01/01/2014 01:47

Happy new year. Wishing lots of September babies for everyone!

Dd woke at 1:15am but has thankfully gone back to sleep. I've crept into bed like a ninja in the dark. Me and dp really don't like sharing a room with her. Always feel I edge and I don't sleep well. Hope she sleeps through now...

Had a fair bit of cm today to the point I had to check if AF had turned up. She hasn't. Please don't come!!! Think I'll do a test tomorrow evening when we get home but will defo do one on Thursday morning if AF still isn't there. I think I'm due 2nd or 3rd.

Getting married in 18 days!!!!!! Grin

Oh, Nordic. I'm a half Finn. Nice to see other Finns on these boards :)

queenasanti3 · 01/01/2014 01:59

Oh go on then I'll hop on this bus too please.
I think Iam due some time this week, as my cycles have got shorter after givin birth to my dd who is 5 months old, so if my period has not come by friday 3rd think I best start testing too Smile ?
Good luck everyone x

Gingerpanther27 · 01/01/2014 02:09

waves to newbies having a cheeky wee drink cos Fed up of limbo land and whereas I've had recurrent miscarriages and chemicals when I was been good as gold so been very reckless tonight as apart from a dubious squinty imagined line all bfns. And my mother suddenly turning up pretending she gives a crap about us didn't help matters. Happy New year everyone :)

Treaclepie19 · 01/01/2014 05:02

Hi again everyone, been lurking since I first said hi as joined the december bus late.
Still, fingers crossed for this month. Will be our first proper month...
Sorry to hear your news English
Fingers crossed for you.

Cherieblossom · 01/01/2014 08:23

Hello everyone
Happy new year!
Cycle 2 for us and AF/BFP due 6 jan
Unfortunately I have NO pregnancy symptoms and all my AF/PMS symptoms at the moment. Sweet tooth and spots on the chin. :-(
So unfortunately I think AF will show up this month and I will be booted onto the February bus!

I hope you girls get lucky and that lots of BFP news show up on this thread soon

Xx

Choccywoccydodah · 01/01/2014 09:09

Happy new year everyone!!

Good one here, didn't drink except one small glass of champers that lasted me almost an hour!!

Cherie, my first month I fell pg, spots on the chin was one of my symptoms also no symptoms was a symptom last month I fell Wink. Good luck!!

BexBoo12 · 01/01/2014 09:36

So sorry to gate crash the January bus, but I'm thinking the December bus is no longer in use...people on there asked me to post a wedding forgot I from yesterday - which I have done now, it's on my profile for anyone that wants to see. Happy new year to everyone!! And I'm sending all my love and luck that 2014 is kind to us all xxx

Love Bex xx

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/01/2014 09:42

Happy new year ladies, hoping you all have a great 2014, which brings you all your longed for sticky beans. Thank you all for your kind words, it really does make things a little better.

Anyone who's been in a similar position... What did you do with regards to TTC & charting your next cycle? Leave til one AF? Or chart straight away?

Cherieblossom · 01/01/2014 10:04

Choccy i hope you are right
I will definitely let you know if you are!
But I really feel AF coming... And as a result I had a few
Drinks and fags last night!!
With my previous two, I always had an altered sense of smell as a first symptom which I haven't got now.
Anyway we didn't really try last month so this is the first month of trying. Actually let me rephrase that. It is the first month of ME trying because DH doesn't like to hear about OPK etc. It puts him off from dtd!
I do it myself and I know when I ovulate anyway with CM and other symptoms (I become very very emotional).
Let's hope we become pg in the next 6 months as I am keen to having a baby born as close to September as possible for school.
I guess they come when they decide to, and when I look back at my 2 DC, I wouldn't change the month of pregnancy to am earlier one. I find they perfect as they are and when they came was right.
Sorry for a philosophical rant, but you know what I mean. We fret like mad, whilst knowing deep down that our little ones will come when the time is right.
Xx

Flukewoman · 01/01/2014 10:11

Hello ladies! I don't even know if I belong here really but DH and I got a bit carried away this time, and apparently during the most fertile window (on guess work). We do want another child but this year would make it difficult both professionally and financially. I don't know what to think! We have a two year old and I'd like one or two more children, but also enjoy my work. But I do know I have been obsessing about it since the, ahem, events and for that reason I'd like to hop on the bus if that's ok.

LMP was 24 Dec and cycles have been between 21-28 days in recent months which makes things very uncertain.

ImaginaryHat · 01/01/2014 10:52

Happy new year everyone, may 2014 bring you everything you wish for.

Aw Bex you did it, congratulations! What a lovely way to start the new year!

English, are you having blood tests to monitor your hgc levels or is that not what usually happens? I did, but my situation was kind of back to front in that I got my 'periods' at the normal time but then felt unwell afterwards and tests showed I'd been pregnant both months and my 'periods' had been early miscarriages. It took a few weeks for the hgc to drop down to negative levels, and while I was still testing positive my opks stayed dark the whole time, so charting that was impossible for the next cycle. I'm not sure what happens with temperature as I dont monitor that. Sorry dont know if that's any help at all, maybe someone who temps can help? x

Choccywoccydodah · 01/01/2014 10:53

Cherie rant away!! That's what we're here for!
I know what you mean about charting etc. dh doesn't seem to mind too much but the other morning he'd been out the night before and it took him 4, yes 4 attempts to inseminate me ha ha!! He said it's the pressure (in a woeful voice!!). Then yesterday he just said, there's another load if swimmers for you Grin. (Sorry if tmi!)
I wouldn't change ds birthday in august for the world. I know it won't hold him back Smile. And the lucky thing gets a summer holiday birthday every year!

English I started straight away. I get a positive opk on cd14 and after my first chem, I got a positive bang on time (from first day of bleed) and this month after the second was cd15. You'll be fine to start straight away.

MundayCakes85 · 01/01/2014 11:02

Happy New Year everyone. Take your seats, pull off your waterproofs and wooly hats and snuggle down with one of the pile of fluffy blankets found by the door. January is going to be a brilliant bus!
Hope you all had a great NYE- we had a curry and a few drinks and watched the fireworks on telly Smile
AFM I'm cd21, no temp spike but it's been all over the shop this month, waking up at different times. DH said yesterday he thought I was pregnant but not sure if I've O'd yet so dtd-athon began again yesterday!
English sorry you've been through a tough time, got a feeling 2014 will bring lots of happiness for us all [hugs]

Gingerpanther27 · 01/01/2014 11:02

Bex you look amazing congrats :)

MundayCakes85 · 01/01/2014 11:03

PS Choccy love the TMI! Made me chuckle, think all men are quite similar. I hadn't seen my DH in a few days and he bragged there would be lots of swimmers yesterday to keep me going!!

ImaginaryHat · 01/01/2014 11:04

Cross post with Choccy. Well those answers probably just confuse you more dont they?! We've both been through the same situation and had different experiences of opks afterwards so I guess just try and see what happens. I'd be inclined to follow what choccy said though as my situation was weird.

skybluegirl33 · 01/01/2014 11:07

This bus is officially off now,woo hoo!

Best of luck to everyone on it and here's hoping to lots of BFPs this year.

Keepingmyconvertible · 01/01/2014 11:20

Tried to post this last night but it wouldn't work so it's a little out of sync!

So sorry english rubbish news, hope you are ok and you get your BFP soon!

Happy New Year to us all and may there be a huge surge of babies being born in Sept/Oct at a delivery suite near you!(or at home if you choose Grin)!x

Keepingmyconvertible · 01/01/2014 11:28

Congrats Bex lovely photo!x

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/01/2014 11:33

Thanks Choccy and Imaginary. The doctor here just said to see how long I bleed for, shouldn't be longer than a week, then do a test in a week or see and if not negative then to go back.
Do I count my bleeding now as a 'period', on my FF app I've counted yesterday as cd 1 just so I have something to go from.

PunkyPod · 01/01/2014 11:36

English, when I had an MC at 7 weeks my next cycle was 6 weeks long. First 2 weeks were the MC and recovery, then it's as if my body went I to it's usual 4 week cycle. I opked and got positives at the usual times, dtd and hey presto DD came!

missmrsmummy · 01/01/2014 11:43

Fx everyone! New year, new start, lots of BDing and hopefully lots of BFPs! x
